    Rick's Home Improvements
After receiving estimates from a few local providers, Rick's came in at the best price. After agreeing and making the deposit, Rick's (Chad) ordered what we needed and put us on his schedule. On the date of the install, the work was done efficiently and looked great at close. Would recommend!

It looks great. The whole process was entirely professional from the consultative quote, the scheduling updates, and of course; to the high quality workmanship and clean-up afterwards. Top-quality craftsmanship at a fair price. You can't beat that!

    B & E Roofing & Remodeling LLC
I reached out to the company for an estimate and they responded on the first day with a question about what I wanted.  So I responded 4 times and still have not heard anything back.  I guess business is really good that they are too busy to respond to me.

    Narvon Construction

Two Wednesdays and one Friday came and went with no quote from Narvon. I made 3 unanswered calls to Ivan at 717-989-2026 asking him if I might be seeing the quote soon. I thought maybe he wrote the email address down so in one of my voice mails I left the email address again. A day after my third phone call, I received an email quote. The price was inconsistent with the scope of the work and twice the cost of their competitors. I am left to think that this was a job that they really didn't want to do and instead of telling me so, opted to ignore me. When it became apparent that I was being persistent in getting the quote, they gave me a price that said, "We don't want the work but if you don't mind paying double, we'll do it."

Very unprofessional. I should have realized that after there was no quote on the first Friday, it was not going to be a positive experience..

The white aluminum siding is sparkling - got all the green and gray stuff off.  Amazing difference!  House looks 20 years newer.  Also did a great job on the brickwork - just wasn't as dramatic with the color.  Powerwashed cement sidewalk and porches also makes the house sparkle.  The house was so dirty and mossy (we live in the woods) that it was just embarrassing.  Now the house looks very cared for and well maintained.
    We are very pleased!
Professional job, professional equipment, good communications, responsive scheduling.  Had to reschedule once due to a very rainy day, and they told us up front that was a possibility.  Can't control the weather.  :-)
Highly recommend -- great value for the price if your house is looking dingy.

    Joyland Roofing
They came right out and fixed it.  We have always had an issue with that because whoever did that roof, matched up the roofing wrong.  We haven’t had any problems since they came and fixed it.  They did it for free.  They were very professional and they did a good job.  They were very experienced.  They cleaned up their mess.  They were good to their word.  They charged what they quoted.  I was very pleased with them.  Their price was about average.

    Holtwood Construction

I previously reported that Johnathan Smucker of Holtwood Construction installed Snow Guards that pulled out of the roof of my home. After waiting for him to make the repairs for nearly 6 months, I contracted with another Roofing Contractor who properly installed new snow guards and repaired the holes left from the improperly installed snow guards from Holtwood Construction. That repair showed that the root cause of the Holtwood failure was that they were attached with the wrong screws (much too thin) and were put in the sheet metal roof alone (there was no wood backing). Since Johnathan Smucker of Holtwood Construction was avoiding talking to me about the issue, I attempted to start dialog with a Postal Certified Letter. The Certified Letter was refused on 3 different occasions.

I originally paid $1300 for the job. The repairs to Holtwoods workmanship cost another $518 with another Roofing Contractor. I am now leaving an Angies List Review with these final details to warn others of my terrible experience.

Do not get them to do your roof they have a terrible communication problem.I had three roofs done. They put five separate pieces of rubber and had five seams on the Top roof and then the second roof had three pieces of rubber they will try and piece your roof with left over pieces of rubber.I said something to them and they told me they will replace the top roof so this is there ideal of replacing they put one piece to cover two pieces now I have four pieces of rubber and four seams. And they did not put nothing over the seams and left a big hole in the side of my house. For a company that's been around for fifty years I am not in pressed. If you want a roofing company that you have to babysit then you want to call Grove and Sons. Thanks for the jig saw puzzle on my Roof's.

    JEFF JACKSON ROOFING & SIDING
This is the second home where we've had an old roof torn off and new roof on by Jeff Jackson and his crew. Everything went most excellent (that's why we used them a second time in just a year or two), from the estimate through the cleanup. Jeff Jackson communicates well and meets his promises, even when the weather doesn't cooperate.
Estimate: We were so pleased with the last big roof job that Jeff Jackson did for us, that we didn't get multiple estimates. Jeff recommended roof colors when we asked, and we selected one of his recommendations. It looks great! We also knew that the estimate wouldn't "balloon".
Scheduling Work: Jeff gave us an estimated start range (within a few weeks of the estimate), and as the time got nearer, coordinated a start date. The crew was the same crew that put on our last roof. We knew what time they were coming each day, etc. We understood about how long it would take, and as the job went on, we knew when to expect completion. No surprises, and we felt we knew what was going on.
The Work: The crew were some very hard working guys!, as well as obviously knowing their business. They worked efficiently and worked very "clean" all through the project, not just a big cleanup at the end. The new roof looks amazing! The workmen were professional and congenial. They were very respectful of our home, and asked for our input about start times, noise, etc. We were very happy to have them do a second roof for us (different houses).
Price: When we got estimates the first time using Jeff Jackson, they weren't the lowest. Especially with our two-time roof experience, we are confident they are the best value around. We are recommending Jeff Jackson Roofing to family members (that we like). :-)

    Joyland Roofing
We have had epic roofing problems in the past because we hired a private roofer who ended up in jail!!   We weren't going to take any chances this time!   Ed, the "estimator",  arrived exactly on time and did a thorough inspection.  He was informative and congenial.  What I liked most  about him was that he was not the least bit evasive, vague, or in a hurry.   We got a few other estimates from other roofers on AngiesList and went with Joyland.    Since it was a small job,  they said they would be able to come out in "iffy" weather that they could not do big jobs in.   With this nasty snow rolling in, I was worried because of the weight of the snow on the compromised roof.   I emailed Joyland on a Thursday and was told that, under the circumstances, they would  send a few guys out Saturday morning (even though they don't usually work on Saturdays!) to do the job.  Sure enough, the young men showed up by 8:30 and got right to it.  No goofing around, no cell phones.  Up on the roof and they were done, including cleanup in 4 hours.   Reeve, the man with whom I communicated, was professional, knowledgeable, congenial, and cost-conscious.   The roof looks better than I thought it would!   This is a well-run business with consciencious  people.
