    Six chairs and 3 bar stools were ordered October 6 and still nothing by December 20. The sales rep said very likely before the holidays when I placed the order. Listen to the fine print because it now appears unlikely they will meet the maximum delivery window in the 8-16 weeks range. The sales rep stopped returning messages when it became apparent that the furniture would not arrive before Christmas. I had to search online to find a corporate contact. I got a reply from the owner at that point saying no chance the furniture would arrive before Christmas.

    Matt began tuning my 1924 Steinway grand piano when my long time piano tuner was not available. I was extremely pleased with his work. In addition to tuning, he also repaired my squeaking pedal and a ���twanging��� string that I had believed to be not easily fixable. He has always been prompt to respond to any correspondence and very professional in all transactions. I highly recommend his services.

    Thanks to Dwight, this beauty lives on! Each cushion is now structurally sound, and even comfier than before. The worn and cracked parts are smoothed and reinforced. He matched the color well, and was clear about expectations on how well the texture could match the mottling of time. Plus, he delivered the finished cushions and made sure they fit correctly. Would definitely call again, the next time a furniture repair need arises. Will add a picture when time allows.

    We needed a new washer and after researching the internet I settled on a Whirlpool Cabrio. Lowes had the best price and the delivery and installation was perfect. The installer was careful and explained what he was doing. I ordered the matching dryer several months later on-line. The next morning (8 hrs later!) the warehouse called saying they could deliver it. This time one of the installers was a little sloppy, tracking in dirt, but thankfully no damage.

    JEAN WOLFE UPHOLSTERY
    I had two dining room chairs that I needed upholstered. I was originally quoted $90 per chair (ridiculously low) and told that I would be put on the waiting list which was 6 weeks long. I received a call within 4 weeks and they came to pick up the chairs and fabric. When Jean was ready to upholster them she called and explained to me that because the entire chair was upholstered it would be $125 per chair (still an amazingly low price). She also clarified what the project entailed as there was A LOT of extra fabrics (Calico Corners has HORRIBLE guides on yardage). The chairs were ready within a week and delivered. The total cost was close to $300 when tax and the delivery charge was added in. I am incredibly happy with the service, the price and the end result. My chairs are perfect and I will use Jean Wolfe Upholstery for any future upholstery that I need.

    The piano was last tuned - by Mr. Bowman! - 17 years ago. How time flies. I was happy to know that he was still in business. He came promptly and spent nearly 2 hours doing the job. He urged me to call him if any problems turned up. The bill seemed a bit high, but he does excellent work and, after all, the piano had gotten badly out of tune. I will call on him again and will not wait another 17 years.

    Had a 100 year old sideboard with lots of carvings that was falling apart and the finish was shot. The top had a crack across the whole thing and had lots of rings from drinks, etc. The lining of the silverware drawer was shredded and the separating boards were loose. The legs had missing brass covers on the bottom and the legs fell off when the sideboard was lifted. The finish had darkened and was dirty.

    Lindstrom's stopped by about 13 months prior to it's being finished and took it back to their shop. Later in the month I visited his shop and he explained all about the sideboard - year it was made, wood, etc. Then he went over what he would have to do. It was a long list. I told him I needed it in a year.

    When I got it back, I couldn't believe the difference. You would never guess that there was a crack across the top. He had made two extra brass fittings for the ones that were missing on the back legs. The finish was spectacular, no longer dark and the mahogony just glowed.

    He told me he hadn't charged enough for the work but stuck to his agreement.

    He forgot to bring the kep to the piece when he delivered it, but I know I will get it back at some point.
    The only critique was that the replaced lining of the silver drawer was pieced, not smooth and in felt, not velvet. It looked like they took felt they had and layered it.The craftsman is an artist with unique knowledge of antiques so I give him extra time to do the work. It was worth it.
