    I had to wait weeks to get an appointment.   When I went in they said I couldn't use my insurance because they had been unable to log in that day.  I had a copy from my profile on the insurance website verifying that I had insurance and what was covered.  They said hat was not sufficient.  I proceeded to log in on my phone to let them see that I had insurance and that my login information was valid.  They said they were sorry but they needed to login on their computer and were not able to do that at that time.  Needless to say, I left.  They were not happy.  Neither was I. I had wasted over two weeks for the appointment and now could not be seen.  I then called Walmart and was accommodated with a friendly and professional staff.  I have gotten all my glasses from Walmart for the almost 8 years we have been in Chambersburg.

    However, I will NEVER go to the Drop-In Clinic again.  The doctor I saw there about three years ago was not only terrible, he scared me by jumping to the conclusion that my complaint was probably cancer-related.

    The procedure went well.  The nurses were very friendly, caring and understanding; explained the pre- and post-operative steps.  The doctor was also very friendly, caring and understanding while explaining the results of the procedure which were positive.

    Great staff, lots of doctors and technicians, you are bound to find somebody to your liking.
    I started going there by myself, now my wife goes and soon my child.

    Visit went very well. Receptionist was efficient and pleasant. Doctor was professional, gentle, and quite open to questions and personal concerns. He (David Shawn Bryant, MD) made suggestions, gave options, was very helpful. I would highly recommend him as a general surgeon. Bilateral hernia repair was completed on April 10th. Full recovery within 30 days. Good bedside manner and interaction with family members.

    Dr was condescending. Never on time. Never called back no matter how many times you try to reach him. Staff was rude. He let medication run out and never called in refills nor updated his records. This is someone who does not care for his patients.

    My primary care physician referred me for severe pain in my left ankle and heel. Dr. Rosenthal diagnosed this as Achilles tendonitis. She was very straightforward about the options for treatment and their likelihood of solving the problem. She felt it was likely that I would need surgery but wanted to start with the more conservative treatment first because the surgery is difficult and frequently has complications of its own. She prescribed an anti-inflammatory medication. I had a bad reaction to it, but the second one she prescribed helped a little. She then prescribed adding custom orthotics and physical therapy. It took awhile for that to begin helping, but by March (after about 4 months), the pain finally receded to a tolerable point. Since then, I have lost weight and continue to do the exercises I was taught at PT, and the pain is nearly gone. Dr. Rosenthal did warn me that this condition is likely to come back and that I would likely need surgery in the future. I liked her thoroughness and honesty and the fact that she was willing to take a conservative approach.

    the office is very large a lot of staff and could be overwelming to someone older ( which is most of the clientel)
    I have a great deal of experience meeting with professional people. My first impression of Dr. Caruso , he is conversational and tries to find a common ground with the patient . ( which I believe is essential for Surgeon patient relationship)
    his staff is knowledgeable and for the most part courteous. However they do not give the patient an extention # to reach them, so all the time the patient needs to wait for reception and rehash the reason for call many times. very frustrating.
    Chambersburg PA Office. a lot smaller. staff on top of each other. The PA in this office is wonderful Karen Hensfield , actually came to my home to give me a check up after surgery,
    the nurses are knowledgeable and friendly.
    they have 3 offices one also in Frederick Md.
    All the offices use a computer portal to communicate with patients. info is triplacated and very confusing to use and to get a reply from. this really is my only complaint .
    Dr. Caruso geniunely cares for his patients. and lets face it what you get out of a visit is also what you put into it.

    I have been going to Keystone for about 15 years.  It all depends on which physician you see; some are better than others.  I see Dr. Owens. and I have been pretty happy with him overall.  He stays on top of things and takes the time to answer questions and explain treatment.  If I had to say anything negative, it would be that he's a little too ready to write a prescription for every ailment; but if you make it clear to him that you'd rather try an alternative, he will work with you.
    On their Walk-In Clinic: I went once and will never go there again.  The doctor I saw was totally incompetent.  Not only did he not help my condition, he scared the bejesus out of me.

    I have been seeing Dr. Owens for several years and saw Dr. Madeiras at Keystone for years before that. He has gotten better over time--he takes more time to actually listen to me now, seems less rushed and more willing to talk things over. He does have a slight tendency to want to put you on a new drug for whatever complaint you come in with, but patients need to ask questions and be responsible for their own health care, too. Ask about alternatives and side effects and why a drug may be necessary.

    Staff is friendly and efficient. I have never had to wait too long unless the doctor has been called on an emergency.

    I had a REALLY bad experience at their walk-in clinic, however, and I would NEVER go there again. I went there in an emergency (blood in my urine on a weekend). The doctor did a urinalysis that confirmed blood and decided I hadn't passed a kidney stone because I didn't have severe back pain. He sat there looking confused, then looked at my chart and concluded that it must be related to the uterine cancer I had two months earlier and sent me home with instructions to call the surgeon on Monday. I spent the entire weekend fearful that I had some kind of complication or that my cancer had spread when I had been told that the lymph nodes were all clear. Thankfully, my surgeon reassured me, and the problem resolved on its own accord. I felt that this doctor was just looking for an easy answer to get the visit over with, since he didn't have a clue what was wrong.
