    Par One Construction Inc
Par One Construction worked with me on my budget. I was not able to go over a certain amount and they helped me every step of the way. We designed the layout, picked the finishes and started. Once the project got underway there were complications with the plumbing that they addressed immediately. Kept me informed on everything that they did. Compared to a dingy old basement with little lighting, i am now pleased to say that we have a bedroom, bathroom, and a living room. Their employees were very polite and punctual. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Basement Waterproofing Solutions
They broke up about 18 inches of concrete around the perimeter of our basement. They installed perforated pipe and stone in the drain area and hooked it up to two sump pumps. They even installed taps for dehumidifiers and condensate from the furnace. We had gotten three estimates and theirs was most complete as well as the lowest.  We received a lifetime warranty that is transferrable to the next owner.

    PA Basement Waterproofing Inc

It was the worst experience with a contractor in my 63 years and I worked construction. When they packed up and left

they did nothing to the now bare block walls. I had to scrape off the peeling paint and dirt which got into my furnace and blew all through my home. Then I was contacted by the job foreman who told me I was scammed that I never had mold. When I confronted the president he told me that was just retailiation for him being fired because the job foreman was stealing from him and was wanted in Ohio. The next three nights I had to sleep in my car because the air was so foul. They then brought out a heppa air flow so I could return to my up stairs. To resolve the problem I had to pay $748.00 for the paint and $900.00 for two partial days of labor to have it sprayed on. On the last day the president showed up demanding that money before they were done and before I had a chance to inspect the work. I still have plaster repair work from their incompetence and a heating system that requires service. I have had one hard rain that the drainage system failed to stop the water soaking through the blocks and washing off the first coat off sealant. I was never so glad to get a contractor out of my home. I was threatened that I would be receiving a letter from their attorney for writing about my experience. I would welcome the chance to have their employees back grounds checked and review the pictures of their work.

    Your Remodeling Guys
They were good. We've used them several times, so they were fine. We were happy with the garage side of it. We were happy with the basement work. They put a drainage system in, so that was good. We were not crazy about their basement remodeling. We had them come in to give us a plan to finish the basement off in one knot and we weren't really crazy with that experience. That was just mostly because of the sales guy that came out, I think. They've done a good job on the work they've actually done.

    Devil Dog Affordable Lawn Care
Terrible contractors. They start a project and don't finish it ever. They
were replacing our interior doors. Removed all the doors including bathroom and
didn't put back on for 3 months. They were putting floor in the bathroom and
left toilet in the bathtub for 3 weeks. Calling them is pointless because they
don't answer the phone, they call you back when they feel like it. Don't let
them do any painting your 5 years old will do a batter job. Bottom line they
will quote you one thing but charge you another. Besides all they are racist.

YAY!! No water!!  Started by me calling BWS and speaking with David.  Very friendly.  He came out the next day to give me an estimate.  From what I have been reading, from the other reviews,  David should be the only one talking with the customers.  He did inspect the inside and outside of the house before he offered any solutions.  He asked for my email so he could email me an estimate.  I had it an estimate in my email the next day.  I let him know that I wanted to shop around a little before I commit.  Really no need.  All the other estimates 3 total and the people they sent out to do estimates were ridiculous.  David did not try to hard sell me anything.  He simply stated this is what you need to fix the problem and how much it'll cost to do it.
It took me three weeks to get other estimates and to finally do what I should have done call David back and schedule the work.  In between that time, nobody from BWS was calling me and hounding me to get the work done with them.  At this point I was in a bit of a time crunch. We work from home and my other half was going to be out of town the following week.  That is when I wanted to get the loud part of the work done.  David made it happen.
After I had to do a lot of prep work. Removing two sinks, a toilet, two rows of tiles from around the whole perimeter and getting the base board heat loose.  They came in and immediately got to work.  The only real gripe I have is they bent up my fins on the baseboard heat with the jack hammer and concrete that was sitting on top of it.  But David gave me an additional discount for the trouble.  They were in and out in two days.  Very minimal mess and now we have a dry basement.  Thank you BWS.  Awesome job.

    Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing of PA
I totally agree with many members here about this company and in several reviews, I had the same bad experience. It was the worst experience I have ever had. The so called inspector had a convincing story, I fell for it, but after I signed (I have been dealing with water issues for 2 years in a brand new home) it just didn't sit well with me. Women's intuition. After losing sleep for 2 nights because of the huge amount of money they wanted and reviews here and the BBB, I drove to the office and signed my cancellation form. Instead of handing me my check, they sent the inspector to the house to hand deliver it and that is when things went downhill. I was prepared because I had contacted another company (ethical company) and they told me what would transpire on this inspector's return trip and it went down exactly like he said it would step by step. Things went from bad to worse but I didn't cave. He wouldn't leave(I live alone) He kept reducing the price, tried to force me to call past clients for references on the spot. Then I was offered to place a sign in my yard as advertisement for a price reduction. I was told if I didn't resign I would be charged for materials because there is a form you sign that says you are responsible but I knew it wasn't legal. I was told if I waited, the free financing was no longer a guarentee, the price would go up 7.5 percent. Then he tried to get to me by saying he has a crew now with no job trying to make me feel bad. He just kept going on and on and I was getting more and more upset and very uneasy. I finally was able to get him to leave but I was close to calling 911. I got my check back but not without some serious emotional trama. The cost of the job was 3 times my other estimates and my new estimates would have more work done, fixing everything that needed done including things the so called inspector missed. They use scare tatics which added to the emotion stress because I know there is a serious problem to begin with on this new home. If anyone reads this I beg of you to not call this company.

    Thompson's Basement Waterproofing
Everything went great! The service professional showed up and wanted to get some information from me. Provided him with the necessary information, then we proceeded to survey the area in question (basement). First, we looked at cause of water damage. I was told that a plumber needed to come out for the repair. Next, we looked around basement for possible mold and mildew, but none could be found according to the service professional. He recommended if an odor occurs, then to possibly replace carpet in basement. He then said there was nothing else, so he grabbed his things and said good-bye.

    DBS CONSTRUCTION INC
The guys from DBS construction always do a terrific job. We have hired them on two separate occasions to construct horse riding arenas, and were extremely happy both times. They have reasonable rates, they know what they are doing, and they get the job done right the first time. They don't cut corners, and they go above and beyond. They leave the job site in perfect order. If you are having excavation of any kind done, I strongly recommend calling DBS construction. I really respect the team from DBS construction because they won't take advantage of you in any way, and they will do whatever it takes to do the job right. I have hired a lot of different contractors and worked with at lot of different businesses over the years, and DBS construction ranks very high on my list of great people to do business with.
