    In addition to the new battery, a new sensor was recommended and installed. This caused the engine to hesitate and the engine completely died shortly after driving away. I explained my concern that a new problem had been introduced, but was ignored and treated harshly. They removed the new part and the engine ran better again but no apology. Will never go there again.

    I'm new to the area and did not know of a good mechanic yet, so I scheduled my state inspection with these guys figuring that an inspection should be pretty routine. Never had a single problem with my 5 yr old car, had been running perfectly.   

    They were able to schedule me right away. 

    Dropped the car off at 8 AM, picked it up at 1 PM. No problems noted during the inspection. 

    On the way home, my check engine light came on as did the slip indicator light, I had never seen these lights turn on during the 5 years that I owned the car. The engine now also sputters when starting. This could be a heck of a coincidence, but I really doubt it.

    Needless to say, I will not take my car back to these jokers even to fix whatever problems they caused during a routine state inspection. I now need to go to a the dealership and likely spend over $100 to see a real mechanic to determine what the heck these guys did to my car. 

    UPDATE: took my car to the dealership, apparently the check engine/slip indicator light came on because whomever did the inspection did not properly close the air filter compartment - so this little screwup cost me an additional 60 bucks to get the indicator lights read and the problem remedied.

    They are great. They have coffee, soda and couches in the restroom. It took almost 45 minutes to an hour to get the car done it was just and oil change. If it was longer they would call and inform me.

    They had my car for 4 days, without offeting me a rental. After I got my car back and drove around a couple of weeks I noticed they never fixed the rattling of the engine on ignition and the blue tooth. Furtermore the plastic in the front came loose and the vibrations and flopping from front at higher speed came back. I returned there to have it rechecked. They charged me for a diagnostic $20 (still, it is the principal). When I questioned the charge they told me that it was a similar issue but not the same. I took the car back for the exact same 3 reasons, not my fault they missed some issues. Furthermore, this leads me to believe I did not need new struts on the car. By the way, I am still dricing around with my engine rattling half the time when I start the car, listening to music from my left speaker with plastic flopping in my fron when I hit 30.

    My family has used Danny's Garage for repair and maintenance for years, for Nissans, Subarus and Volvos, and he is great. I can depend on him to give me a fair appraisal of what needs to be done, and whether it needs to be done. He and his wife Tammy try their best to work within our schedules and are always friendly and responsive. As a regular customer, I can just call and stop by and Danny will listen to a strange noise my car is making and give me a response on the spot - for no charge!

    We pulled up unannounced and asked some questions about the issues we were having with no sound coming from our tv/vcr unit in our conversion van. It is older but the TV and vcr were newer. They came out and attempted to troubleshoot on the spot and tested a few ideas before concluding that some tear apart would have to happen in order to resolve the issue. Offered to get our components upgraded to dvd and wireless headsets while we were at it and told us approximate cost and estimated labor time. Showed us some sample units in showroom and scheduled us for the following tuesday. We are very pleased with the service and availability and fair pricing and also proud to be supporting a local business!

    My son's took his VW to a chain service center for an estimate on having the coolant system flushed and refilled. He was quoted $125, which I felt was too expensive. Made an appointment with Alan Long and had the engine flushed and refilled, but at a fraction of the quoted cost. I have done business with Long's Garage in the past and you always get great personal service and the best price.

    I use this small neighborhood garage for a lot of my vehicle needs. This is a one-man operation now, used to be more employees, but they got old and have retired. The owner tries to help if you need quick emergency service, but expect a delay for scheduled services. The rating for quality is because he uses mainly Fisher Auto Parts for items and I believe better quality can be had with NAPA parts. I often recommend this shop to people asking for "an honest vehicle repair shop in our area"

    I've used MotivWerks for a few years now, close to when they opened.  They have beyond excellent customer service.  They are honest mechanics (which is hard to find).  I'm a price hunter, and no matter how hard I search, they always offer (without provocation) better deals than I can find online.  They have a quick turn around.  They make the effort to give you relevant updates, and include you in the process.  I've referred friends, family, and co-workers.  I would not do that if they were not as good as they are.
