Eye Care reviews in Chambersburg

I had to wait weeks to get an appointment.   When I went in they said I couldn't use my insurance because they had been unable to log in that day.  I had a copy from my profile on the insurance website verifying that I had insurance and what was covered.  They said hat was not sufficient.  I proceeded to log in on my phone to let them see that I had insurance and that my login information was valid.  They said they were sorry but they needed to login on their computer and were not able to do that at that time.  Needless to say, I left.  They were not happy.  Neither was I. I had wasted over two weeks for the appointment and now could not be seen.  I then called Walmart and was accommodated with a friendly and professional staff.  I have gotten all my glasses from Walmart for the almost 8 years we have been in Chambersburg.

When I arrived I was asked insurance update information. I did have to wait about 10-15 minutes beyond my appointment time. Drops were applied and I waited more as is customary until eyes were dilated. Saw Dr. for a thorough exam. Another trainee was also in the room and while Dr. explained condition to me he also explained equipment use and practices to trainee. I was advised as to what to report immediately if happened and then left for home.

While we are fairly new to Dr. Kiskaddon's practice, we are always impressed with how many people come in that have evidently had a long-term relationship with him and the office staff.  The waiting room becomes a social gathering place of sorts as the receptionist greets people and begins chatting with them, and eventually others are drawn into the conversation.  My husband's appointment requires several different visits to the examination room, so we are there for quite a long time and find ourselves involved in a variety of conversations.
The receptionist is efficient and accurate with the billing.  We haven't had any problems with insurance coverage.  Bills for the remaining amount are timely -- they don't arrive too soon, but they don't take so long that you begin to wonder if you will ever get a bill.
Medical records also appear to be well-maintained and up-to-date.
The office itself appears a little old but not worn, just dated, sort of the feel of Grandma's place rather than the cold contemporary style so prevalent today.

I will see her in two weeks on coming Tuesday. She is extremely friendly. I will give her entire practice an A overall. I would use her in the future.

They seem very serious and keep track of your eyes. They have all the up to date equipment to do what they need to. It does take a little time to get an appointment with them.

I would tell others that this is a great place to get a new pair of glasses and a checkup at the same time.
