Hvac Repair reviews in Elizabethtown

    Lakes Hvac Service LLC
Dan was very responsive when I needed a quote to replace an 18 yr old furnace I was having problems with. He was professional and provided a very competitive quote. He worked with us to get the most efficient furnace and A/C system and stay within our budget. He also ensured what we got qualified for all the current rebates from UGI and PPL. We're very happy with the service he provided and the system. A veteran that also provided a fellow veteran a discount. I highly recommend him.

Mike and his techs make it a point to get you fit in to their schedules and diagnose problems , have made repairs after diagnosis from others would likely be a more expensive replacement. Honest and has integrity !! AAAA plus and highly recommend their services

    Leffler Energy
Now that I am rid of this pathetic excuse for an energy company, I will tell my story. These people are all talk, promise, talk, promise, and absolutely no action whatsoever. The following is their idea of 24/7 service and support you can rely on in any weather. I called on Dec. 26th, 2017 inquiring when our automatic delivery was coming. (I should not have to do this, that is what automatic is supposed to be, you know, kind of.....automatic.) Tank #1 is empty & #2 is about 16%. Was told I was to receive a delivery on Dec. 22nd, but the driver ran out of propane before he got to us. They will come on Dec. 27th. I informed them that the delivery had to be made as we were leaving town to visit family. I am told, "It will be". Returned home Dec. 31st to NO heat, and a house filled with propane fumes. Tanks are empty and sucking air. Called 24/7 service, and it took over an hour on hold to get through. Bottom line--we have no one to come out, you are on your own. Try to get to you tomorrow. Had to drive to Harrisburg Walmart on New Years eve to buy enough electric heaters to try to save our plumbing. It is -9 degrees outside with a wind chill of -20 degrees. The afternoon of Jan. 1st a technician comes and just puts two hand held tanks of propane in out tank #1. He says he has no idea when we will get a delivery. Temperature in our house is 48 degrees. I called 24/7 non-service and was on hold forever. I was eventually told you will get your propane TOMORROW. It is scheduled for you, and oooh baby, we have 200 gallons on the truck just for you. The next day, NO SHOW. I called again and when I finally got through, I was told it will be TOMORROW. On JANUARY 3rd, 2018 we got our Dec. 22nd propane delivery. I sent a letter of compliant to the home office, about the complete failure of their most basic service, which was never replied to. I physically visited their office twice and was never able to speak to the general manager. (In meetings, I was told.) They sent someone out to talk to me, and they refused to read the copy of my original letter that I brought with. He said, "Just tell me what happened". He promised to talk to the general manager to 'see what they could do', and call me in the morning. Next day, morning came--and went. NO CALL. That afternoon I returned to the home office. This so called delivery manager told me the general manager offered a 50 cent discount per gallon on the delivery. He would not reimburse me for the cost of the electric heaters, as I still had them to use!! Seriously, I didn't need them until their massive screw-up! If I had them with me, I would have left them on their so called service counter--to give to the next poor sucker they do this to. Furthermore, On the day of delivery, I shopped the price with other providers, and every single one was at LEAST 50 cents a gallon cheaper than Patriot Propane. I refused the lame offer, and referred them back to my original letter. Credit me the cost of the repeatedly failed delivery to keep me as a customer. Nope, can't (won't) do that. This so call delivery manager told me, "Its not like we are letting you run out of gas all the time!" He literally stated, "We never let you run out before, did we?" I'm supposed to say to them, its o' tay, its o' tay, that YOU LEFT ME IN THE LURCH and endangered my family! This guy just kept talking about HIS business problems, the bad weather, etc. NOT MY PROBLEM. Your service failure is MY problem, and you are not listening, as even all that I endured, I am trying to reach a proper resolution. Beyond belief. Just so you know--I was a six year customer, bought my lifetime certified tanks from them, and was never in arrears. This review is only a synopsis. Giving the most relevant info, so hopefully others can be warned to steer clear of this lousy business that doesn't have a clue, what customer service actually is. It is not the words on your website, or the recorded message while you are on hold to customer non-service, it is what you actually deliver to the CUSTOMER.

Installation was meticulous. Not only does the system work great, the installation looked absolutely professional. Great attention to detail. This is not work that you want to go to the lowest bidder. Use Dave and you will get a quality product.

    H L Bowman
We called HL Bowman during a very hot weekend in August when our AC stopped cooling and began leaking water. Their staff was able to come out within 24 hours of us calling. The tech was very knowledgeable, provided tips for maintenance, and diagnosed the issue quickly. The parts were ordered and unit fixed within a few days. They were definitely worth the money spent for quality, prompt service

    Environmental Controls & Service
This repair was done in one day, with the team working as fast as they could on one of the hottest days of the year. The system is so quiet we had to put streamers on the vents to see if the unit was working (it is!). Costs were at or below estimates given. Communication of team with us was appropriate and timely. Staff cleaned up after themselves and did a great job of workmanship. They will service what they sell and will come when called.

    Haldeman Mechanical, Inc.
I thought the price was a little high for a fan motor, but I guess that is what they are now. They could have warned me what it was going to cost before they ordered the motor. I did not have a choice anyway, but it would have been less of a surprise. They did the job that I hired them to do. I cannot fault them for that. They were clean and orderly. It took about a week to find the motor, get the motor in, and get it installed. I probably would use them again.

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
This service was your standard furnace tune-up and inspection.  Our regular service provider (that we had been using for almost 10 years with an annual service contract) could not fit us in the schedule for the winter service call until 12/24!  That was not acceptable.  So, we checked Angie's list to find someone else to perform the same service.  The technician was punctual, a good communicator, and left the room neat and clean.  We will use One Hour Heating/Rohrers again.  We just can't decide if we want another annual agreement or not.

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
We recently bought the house and this was my first experience with a propane furnace.   The technician patiently went over all of the operational and maintenance points with me in a manner I could understand.   He also reported on the condition of key components on my unit and pointed out potential future issues without trying to sell me additional services at this time.
He did explain to me additional equipment that could be installed on my unit for increased efficiency and cleanliness and at what cost without a hard sell approach.   That I appreciated.    He also went over the various maintenance contract offers provided by One Hour and two of their affiliate providers which I ultimately purchased.without feeling pressured at all.
But where the technician went the extra mile was during that maintenance contract discussion.   I mentioned and showed him a water pressure issue I was having with my plumbing.   He immediately called and set up an appointment the next day with the affiliated contractor who solved the problem that day (within the newly purchased maintenance contract)..
BTW I never did purchase any of the additional equipment and I was never called back and pressured to do so by a sales person.   So as of now I couldn't be happier with One Hour.

    Worley & Obetz Inc
Everything went well. Technician was very polite and personable. He was on time, left the place very clean and explained how the old boiler is holding up I have been using this company for years The company I used before them was sold to them and they kept on many of those employees. Wish they still provided a lock in price for heating oil for the season.
