Auto Body Repair reviews in Columbia

They were on time. The car was finished when they said it would be. They are very courteous. They were helpful as far as getting the rental car through the insurance company. They worked with the insurance company, too. There were no overcharges. The color matched up. I got a little too close to dump truck that was leaking stones all over the interstate, and it chipped the paint and windshield. The insurance company gave me names of places to go. I went to Dutch Valley because it was reasonably close. They gave me an estimate. The only problem was that it took a couple of days for them to bring it in, but they were fairly busy. The one thing I didn't like was that there were some swirl marks left in it after they buffed it out, but I didn't really push it that much either. From a little distance it looks fine. They had to remove all the paint. There was no banging body parts out or anything like that. They had to do a windshield as well. The windshield doesn't leak, which is pretty good. I would not use this provider again.

Barton's was highly recommended. The shop is clean and neat and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The finished car looks great.
I don't know body work prices, but it seemed expensive to me, so I was disappointed that there were some details they overlooked. These are not preexisting conditions. The tail light was not properly sealed, so the trunk filled up with water. Door hardware was left loose. Non-matching screws were used in the interior (I found some of the originals on the floor and put them back.). There were speckles of some white stuff all over the outside of the car. It only took me a couple of hours to put this right, but considering what I paid, I did not expect to have to fix careless mistakes.
