We are extremely happy with Sam's work. He transformed a "junk room" that had no heat, AC, plumbing, electric, into a half bath and pantry. He also remodeled our kitchen, installed appliances and laminate flooring. He was efficient and cost effective. We'll definitely use Sam for future projects.

Poorly. Two weeks later, sans estimate, I called, with no reply. Yet another week later, I called, and was told that since I had other contractors I was contacting, and due to the distance, and with the number of items that they didn't cover, and their workload, they had the opinion that they wouldn't pick up the work. This is a completely understandable position; however, professional courtesy would dictate that they would let me know in a reasonable amount of time. A simple email with two sentences would have sufficed... a number of other handyman contacts on Angie's List did exactly that, and received no negative review from me.

He was available and showed up within an hour! He finished the work within 90 minutes (I wasn't paying attention to the clock) and he did some caulking to help my house where the oven lived be more draft free. Dan is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and cleans up after himself. His fee is very reasonable. I'd do it all over again, if need be.

We ordered cabinets from Lowe's and the contractor that was remodeling our kitchen was supposed to install them.  Something happened and we had to find someone else to install the cabinets.  Lowe's would not help us because they said we had to have made those arrangements before ordering the cabinets and they wouldn't make an exception.  We called six
installers and everyone was booked for months.  A friend told me about  American Home Master: Chris Walker and Dave Graft out of Greensburg, PA.  I called them that same day (Saturday) and left a message.  Chris called me Monday and said they had a hole in their schedule and could fit me in.  They came the next day and they are spectacular!
They are so nice and friendly they are a delight to have in your home.  They are very meticulous and made sure to get everything as perfect as possible.  My father is a woodworker and I am used to a very high standard when it comes to
wood and furniture.  Chris and Dave lived up to that standard - they are both excellent craftsmen.
Since it was so fast I had to describe the job over the phone and I forgot some details but they made it work.  They also helped us avoid problems by openly communicating with us throughout the three day process.  For instance, based on the suggestion of the Lowe's designer we bought three individual pieces of trim to put together to make a crown molding.  Dave and Chris explained an alternate way to arrange the pieces and it looks even better than what I saw in the show room.
A significant number of my cabinets from Lowe's came with defects in the wood and/or stain.  Chris and Dave were very patient as I sorted through all those replacement boxes and did a great job of changing out replacement doors.  They also pay a lot of attention to details and don?t rush.  As a result, together we were able to arrange the cabinets in a way that hid the defects on the items Shenandoah didn't replace.
I also asked them to cut through the cabinet above the stove to accommodate a vented range hood. This was something else the contractor was supposed to do and I hadn't solved the problem as to how to get it done.  Even though they only had a small hole in their schedule they made time to do that job for me too and they charged us a very reasonable price to do it.
Dave and Chris also went above and beyond the work they were doing and helped me communicate information to the cabinet top people, which helped us avoid a couple of potential problems.
I can honestly say that I am now happy that things did not work out with our original contractor so that I ended up meeting these wonderful men.   My only regret is that I did not know about them when I began this project because I definitely would have had them do everything and would have avoided a lot of problems, aggravation, and cost.
I can say without hesitation that if you are planning  ANY sort of home remodel talk to Dave and Chris!

Update:  Chris and Dave ran out of time and were not able to install the sliding shelves in my kitchen Island cabinets.  They said it was easy to do.  I've tried several times and it is not easy for someone who doesn't do this professionally, the instructions were useless.  I called and left a voice mail asking Chris/Dave if they could tell me over the phone how to do this.  I never heard back from them.  My sister and I went to Lowe's where I bought the cabinets, crawled around in the display model until we figured out how the pieces go together and then went home and did it.  I'm disappointed they never called me back but I would still recommend them.

It went great!  Dave showed up on time (actually 5 minutes early).  He worked for 7 hours- very professional and clean.  He changed a few ways that he was going to do things to save me money.  I would definitely hire again.

A little hard to make initial contact with but we did eventually touch base. Good quality work at a fair price. All work done in a day. Phil put in new stone walls in my basement window wells that look great, hung a decorative vinyl fence in a difficult area that looks perfect and replaced an outside wood shed wall with better wood than the original and sealed in correctly. Looks great also. Owners a good guy with lots of experience and knows what he's doing, not like some of the other guys out there. I will use him again in the future. Would highly recommend him to anyone for any handyman services needed.

They did a good job. He didn't have a whole bunch of reviews but he was nearby and the reviews he got were good and that's why I used him. I just wanted to deal with somebody local. He did what I wanted done. They didn't make any mess. There was one thing that had to be done inside the house and they did say they wear booties but the guys took the shoes off without asking. They didn't leave any mess anywhere. I didn't have anything to compare to with their price but I think it was a fair price.

Polite, efficient, and clever!  When he realized that some bolts were missing to mount our TV, he was able to pirate some from somewhere else.  Got the job done without the need for a second trip.

Somebody recommended him to me. I called him and he did the work and he was excellent. He did a lot more than hauling. He gave me more information and I did use him quite a bit for the work that he did and it was really good. I thought he went over and beyond. He assisted me and he was a great organizer. He got rid of everything. I told him what I didn't want anymore and he got rid of things like cardboard boxes. I'm actually gonna have him come back and do for my basement what he did for my garage. I have to be around when he does it. He worked around me and my schedule which was good. I think I got more for the price than I actually thought I was getting. He was very meticulous. He did a great job. I called him that night and came out the next day to give me a quote. He knew what he was doing and talking about. I think he's very knowledgeable.
