I ordered a large load of topsoil from these guys back in September for some flowerbeds... Didn't remember to share my disappointing experience at the time, but with spring fast approaching, I thought I should warn others of the "quality" they'd be getting for their hard earned money. I'm no gardening expert so I couldn't tell when they dropped it off, but what they delivered was mostly clay and very poorly suited for a flowerbed. The first time it rained, the whole mound clumped together and became an awful mess to move. Very heavy, soaks up so much water and becomes so dense it would probably suffocate most plants. My sister, who works in landscaping in Cleveland, came by to PA a few weeks later and confirmed my suspicions... What Draguns delivered was almost completely clay. Hardly any of the useful organics that you'd expect to find in topsoil. Barely able to dig into it to plant anything after it got rained on. Wish I had known at the time, but this is definitely NOT what you want, or who you want to order from, if placing or revamping a flowerbed. Might be good for filling an unwanted hole or something, although I don't think you'd want to pay their topsoil price for that! Please don't make the same mistake and get ripped off like I did!

    J R's Lawn & Tree
We were lied to not only by our neighbor but by the tree service as well. We were told our tree would be shaped and not cut too much to harm it, so we gave permission for them to climb the tree. Once in the tree, they started hacking off the entire back side of the tree. Even when the tree people (Dan) were asked about what was taking place we were lied to again so they could stay in the tree. They removed the entire back half of the tree and never rounded anything on our side. They ruined our tree. I would never have allowed them in the tree if I knew this would be done.

    NaturaLawn Of America - Pittsburgh
Over the years we were able to keep up on our lawn. However, certain things came up in life like they always do. Julie was very nice on the phone with me and Cayman came out and treated our lawn for the first time today. He was very polite and explained to me what was going to be put on our lawn. Its nice to know that this company spot sprays and not blanket sprays. Wonderful people.

Jules' Lawn Care & Tree Removal
Needed to have a dead ~20' tree next to my driveway cut down and hauled away, and was referred to Jules' Lawn Care & Tree Removal by a friend who's used them before. Jules came out himself, gave a quick estimate and a good, no BS description of what needed to be done, and scheduled us for a couple of days later. He does lose a mark for not letting us know earlier than he did that his prior job, which he did mention, would end up overrunning and we needed to reschedule. Still, he and his crew were there on time as rearranged, got right down to work, and took care of the job quickly and well. Perhaps most impressive was how well they cleaned up afterwards - no branches or remnants left behind on my driveway or the street, it was like they weren't even there! Would definitely recommend - in fact have already referred to my next-door neighbour!

North Hills Tree & Lawn Services
From initial contact, to estimate, to job completion all service was top notch. Ryan ( the owner) was very responsive with the initial estimate, and then advanced the schedule of removal since the tree was in danger of falling over. The NHTS crew arrived on time and began the tree removal. Tree was not felled but attached to crane, cut and lowered piece by piece. small branches were chipped, large branches and trunk loaded and hauled away. No mess left behind, and neighboring trees unharmed. Extremely satisfied. All crew members were highly skilled, cordial and professional. I highly recommend North Hills Tree Service. Price was very reasonable..

    Lawns by Don
I really wanted to leave a nice review; however, I can't. The good points - The Mulching was done and turned out well for the most part (they mulched over my wife's newly-planted ground cover in one area) - The branch we asked to be removed was removed (albeit, clumsily at best) Don is a friendly guy who seems to care about the quality of his work --- until it affects his bottom line. With that said I will get into the rest. The time quoted for the entire job was 3 days. A week later, it was still not done. The consistency of the workers to show up was laughable. There was one day where the guy showed up for 15 minutes around 9 am, walked around the yard once and mysteriously left. He returned at 4:00 pm -- mulched for about 30 minutes and left for the day... which explains how this job ended up taking over a week. In fairness, some of the days the temperature reached 90 degrees, but I would kind of think that practitioners of lawn services would be accustomed to this. The whole time that the job was 'in process', they parked their ATV in my driveway. Normally, this would be fine, except the ATV ended up leaking oil all over the place and stained my once very clean concrete driveway. Upon being notified of our displeasure with the mess, Don did try to clean the driveway with remedies he found 'off the internet' to no avail. Upon expressing my displeasure with the situation, I asked Don to knock some money off the total - $100 - nothing crazy so I could recoup some of the cost it will take me to clean my driveway. Don offered to pressure wash it; however, I was disinclined to do so when he informed me that I would have to give permission to him, essentially a waiver to absolve him of liability, to pressure wash my driveway. I declined this as the quality of his company's work thus far did not fill me with confidence that this would turn out well. He refused to take any money off the original agreement. (There had been 2 quotes floating around at one point... one from Don, and another one from his son that increased the price of both mulch and labor). We had to call Don up to 'correct the mistake', which was obviously shady. So, father (owner) charges one price and then worker (son) attempts to charge another (higher) later in the process. When discussing the driveway incident, Don then goes on to tell me that he has already discounted our job and he can't give a dollar more... then cites the snafu between the difference in prices between the two earlier quotes as the 'discount' he had afforded me. It was the price in the original quote before the son increased the price for no reason. He then when onto say that he had underbid the project and gave 2 square yards of mulch to me out of his own pocket. This is obviously purely anecdotal as this is the first I'm hearing of this extra mulch obviously. We went over the driveway issue one more time in which he conceded that they did in fact stain my driveway and that he was not going to financially compensate me for that by taking money off the price as he was already making little off this transaction. I ended up paying the full amount... for now. I fully expect to see old Don in small claims court about the driveway. In summation - I gave the quality of the work a C... the mulch is actually good, but seriously, it would probably be hard to screw up mulch work. The time it took to complete the job and the accidental destruction of the ground cover knocks the score down. The timeliness and professionalism, or lack thereof do as well. Use at your own risk.

    Rick Page Quality Landscaping
I have had water problems from a hill behind my home and have had several French drains installed, but they never fixed the problem. I called several landscape contractors and they all recommended an additional French drain that would require heavy equipment and possible damage to mature trees. All of their quotes exceeded $8,000. I called Rick and he surveyed the problem and recommended a swale or dry creek bed to divert the surface water, as a French drain could not handle the volume of water coming off of the hill during downpours with already saturated ground. I went with Rick and could not be happier. His crew was prompt, professional, and barely disturbed the existing lawn. A day or two after completion there was a considerable downpour that uncovered a few unforseen problems through no fault of Rick. I called Rick and his crew came back, and problem solved, I was so impressed that there was never a question about coming back right away and making everything right. I highly recommend Rick Page Landscaping

Rob was very professional and courteous. Once he started the job, he stayed on schedule and worked hard to finish the project. We are very happy with his work and would not hesitate to work with him again in future.

    Woodchuckers Tree Service
It was a major job and they did a fantastic job. They cut it all up into pieces so it was not so unsightly. They through it back further into the woods as I had requested. I would definitely use them again.

    Central Lawn & Outdoor Solutions
J.C., the owner, is evasive even by his subcontractors account. He earned my business with an extremely low price. And so was the quality. They mowed with heavy equipment on wet ground and left deep ruts. Countless tries to contact J.C. By phone, e-mail and text message, prooved fruitless. Finally I told the subcontractors to stop mowing my lawn in June 2017. I informed J.C. That I will not pay the last bill until the damages have been repaired. Nothing happened. Instead J.C. has the audacity to send me another invoice on Nov. 11 for services not perfomed in June and July 2017. My recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
