Late one night, our old cat suddenly became partially paralyzed and in pain.  We went to PETS and were attended immediately.  After examining the cat, the vet talked with us and explained the options clearly.  Based on what she said, we decided to put the cat to sleep.  The staff was competent and compassionate.  They seemed to have the facilities needed for diagnoses.
The veterinary examination, at $87, was twice what my vet charges, but under the circumstances that seems fair to me.
We had used the facility once previously, and that time too we were very satisfied with the service.

We found our cat playing with a snake late at night and had no idea what kind of snake it was or if it was poisonous. Our vet was closed but had this phone number to call on their machine. So we brought our cat down to Pets Emergency Treatment Services right away. The vet checked our cat out for bite marks and searched the internet to find out what kind of snake it was to make sure it wasn't poisonous. The staff was very friendly but we did have to wait a while. It is a good place to go for a pet emergency if your local vet is closed.

Dr. Lewis was incredibly compassionate and thorough. He performed some tests and prescribed medication. He really took his time with our pet and provided exceptional care. Within a few days, the dog was back to his "normal" self. To top it all off, the total bill was only $200.00 with medications--we never got out of our last vet for less than $400.00. Not only is Lincoln Highway Vet Clinic a great vet, they are a great value too! I would recommend them to anyone.

After using this operation for the last 10 years, we're considering parting company with the outfit because they are growing so fast they can no longer offer the personalized and caring servivce that they offered in the past. They started out with four doctors, and everyone knew each other and the patients coming in. Our oldest dog experienced some of the best vet care I've ever seen there 10 years ago. Today, however, there are six doctors in the practice now, and shuffling through them--one for one visit, another for another visit--results in the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. For example, on the last visit, the main doctor (the one we trusted most in the past) spent five minutes reviewing our dog's file standing there in front of us, his back to us, instead of looking at the dog and doing the work that was scheduled. In the past, this would have NEVER, EVER been done. But business is so good there, I guess they no longer really care. As a result, the doctors have to rely on notes made by each other about what each has done, not first-hand...I know this animal and have been treating him/her for XXX for the last two weeks...experience. Their recommendations conflict with one another, and no one seems to know what is going on. They have also lost some of their better staff members recently--one of the key issues that seems to be problematic.

In recent years, the vets have done more and more upselling. You go in for a checkup, and they try to talk you into lots of extra tests and medicines-pretty hard sell. No way can you get out of there for less than $100 per animal. Maybe they have the best interest of the animal at heart...but we got tired of it and changed vets.

Excellent Service!! I travel no less than 1 week a month. Tammy provides personalized attention to our german shephard dog which was abused as a puppy and consequently has behavioral issues as a result. She has won his trust and ensures his needs are met while I am away. In addition, we have an 18 year old cat that Tammy attends to, provides daily medication etc. Tammy has contacted me with valid information to assist me in making timely and informed decisions while I am away. She has assisted in proper notification in identifying a gas leak at the house as well turning off water with a leaking dishwasher.
