  When I called the locksmith to schedule the appointment, they took all my information and then quoted the price for each component of the service.  I tried to add it up in my head, and though it sounded slightly more expensive than another highly rated provider's coupon, I went with Della because I was in a rush and had invested the time in the call.
  The locksmith showed  up on time and had me show him all the locks that needed changed.  As we checked them out, I realized that I had two more cylinders that I had had counted in my head when I called from work to make the appointment.  No problem.  I did not have a key for one of the locks, but he was able to pick it so that he could change it.  He changed all the locks and then gave me the bill.  I tried to pay by credit card and was told there would be a 4% surcharge (not disclosed when I called to make the appointment.)  I had to run to my old house a few blocks away to get my checkbook to avoid the surcharge.
  I rated Price a D, and that brought my Overall down to B.  The price difference from the other provider was wider than I had realized.  Also, each copy of the key was $4, which is about twice what my hardware store charges.  In retrospect, I wish had asked them to quote a total price on the phone, not just the components, and then gone with the other provider and only gotten one key to make copies at the hardware store.  While the service was excellent, I could have saved $39 on the service call with the other provider's coupon and $14 on the keys at the hardware store.

  The first time we called they didn't get back to me. They told me they would come on Thursday, and never showed up. When I called them back, they apologized. When they came to change the locks, they changed 7 locks within three hours. The locks had a difficult mechanism, and they did an excellent job.

I was free to go about my work and he took the time to explain everything to me and was willing to add to his day by looking at another long standing issue with my back door that he also resolved.   They were great. My house was robbed so I need help in a hurry. They came the next day and replaced my front door lock and measured and gave me a price on a new door.  The size of my door was custom so it had to be ordered.  As soon as it came in they scheduled the installation.  They said it would take about a half a day and it did.  They work quickly and efficiently and were very courteous and pleasant to deal with through the whole experience.  I have recommended them to other people and would definitely use them again.

  Did my search here this afternoon, I called Della Polla minutes later and he was at my house a half hour later.  Very honest, responsive, punctual and reasonable.  I will always use this company.  He could have completely ripped me off because I had no clue what I needed and he just charged me the service call fee.
