    When the technician first arrived, he thought it was just a maintenance tune up and was not aware that there was a problem, so there was some miscommunication from the office. After the service tech performed the maintenance tune up, the screeching noise did not recur. He explained that my system was possibly reaching a point where it would be better to replace the entire system rather than parts if the problem reoccurred. He arranged to have an estimator come out to give us an estimate on a new system. That will be next week.

    Overall it was a very positive experience; one of the best I have had with HVAC sales, service and installation.
    Steve, the gentleman who does their sales, accommodated my schedule very well, and was extremely knowledgeable in the available systems and the benefits/drawbacks of each system.  He was invaluable in determining the best system to go with given utility availability in our neighborhood.  He had facts, figures, and data at the ready to show what the best options were, and all data was independently verifiable (sources for information were made available).
    After reviewing the options and discussing the cost/benefit of each item, I settled on the combination of air handler and heat pump that made the most sense for my location.  It was much less anxiety-inducing than I thought it would be; Steve was very open and forthright with his input.  Rather than simply pushing the ultra-high-end items, we reviewed the cost-benefit side, which made me very confident that we had the proper combination.
    About 3 weeks later, the equipment was in and we were ready to schedule the service.  We scheduled a day that was suitable, and Matt (their installation technician) arrived on-time and ready to go.  He had 2 assistants with him over the course of two days; I apologize that I don't recall their names.  Matt and both assistants were always prompt, courteous, and professional without being overly stuffy.  It's nice to be able to have a conversation without it being clinically sterile!  They worked quickly, and had the majority of the equipment installed on the first day, including the fabrication of a custom base on which to mount the furnace.  The second day was much like the first; they arrived within 2 minutes of their scheduled time, and were able to complete the installation (including setup of the control system) by noon that day.
    All technicians used shoe covers while in the home to prevent tracking water and dirt in from outside.  If they had they had to leave the premises, they were sure to let me know departure time and anticipated return time.  Everything was installed properly and to code, and everything was cleaned up to at least the same condition it was originally in (if not better).
    I also received follow up contact to make sure we were happy with the results of the installation and whether we had any questions regarding the overall process.  Happily, we had no issues and everything was explained well enough that we did not need any additional visits or training.
    I would highly recommend Gary & Sons to anyone looking to replace or upgrade their heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.  There are many in this industry that are not as straightforward and knowledgeable, and that take shortcuts...Gary & Sons definitely go the extra mile, and it's worth every penny.

    after the initial visit to determine unit sizes for each room, we were able to discuss type of hvac that would work best and set a date for installation.. on that date the workers arrives on time and ready to get to work. professional and courteous. took the time to show us how the remotes worked after the two units were installed.. I will definitely be calling Gary & Sons again too add one more unit to our master bedroom

    They have always been good. Maybe it took an hour for the work to be completed. They left the area clean. They are very knowledgeable and, being we have used them through the years, they know our equipment or whatever that we have and what to do for us.

    Our central air wasn't working 5/26. Repair got rerunning, but it did same problem again. Another repairman came again, compressor shot. Sales rep came late evening sold us one, had 1 in stock & team available 5/27 to install. They came on time & completed removal of old & installation of new in satisfactory time.

    Our salesperson quit shortly after the sale, but information was not thorough. Installation went fairly smooth, but the chimney they left was hideous with pipes of various lengths sticking out a stone chimney.

    Quoted in a timely manner.  Price was fair (slightly higher than expected)  Quality of the product was great.  Service was great. 
    The only person I had a problem with was the original salesman.  We visited their showroom with a product in mind..  They were listed as a representative.  The fit was very important and he was not too knowledgeable, but finally he called the manufacturer and got the information that we needed.  From that point on it was a breeze.

    Installed high-efficiency Peerless boiler & tank in mid-2011.  Again, one of the selling points was that they stock all parts for any equipment they sell and install.

    Before the end of 2011, there were five service calls for no heat or DHW.  On Xmas Eve, tech determined that a control module was defective, AND they did not have in stock.  Told to wait until 12/26 for them to get part.  Pleaded with them to find it somewhere, and ultimately a distributor rep had a spare in the trunk of his car.  (BTW the house had 18 family members visiting for the holiday.)

    Continued to have problems in 2012.  Finally, manufacturer rep and others did a major re-installation and set-up in mid-2012.  Two months later, again there was no heat.

    Since re-install in 2012, there are 7 more incidents of loss of heat & DHW (to-date total is 16 complaints).  During this latest record-breaking cold spell, we lost heat and we are in the 4th day without hot water waiting for a part that was promised earlier.  This is the 3rd time that Gary & Sons did not have a part!

    We frequently make repeated calls for updates.  Often we do not get a promised return call.

    Gary & Sons demonstrates a complete lack of respect or regard for our plight.

    WentThe call went very well. the man that gave us the estimate was prompt and professional as well as very knowledgeable. The job went very smoothly and he was always on time. As well as patient answering all our questions. We liked them so much we asked for and estimate to remodel our bathroom. He showed us pictures of other remodel jobs and assured us he can do every aspect of the job from the plumbing and electrical to the framing drywall and finishing...we liked what he had to say and will be starting the job with them very soon!!... thanks Dave!!..you are a true profesiinal
