Woodworking reviews in Conshohocken

  • I made an appointment for an estimate, took off from work, waited around all morning. No show. No call. I called the Bella Brothers office to follow up. The secretary put me on hold then told me she would call back. She never did. I wasted hours waiting for them, they didn't even have the decency to call back. Terrible.

  • Tricky remodel of living room in a 100+ year old stone house. Nothing in my house is perfectly straight or level since it was built so long ago. Jesse leveled the floors using a simple and effective technique that no other contractor suggested (I had several look at the job). He also managed to rebuild and straighten my front door assembly that is located within a narrow and tricky opening in the stone wall. Custom built a large entertainment/storage center and another storage nook. These pieces are excellent. Impossible to reproduce without significant skill in furniture making. Installed new hardwood floors, painted, installed new light fixtures and switches. Jesse is a very skilled and professional contractor. He cared as much as I did about the quality of the work. He is also a great problem solver.

  • He made a new closet for my basement, cute doors for my hidden cat litter boxes, and lighting for my roof. Love his work and would hire him again. The one picture he built the whole closet from nothing

  • We were on tight schedule and Robert was very accommodating. He was always on the job site and kept us updated with the progress. As always when doing a home renovation project something unexpected will occur, but Robert helped put us as ease and through the process. All I can say is if you are looking to renovate your home, Robert does great work and is reliable. I highly recommend him.

  • Sometime it took a little long to complete some parts, but I'm very happy with the results. Very helpful, friendly, and I'm very glad I chose them! They were very helpful to make sure I was satisfied with all of the work done.

  • Fantastic communication & responsiveness!
We contacted Bella Brothers on Monday morning with a request to for a time sensitive project related to a house sale / home inspection. Later that morning I received a request for additional information related to estimating the job. By early afternoon I had not only received a written proposal and estimate for the project but an available crew for the next day.
Christina in the office could not have been more responsive or helpful.  She stayed later in the evening to firm up the final logistics for the work and to ensure that the proposal was acceptable to achieve our goals.  The project manager "Eric" called me on Monday to ensure our final plans and work began by 8:00am Tuesday morning.  Overall Bella Brothers' team was professional, courteous, and helpful.  The final work was exactly as promised and right on target with the estimate (despite their having never seen the job site prior to beginning work).
Overall we had a great experience from first contact on Monday to being provided final photos on Thurs to document the work.

  • Frank and his men removed an old entry door and replaced it with a new wood one. They painted it. They repaired and painted a wood threshold to the door entrance and filled it with cement beneath the threshold. They replaced a door knob on another entry door. At another entry doorway, they repaired the outer door frame which had been gnawed by a squirrel at the base and painted the frame. They also replaced a foil dryer vent with a semi-rigid one. During the course of the work an oil feed line began to leak in the garage. Frank and his men contained the leak and repaired the valve. He also later came to remove some outdated metal stripping from the inner door frame where the door was replaced so that the door would close better. He also added a plastic inner door strip for better insulation.
  • John arrived on-time to my house. We went through the list of projects/priority. He was very mindful of staying within the 4 hour window of the coupon I had purchased. Everything went smoothly.

  • Our kitchen was probably as close to original as possible, with plastic gray and black tile from the 1950s on top of lathe and plaster walls. It had not been renovated since that time!
*If you go to this page on Facebook - - you can see both before and after pictures of our kitchen, which are really incredible. The entire project took about 6 weeks, and that was from the time we signed the contract until the job was completed. The only things not covered in this contract were the electrical work, paint, our appliances, the actual tile used for the floor and backsplash with the corresponding grout, and the hardware for the doors.
Tom was on site every day, early, working every second. He has an awesome work ethic, and demands no less from anyone who works for him. We had a problem with a sink in our back porch - people had put things into it that clogged it to the point we couldn't do laundry - and the next day, Tom had the plumber come out and fix the problem immediately. We had a fairly tight time frame to work within, as well, and Tom came through for us. When we have more work to do on our house (and we will), I will use him again without a second thought. He explained everything he was doing, was pleasant, courteous, always on time, always got right back to us regarding any issue, and is someone I feel I can trust.

  • We gave the owner of Housing Solutions, Neal, a drawing of what we imagined our new rooms to be, and he walked through the space with us, discussing what would and wouldn't work. Based on our discussion, he came back to us with a very reasonable proposal. We gave him a third of the fee to start the project, and the work began a few days later.
Even before the work on our house began the experience was out of the ordinary. Neal volunteered to meet us for a trip to Lowe's and Home Depot to guide us in picking out the light fixtures, toilet and vanity, flooring and trim. He was not necessarily offering aesthetic opinions, but rather practical advice as to what pieces his experience told him would work well in our space. We felt that this was a very helpful experience, and certainly one that no contractor has offered us before.
Neal's lead carpenter and job-runner is Barry, and he was an absolute delight to have in our house working every day. He's incredibly knowledgeable and talented in the work that he does. Because we both work from home, Barry was in constant touch about his progress, and offered solutions when changes in our plan were needed (as they always are when a job is underway). Barry was on time every day and kept at his work till quitting time. He and his assistant Maqile were always upbeat and energetic, and at day's end they swept up and organized their tools for minimal disruption of our lives.
Neal would stop by nearly every day to check on Barry's progress and to make sure that we were pleased with how things were going. Neal said several times that no job runs perfectly, but if we had any problems, he and his crew would do their best to make things right. As with every renovation project, there were a couple glitches, and indeed Neal and company took care of them immediately.
Now we've done all the painting, and it gives us great pleasure to look through the glass door from the kitchen into the brightly-lit laundry room. The formerly unpleasant and dark storage room now a functioning part of the house, and we love it.
We can't imagine such a project going better than ours did, and it's highly unlikely that another company would offer such good quality workmanship at a very reasonable price along with such great people who the customers are happy to have around. We missed them when the job was over. Every time we go into our new powder room and laundry room, we are reminded of the great work they did and how enjoyable it was having them in our day to day life.
