The whole day went great. Domenic and his crew showed up early and were super clean and polite during the whole process. The work they did on my kitchen counter top was way above my expectations. I would highly recommend him for any home repair needs that you might have.

dRemodeling did a great job and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality job. We have an old house that required an updated look that still fit with the historic vibe. Allison offered up terrific designs and the entire team was responsive along the way. The various people who came to handle different parts of the job were all friendly, respectful and clean. More importantly, the work was done beautifully and we are thrilled with the final project.

    Bath Fitter
Perfectly. In addition, the installer ran into an unexpected problem with the existing drain. Although it took an extra two hours labor and required materials for a new trap and connectors, we were charged nothing extra. (That's what their contract promises, and that's what they did. I didn't even know about the extra plumbing work until the inspection at the end of the job.) The work is excellent. The installer was 100% professional, right on time, and obviously highly experienced. In my opinion, Bath Fitter's high price is justified. You get what you pay for, and I'm confident I'll never have a problem with the work.

Old bathroom was taken down, and hauled off immediately. The bathroom was refitted with appropriate materials including repairs to old wood and insulation in a blind wall to the side of the shower area. We picked tiles from a local company and they were purchased by workers and installed. They did a fine job of tiling and grouting the shower area. All the plumbing and installation of fixtures were done completely. While our workers were later to report on the job than most, they stayed longer in the day than most. This job was done between a snow storm, then an ice storm, and stayed on schedule.

Powder Room: Very, very small - only 43? square.  I had no idea that something so fabulous could be done in such a tiny space.  Ken?s ideas were terrific.  We are novices at remodeling and depended on Ken for ideas.  He was absolutely amazing.  In addition to all of his other talents, he is a designer, and he can look at a cramped, outdated space and transform it into a modern and beautiful room.
    •           Completely gutted powder room - removed floor and wall tile, sink, toilet, light fixture and fan.
    •           Suggested pattern for floor tile and installed the tile.
    •           Installed wainscoting half way up all of the walls
    •           Redid the outdated plumbing and electrical
    •           Original fan did not vent to the outside and Ken installed the new, quiet fan so that it did vent outside
    •           Installed light fixture, outlet (had not had one before), toilet, sink and faucet, mirror, vanity, wall shelf, tub and shower
    •           Painted walls and ceiling and crafted woodwork around the door and a ledge above the wainscoting
    •          The mirror I?d bought was too big and did not fit.  Ken is very creative.  He modified the wooden mirror frame in such a way that it looked beautiful and fit perfectly, and you could not tell that it didn?t look that way originally!
    Full Bathroom
    • Completely gutted bathroom ? removed extensive floor and wall tile, sink, toilet, light fixture and bathtub
    • Ken identified that a previous toilet leak was rotting the floor.
    • Repaired the floor joists and leveled out the floor that was out of level by a whole inch.  He laid a very level and sturdy floor
    • Installed insulation and sound proofing
    • Installed ceiling fan and vented it to the outside ? there was no fan before the remodel
    • Installed light fixture, ceiling light, outlet  (had not had one before), toilet, sink and faucet, recessed medicine cabinet, wall shelf, vanity, and granite vanity top and rear and side backsplashes
    • Painted walls and ceiling
    • Moved the placement of the air conditioning/heat register to accommodate sizing of new fixtures
    • Tiled three tub walls, including glass accent tile (please see comment about this)
Ken and his team were a pleasure to work with.  They were punctual and very considerate, taking care to be sure our two cats were safe during the remodel.  I was startled at how clean they kept the work area!  When I came home from work each day, the only way I could tell that there was a remodel going on was to check the bathrooms to see what was new ? not a single particle of dust anywhere!  I don?t know how he managed this but was very grateful that he did.  By the end of each day he had removed all of the old fixtures and tile from the house and taken them away.  He and his team worked very fast and the job was done in the exact timeframe he had estimated.    We trusted Ken completely, giving him a house key that he could use to come and go as needed, and our trust was well-placed.  We will definitely hire Ken again to remodel a third bathroom and do some other work.  I?m so glad we found him, and happy to have been able to research Ken and others on Angie?s List.

    Reliable Plumbing & Drain
Great experience, I'm so happy with my new bathroom. A dream that I really never thought would ever happen. In 38 years I have had many plumbers and they have been mean, some didn't talk and one even told me my bathroom was illegal, I thought that was the way everyone worked, then I was told about this wonderful group. I have no complaints it took the time I thought it would and it is a beautiful finish. I will reccomend Reliable to anyone and everyone! We will be calling them back to do more work in our house. i am proud to call them our plumbers.

John and partner were very nice. First day they were supposed to arrive at 9:00 Did not show until 12:30 but did not call to let me know they were coming late. I had to call him to find out if they were still coming. Also. when they started the job I had to supply them with blankets to cover floor They were unprepared. I also had to go buy plastic to cover everything up becase they had no supplies. They asked me for trash bags, light bulbs, blankets for floor, brooms. I felt they were not prepared to do job. He asked me what to do with material they removed. I had to make phone calls for them and had to pay him extra to haul away material. Very unprepared. They did clean up somewhat but I had to clean up everyday after they left with my shop n vac. They did not show up for two days and did not let me know. I had to call to make sure they were coming back to finish job. Spackling job is poor quality and he left a sanding block and told me to sand it. They did come back and sanded after I reminded them that it was in our written contract. Had opening made to install cabinet and I had to tell them to install cabinet to see if it fits. Sometimes I felt like I was the contractor telling them what to do. They did not cover anything up. What a mess!!!! Very disappointed in spackling job. I had to remind him he was the contractor and If I knew how to do the job I probably would have done it myself.

    Ken Chandler Custom Carpentry
Excellent! Ken came up with a solution to our problem of replacing at a reasonable cost the countertop in our kitchen. He performed the work on time and checked back several times to make sure that we were completely satisfied. He understood our tight time frame for the job and worked with us to make sure the work was completed on time. I would highly recommend his company for anyone who wants quality work done at an affordable price.

The project started out very well. I worked with Kelly who is a designer with the company. We were moving forward on the project despite some setbacks with having to purchase a new car and a family emergency. When I called to resume the project and finish the kitchen, I was told that Kelly would be on a medical leave for a short time and she would be returning to work. Soon after that Iearned that Kelly was left go by Horace Miller, the company owner. Despite my inquiries to Mr. Miller, he insisted that she still worked there and she would be returning very soon. In the meantime, the plans for my project are not complete and the terms of my contract have not been met. When I call to speak to Kelly to resume planning for for the project, Mr. Miller puts me in her voice mail and she does not return my calls. I believe that Mr. Miller is lying about Kelly's employment status and it is very disturbing that he would pretend that she is employed there when I know for a fact that she has been layed off. I believe that Mr. Miller is trying to defraud me and other customers so he does not have to return our down payment or complete the terms of the contract.
