Auto Repair reviews in Camp Hill

Autocamp Tire & Auto Service Ctr
I once was a loyal customer. However, a series of mishandling repairs has given me pause. At one time, Vince did work for me but on three separate occasions,he stripped the threads, requiring repeated returns. At other times, he said he couldn't figure out what the problem was and left it right there. $600.00 in expenditures later, my son (who is not a mechanic, googled it and did the repair himself for $25.00. I went back, giving Auto Camp another chance, and attempted to make a recommended repair. After a commitment to call me back, and not hearing back, I guess my business is not good enough for them. I hate I have to write this but the customer service is suspect.

    BRENNER CHRYSLER JEEP
Absolutely terrible. Promised a finish time for general mechanical work and delay promise date three times. Have vehicle for over two weeks for A/C hose replacement, brake job and alignment check. Quality of responsiveness of maintenance staff was horrible. I finally got in contact with an employee named Josh who was responsive, but he was the only one out of six who replied.... I will never use their service again.

    L B SMITH FORD INC
For auto services I would say L B Smith Ford dealer, that is the only one we use and they are wonderful. It was covered so it didn't cost anything. They absolutely got me in pretty promptly for my appointment. I would grade them 'A' on everything. I will absolutely use this provider again in the future.

    THE TIRE MART
I had two low tread tires replaced today and had two tires replaced over a year ago.  Both my experiences went very well.  I like "walk-in" tire replacement places, but not Walmart or the big name places that you see everywhere.  Tire Mart is a local business, family owned, many years in the area, and I know what to expect when I go there.  Even though I don't live on the East side of the Susquehanna any longer, I will continue to visit Tire Mart for all my tire purchases.  Also, no hidden fees there and they offer a AAA discount!!

    Leach's Automotive Service
Dropped my car off to have the rear wheel bearings replaced and have an alignment done.  Also had the tires rotated for free.  Leach's is very reasonable with their fees and they were very helpful with explaining to me what all was involved with wheel bearing replacement.  I had no issues with them and plan to return in the future.  It's pretty obvious why they've been in business for so long.  I hope they continue to stay in business for many years to come!!

    Kreitzer's Automotive Service
Fast, professional and courteous service is the hallmark of excellent customer service and you will find all three at Kreitzer. My car battery did not hold a charge.  I "jump started" my car one morning and thought I had solved  the problem, however, the next morning the battery was again "dead."  What should I do ? - call the car dealership - search the Yellow Pages - call AAA .  No, lets try Angies List.
I had been pleased with the service from other Angies List recommendations, why not try auto service. Kreitzer was listed with an A rating and located near my home in Camp Hill.  I called them at 3:00pm - explained my situation and was told to bring the car in at 3:30pm - THAT'S SERVICE.  I "jump started" my car again and drove to Kreitzer. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Katie, who said, you are here about your car battery, I will test the battery and let you know what's going on. The  warm welcome from Katie and their dog (smile) demonstrated excellent COURTESY SERVICE. In LESS THAN 30 MINUTES  (1) my battery had been tested (2) Katie reviewed with me the test report. (battery needed to be replaced)  (3) told me what options I had on a replacement battery, (4) installed a new battery and (5) paid my bill - that 's what I call PROFESSIONAL SERVICE.  I probably could have gotten a cheaper battery at another location, however, I know the service, product and professionalism would not have been of the same high quality. Thanks Kreitzer for turning my "bad" day into a "good one."

    Kreitzer's Automotive Service
I loved getting the notification that it was time for my annual inspection!  I received up front estimates for all work, and the estimates were accurate.  The work was done as scheduled.  Communication was excellent.  Easy drop-off and pick-up.  Competitive pricing.  There is nothing not to like!

    EMORY TRANSMISSION
Called the shop and the owner answered. Explained my situation over the phone and was advised to bring the vehicle in the following Monday - it would be checked out at no cost. Dropped off the vehicle after hours and received a phone call from the owner later on Monday explaining that they had found the problem, could fix it the next day. Later the next day received a phone call that repairs were done. Picked up the car and it drives well. Not sure I could ask for more.
So the rest of the story - prior to taking it to Emory I had taken the car to the dealer. They quoted a new transmission replacement for a range of $3300 to $5500. Emory troubleshot the car and determined the transmission was fine - the front wheel bearings were the issue. $550 later we are good to go.

    Kreitzer's Automotive Service
I dropped my a car off and they gave me a loaner car to take to work while my car was being repaired. Within an hour, a automotive technician called and told me that it was the wheel bearing that needed to be replaced. She told me that there were different warranty options with the wheel bearing, which was nice to know. I picked up the car after the repair and the noise was gone and the car drives well. I appreciate the qualtiy service from Kreitzer's Automotive Service and will take my car there for future repairs.
