    Basement Waterproofing Specialists
I will say that I was a bit anxious going into this. I had met with another basement waterproofing company before and felt that they were really fishy and pushy (but that's a story for another review). So I was worried that these people would all be a bit dishonest and trying to screw you over. I'm a single woman that many may feel could be a potentially easy target for scams. Not these guys. The salesman was courteous, on time, and knowledgeable. He didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need, and calculated the cost on a piece of paper in front of me so we could discuss as we went along. He applied a number of discounts and offered me an affordable payment option (half of the price when done with the work, and the remainder split up into six payments (post dated checks), at 0% interest). I had to reschedule the work once due to a snow storm and they were really flexible with my schedule. The workers were punctual and courteous. They put down a drop cloth and also cleaned every night after they were done (3 day project). The foreman was there every night when I came home from work to show me what they had done and on the last day, he explained the technical features of the sump pumps and the backup battery to me, again, without condescension because he was talking to the woman of the house. This is a sore point for me as I have encountered this many, many times from car mechanics to contractors of all kinds. The work they performed was: - Digging out a trench around the perimeter of my basement and installing a french drain piping system - Jackhammering out the floor of an entire room (floor was cracked and lifted up from water pressure from underneath, and pouring a new cement floor - Installing a window well to drain water otherwise entering through a window - Mold treatment of all the walls and beams - Removing an abandoned oil tank (which was a huge perk for me) - Installing two new sump pumps, one of which with a DC back up battery Overall, I was impressed with their professionalism, punctuality, and customer service. Oh, and the basement has been dry since. There have been rains and big snow thaws and I've heard water trickling in the french drain and heard the pumps coming on. But no more water in my basement. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat and would hire them again!

Provider was on time, explained everything to me in layman's term, the time it would take to complete the work and inspection of completed work.  I like what heard but the price was out of my budget.

    Keystone Specialty Construction LLC
First off the contractor showed up wit an inexperienced crew who didnnt seem to know anything about concrete work, I expressed my concern to (Tom) who stated that I need not worry because he only uses those gys for demolition and labor and that profesional concrete finishers would come and complete the job. In hindsight I should have known how it would have turned out because I caught one of the workers urinating in my back yard. After the so called profesional finishers finished the job I was amazed at how horrible the job looked. The back patio was not level and crooked, the post that hold up my front porch roof were not set straight and crooked, the side walk and driveway apron was not straight, or level with deep indentations like foot prints in the concrete. When (Ken StClair ) saw the job he was visibly upset and told me that everything would be corrected that was the last time I saw him. He would not return my repeated phone calls or text messages. About 3 days later (Tom) came to my house to collect the balance of the money owed. I informed him of my concerns and that I was going to take legal action in court. He said he would fix the problems and that Ken was no longer in the picture. He assured me that he would bring a better crew in a completely redo the job because he said he didnt like how it came out. He asked me to trust him again and I did. The second job looked as bad as the first, they left the wooden frame around my front sidewalk  and storm drain, they left huge holes in the asphalt portion of my driveway, the cement sidewalk blocks are uneven and cracked in half, The driveway apron has deep indentations, and looks like its coming apart. It looks like they used some kind of cheap concrete. I have called several timesa leaving several messages but no one returns my calls. The last thing that Tom told me was that he ran into problems finishing the driveway and that he would return to fix or replace it. That was in May. I have not heard from him or the company since and of course they recieved payment for the job because I trusted him at his word.

    Shuttle Construction LLC
We had an outstanding experience with Shuttle Construction on this project.  Rob Shuttle did all the work including removing the old  patio and roof and disposing of the materials, digging the footers, pouring the concrete, building the decks, railings, and screened porch, and replacing windows and doors.  The final product was perfect; it turned out better than we had ever imagined.  We cannot seem to spend enough time on the porch.  Everyday we marvel at what a fantastic job was done on the construction.  It is perfect.
This was a big project for us that started in the spring and due to all the bad weather ran through part of the summer.  Rob and his assistant, Pat, worked around the weather and made sure to stay in touch and updated the timelines.  They were a pleasure to be around, hardworking, polite and courteous, and the worksite was clean and organized at all times.  We had absolutely no problems before, during, or after completion of the project.  Our township has very strict building codes and Rob met all of their specifications, exceeded their expectations, and had no problems getting permits or passing inspections.

Rob is the real deal, a great builder and contractor.  His work is impeccable.   His estimates were always on target, there were no surprises.  The job came in right on budget.  Rob gave us exactly what we asked for and more.  He does not take shortcuts and follows-through on all his promises.  He made great suggestions before we finalized the plans and came up with cost saving solutions before we began the project and during the construction.
Earlier in the year we had replaced the kitchen counter tops with granite that we knew would not match the existing tile medallions in the backsplash.  We thought we would have to replace the entire backsplash.  Instead, Rob chipped out the medallions and replaced them with new tiles in a more neutral color.  The new tiles look as though they have always been there.  A beautiful job, plus there was no mess to clean up afterwards.  The kitchen looked just like we left it.
My husband and I would highly recommend Rob Shuttle and his company, Shuttle Construction.   We plan to use him again in the near future.

    Enrico Gatta
There was one serious problem with an otherwise skilled, experienced and pleasant fellow.  He started a brick pointing job on a day when weather reports indicated a strong chance of thunderstorms.  A sudden storm in the middle of his work caused the cement to run all over the brick.  Although after the storm passed there was time in the afternoon for him to come back to clean up the mess, he did not return until the next day when the concrete had hardened.  He got some of it off with a hand tool and attemped to hide the concrete that he could not remove by making the brick wet, causing the concrete to become less aparent.  At my request he did some more, without much improvement.  To make it look decent, I eventually had to do a tedious job of grinding off remaining concrete using a drill and a grinding attachment.

Had this problem not occurred, I would rate the quality of his work as moderately good, that is, "B" quality.

If you're moving in Warminster Township, you WILL get jacked by the township for some new concrete. Our sidewalk blocks were in perfect condition but maybe 1/4" off plumb, and we were required to not just have them lifted, but actually rip them out and remove them. AND you must use a contractor licensed in the township. Ridiculous! But anyway, if you're in the same bind, don't even bother calling anyone else. Pat did a beautiful job on this project, for half the cost of some of the other estimates. And he was extremely prompt and lived up to all his promises. We used him once previously and had a very similar experience.
