    DIO Construction
This was our first big home improvement project that required us to hire contractors, and we were nervous about the process, but Pat instantly put us at ease. Compared to the other contractors we had interviewed, we were immediately impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. He returned our initial call quickly, and patiently answered all of our many questions. From the get go, Pat was a pleasure to work with! He listened carefully to the scope of our project and offered his best professional advice. We worked off of his initial estimate, making several adjustments to bring the project within our budget without sacrificing the scope of what we wanted to accomplish. He was so flexible throughout that process! We were especially appreciative that DIO does not require a deposit. It made us feel confident that not only would DIO make our project a priority, but that they would do their best work. And they did! Once work was schedule to begin, Pat and his crew completed the project in just five days. They did their best to minimize damage to our lawn and landscaping from the heavy equipment, and they were careful to keep the work area as clean and free of debris as possible. They were respectful of my neighbors properties, too. The new driveway and brick walkway look great, but more importantly, the regrading and the new drainage pipe have greatly reduced the water issues we were having in the basement. We are thrilled!

    Martin's Tree Service
Everything went better than expected. Martin's had all of the right equipment for remove the very tall trees. They have the skills to do this without damaging the house, which was with a few feet of the trees. Brian Martin, along with his son and daughter did the work and they in sync through out the job; they've obviously been working together for some time. I was impressed with how well equipped they were, their knowledge of the trade, and how well they took care of cleaning up. I felt like they treated my property as if it were their own. In addition to what you usually see tree services using, they have a 100' crane and an 85' crane / bucket lift (blue in the photos). Refer to the before and after photos. To get an idea of the size of the trees compare them to the size of the people in the other photos. I highly recommend Martin's Tree Service.

    Grace Tree Company, LLC
Robb showed up the same day, removed the tree remains, and our driveway is so clean you could eat off of it. There's no sign there was ever a tree there from the sidewalk, much less than it had been laying across the driveway and blocking the sidewalk this morning. We've used Robb in the past to prune and shape a tree at our previous house, and highly recommend him.

Barlow & Son Tree & Landscape Service
The project seemed to start off well. Then.. While cutting down one tree a huge branch hit the side of my house very hard and caused damage on both the inside and outside of the house. The whole house shook, it made a hole in my new vinyl siding, and it damaged the sheet rock on the other side of the wall. I withheld $1000 from the final payment and promised to pay the balance when the damage was repaired. Dale Barlow promised to have it done in a week - it wasn't. The cost to repaint the room is around $1000 but I took Dale's word that it would be repaired. After numerous calls back and forth over several months, Dale sent David Yarnall out to do the repairs. David and company were late or didn't show up numerous times. David's employee removed a broken piece of siding from one spot and put it on another spot even though there was an adequate amount of material available. The broken sheet rock was replaced and taped. However, it was not painted or primed this left me with a 4 four section of unpainted sheet rock in my living room. I attempted to get Dale Barlow to finish the job. at first he said he would and then he subsequently refused and became nasty in the process. Also, he refused to provide information about the liability insurance that he claimed to have. Tree trunks were dragged across my lawn to get them into the chipper. When asked if this would wreck my lawn, Dale to me that it would all grow back. The sod was destroyed in most of my back yard and weeds grew back. For stump removal all the soil and chips were dumped in my yard. I was told that removing the soil and chips are not part of stump removal. Hiring Barlow & Son Tree & Landscape Service turned out to be a nightmare!!!

    DIAMOND LAWN & LANDSCAPING, INC.
If I had rated these services right after the work was done , I would have given them a solid B+. The workmanship seemed very nice but clean up was a bit spotty. But this spring one of the walkways they paved started to cave in, so I called to see how to repair the problem. The contractor, after several calls, finally showed up to look at the problem, but that was all that ever happened. With repeated calls unanswered and the walkway still in a state of disrepair, I cannot recommend this contractor.

    Cambridge Landscapes
First let me start by saying the receptionist is rude and unprofessional. I called to inquire about getting an estimate for work at my home. On their website it says they offer free estimates however she told me it was a $75 fee for an estimate. I asked why does it say something different on your website and her reply very nastily was "I don't know". I asked her to let me speak to someone who did know. She asked me to hold on and then hung up on me. I immediately called back and the phone was picked up and hung up. I called back again and was sent to voicemail. After waiting five minutes I called back again and she answered. I asked this lady why would you hang up on me. Her reply was it was a mistake. I seriously doubt this was the case being as though when I called right back she hung up again. She finally put me through to someone and when I inquired about the free estimate he advised it was free "but" followed by some ridiculous explanation. First let me say I would never do business with a company that practices false advertisement. Secondly, good customer service is a MUST if you want to acquire someone's business and this company clearly is lacking in that area. Finally, weeks later I get a call from them the same girl that so rudely hung up on me to say "we don't service your area" but clearly advertised the serve Montgomery County. Not sure why and how I got a call, however AGAIN another example of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Clearly this company knows nothing about integrity, honesty, and customer service. I would never hire any business like this to perform services for me. Clearly unprofessional.

    Giroud Tree & Lawn Care
The work crew showed up on time and they were very efficient and professional.  The work took two full days.  Both trees were very close to the house and my neighbors property.  They took extreme care not cause damage to any of the structures or shrubs near the trees. I was very pleased with the work and would definely use them again for tree work.

Ken's Lawn & Property Service Inc
I had to get back in touch with Angie's List to get a refund since Ken did service my area. The people from Angie's List took care of this on my next billing. My suggestion to Angie's List was that a person should be able to enter their zip code before purchasing a coupon to make sure the provider will service your area.

    POISON IVY HORTICULTURIST
He did a wonderful job. It took awhile. This was more poison ivy than I could handle. He removed at least 7 bags of roots/ runners and vines. He took these bags away for disposal. He applied a herbicide to a large root that couldn't be dug up. He checked with me before going ahead with the herbicide. He was very careful to not get the poison ivy oil on anything. I recommend him highly.
