    Scott Furman Group at RE/MAX CLASSIC
    Scott knows the market in my area, and was able to tell me very specifically what I needed to do to my home in order to get it ready for sale. He provided me with a stager, an inspector, an electrician, and a painter, all of whom were great contractors. Due to family circumstances, I asked Scott to list the house at a price that would assure a quick sale yet yield a decent return for me.  We carefully determined the correct price, listed on Tuesday, got an offer on Wednesday, and I signed the contract that Friday. The sale was for the list price.
    I can't recommend Scott Furman and everyone at ReMax Classic enough.

    REMAX Classic - Brett Furman
    Before we called in any agents to interview we got our own home appraisal so we would know which agents were just throwing out big unrealistic numbers in order to get our listing. We then interviewed 4 agents, all of whom we knew from watching the local market did a lot of business in our area. We choose Brett for a couple of reasons. He lists AND sells a lot of homes in our area, he is extremely professional, and he was realistic in telling us what he thought he would list the property at. He came to the "interview" prepared with comps in the area to back up his suggested selling price. He asked to see the entire house before he told us what price he would suggest. He also had some excellent suggestions for us to help sell the property. Further, he has some flexibility with his commission rate since he and his brother own the ReMax agency. Once we selected him he came in and took literally a hundred or more professional photos of the house and yard. He provided us with a draft of his proposed MLS listing and was open to our edits and photo suggestions. He then worked tirelessly to promote the house from direct mailers to a brokers' open house. When we got an offer (in 50 days from listing when the average in our area was over 70 days) he was helpful in negotiating with the buyers' agent. In the end we received 99.7% of our asking price (which was substantially above the appraisal value we got). All in all Brett was great to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. I recommend Brett highly.

    Very rude and unprofessional and entitiled. In addition, he asked for a large extra fee at the conclusion of the transaction that was 3X as big as the person we ended up going with. Needless to say, he was not selected as the real estate agent.

    REMAX Classic - Brett Furman
    We decided to interview several realtors. Brett impressed us in his first visit, because the knowledge of the area, precise insight about the market situation and almost mathematical calculation of real estate details. Nevertheless we decide to choose the realtor that offered us the largest asking price and the lowest commission. This was a big mistake that we regretted  in the following weeks. We realize that an asking price is not based on wishes and desires but in market reality. After several painful weeks we released the initial agent and anxiously called Brett. 
    Brett?s style was completely different. He had a formal market assessment to show us, and actively provided several recommendations to make the house more appealing. He produced beautiful pictures and an awesome video of the house. As we had left the house to move out of state, he kept a close eye on the property and called immediately to report any issue that should be taken care of. He provided constant reassurance and feedback on all the visitors. As people remained concerned about flooding issues, Brett went out of his way to help a buyer get the additional extra loan he required to buy the house. The buyer had always dreamt to have a stream in his backyard and he and his family were really happy to buy this property.
    Following the closing Brett was still available for us, recommending us to cancel insurances and asking us to forward him bills that should be in care of the new owner
    We were extremely happy with the hard work Brett performed. In summary he is an excellent realtor, with solid knowledge of the area, outstanding work ethics and superb communication skills.

    Keller Williams divides their responsbilities between buyers' agents and sellers' agent in order to avoid conflicts of interest.  This also means that the sellers' agents don't show a house to prospective buyers but rather promote the house to other agents who will sell it. 
    My buyer's agent was Lauren Dickerman, and my seller's agent was Joyce Atallah.  Both were excellent.  Lauren is particularly good at identifying what a buyer is looking for and carefully steering them toward a suitable purchase.  Joyce was very good at managing my expectations, identifying the best points of my house, and alerting other agents to its desirability.
    High marks to them individually and to the Cindy Dickerman Team of which they are members.

    I just moved to the area but because of an issue in the apartment I moved in to, I have to move again.  I initially contacted a member of the Jeff Silva team regarding purchasing a property.  After some thought, I decided to put off purchasing in this area for a little longer. 
    I was referred to a member of the team that works with rental properties in the area.  Kristin has spent ... I think it's been two or three months helping me find a town home.  I have lost count of the number of houses we've looked at or discussed.  Kristin has spent A LOT of time going through listings, making phone calls, and of course the time walking through all of these houses and properties with me.  I really appreciate her time and efforts to help me find a home.
    I've definitely had a great experience, and I'll be contacting Kristin and/or a member of her team for any real estate needs in the future.

    We were so impressed with their knowledge of the real estate market, their ability to market our home for sale and their patience and tenacity in finding us a new home.  They were very honest about how our house was going to sell in the current market, and after two other agents were not able to even get us a second showing on our home, they had our house under contract in under 30 days.  Our experience trying to find a new home to buy was much more challenging than selling our former house was, and they very professionally navigated us through the process, providing support, feedback and experienced insight during the roller coaster ride that is buying a home.  I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

    At first I was very impressed with this company. They seemed to be very thorough and knowledgeable however two months after we purchased the house, it came to our attention that some items were overlooked on the report. One main item was wood rot on the roof rafters from a previous roof leak in plain site. The roof also had a small rot hole that was previously patched and also visible. The inspector did go into the attic space and perform the inspection in that area. Had we known about the roof damages, it could have saved us a lot of money in repairs. When I contacted the company regarding the oversight, they were unprofessional and claimed that insulation blocked their view. The location of the insulation was on the floor of the attic area and the rotten wood was approximately 3 feet higher than the insulation. Response to Mr. Hunts comments: My response is simple. HomeCheck was responsible to report that there was previous water damage and rotten wood in the attic area. Plain and simple. It was obvious damage and should have been reported. Whether or not the seller was going to repair it is irrelevant. The seller did replace the water heater and installed the radon mitigation system so it appears that he was not completely unwilling to compromise on issues identified in various inspections. It ultimately is me and my husband?s decision as to what we would decide to replace on our own and what we would want to review with the seller. That is why homeowners purchase a Home Inspection?so that they can make an educated decision on a major investment. Whether or not the seller is willing to fix anything should not affect the quality of the Home Inspection. There were several issues that I felt that should have been identified by Mr. Hunt. First was the previous roof leak, rotten wood rafters (I apologize if I use the wrong terminology) in the roof, mold, clogged gutters, etc. I originally was not aware that Home Inspectors are not required to report mold so that is why I did not include that issue in my complaint to Angie's List. If he is not responsible for reporting the mold then I will not hold him responsible for that. So his comments regarding mold, removing drywall, my daughter?s health reaction to the mold and the cleanliness of the house are all mute at this point since I am not even stating that he was responsible to report the mold. I never complained to him regarding water in the basement and that is not even related to water damage in the attic. He is responsible to report previous water damage and rotten wood in the roof area. I can obtain reports from several roofing companiesindicating that the damage has been there for a very long time and that there were several areas that were merely ?patched? when the roof was replaced. The roofing material was not completely replaced as there are aluminum patches on the plywood in the roof where there are holes from rotten wood. To address Mr. Hunt?s accusation of the mold remediation contractor being a ?friend? of the contractor, the insulation contractor did recommend him however, I as an educated consumer hired Environix, a well known and respected mold remediation company to clean up the mold. To summarize, I purposely did not mention the mold or any other issue in my complaint so as not to accuse Mr Hunt and Homecheck of anything other than what he under law is obligated to report which is the previous water damage and wood damage from that water damage in the roof area. This complaint is about the roof and only the roof.. not mold, not gutters, not animal dander, not water in the basement. As a previous homeowner, I fully understand that a home comes with its share of repairs, etc but we trusted Mr. Hunt to do his job and report on obvious issues such as water damage in the roof area and in our case, this issue was overlooked. To date we have spent $2600 to repair the roof .
