    I called Dave Remmey based on other raving, positive reviews on Angie's List just hoping that they were all true. I can say after about 4 weeks of receiving all the checks from my insurance company, those reviews are completely accurate. My issue started when the shower pan in my master bath started leaking to the family room and basement. I called the plumber first thinking it was a minor plumbing issue. When he opened up the wall, it was beyond his scope because of mold and the severity of damage in the ceiling, wall and carpet. Knowing what I know about insurance companies and based on my previous claim experience, I quickly went on Angie's list hoping for an adjuster that sticks out above others. That's where I called Dave. I left him a msg since it was late in the day and he called me back first thing the next day. We set up the appointment and he came by the next day to assess the damage and outlined the next several steps. I knew after that I wanted to sign with him. When the insurance adjuster came to do his inspection, Dave came and made sure he didn't miss anything and added other things that the ins adjuster and I missed to make sure I get everything I need to restore my home to the way it was. Dave is honest, kind, fair, knowledgeable, easy to work with and easy to get in touch with. I've called him multiple times after his initial appointment and he has always been available to answer any questions. I have nothing negative to say about him. I really hope that I will never have to use him again (don't need any more insurance claims!) but if I do, I will have no hesitation to use him again.

    Farmers Insurance
    Farmers Insurance offered great rates, but the back office service as horrible. It was so much worst than our previous experience with Liberty Mutual. Edward Diamond was friendly as long as we were insured by Farmers. However, based on our experience with his company, we went back to Liberty Mutual. Mr. Diamond appeared to take this as a personal insult. His response and indeed the response of Farmers Insurance was, in essence, "you're now on your own." Farmers had great rates, but they did not support us. Edward Diamond did not help

    ALLSTATE INSURANCE CO

    For more than 3 months since the purchase of my latest car, I have not been able to finalize the specifics of my auto insurance policy.  I have chain emails from Marty, reflecting my efforts to have payment withdrawn the same day monthly for the amount Marty quoted me prior to purchasing the vehicle.  However, for three months, there continues to be problems.  Monthly, varied amounts are withdrawn (quite higher than quoted) and on varied days.  Each time Marty explains the problem away and assures me it is finally addressed, just to be met the next month with more hassle.

    When I originally asked Marty for a quote, he told me $133 monthly.  I asked him what the "catches" were and he seemed put off, stating that my rate was lower because of the enhanced safety features of the car, my driving record etc.  3 months in, my bill now reads $149 (last month it was $208).  He states this is because I haven't taken advantage of DriveWise.  This is something I haven't used before and am not familiar with.  I asked Marty why this condition was presented at the time of my quote.  He replied with irritation, that I had received documents from Allstate referencing this in-car device. 

    Yes, indeed, I did receive communications from Allstate 6 weeks after the quote, introducing DriveWise that would make me eligible for a discount.  Being that it was 6 wks after the fact, I was under the impression this was a discount on top of my $133 originally quoted, not dependent upon it. 

    I expressed to Marty in an email that I felt misled.  I asked for 'catches' up front and never did he mention DriveWise.  Now, after the fact, he doesn't take responsibility, instead blames me for not reading all the fine print.  Yes, that is true, the amount of contract work I receive from Allstate is quite extensive, and I admit, I rely on my agent to cut through the jargon and give me the bottom line.  I spent last week trading emails with Marty on these very factors and his responses were nothing short of antagonist and argumentative.  Complete lack of customer service, sales technique and professionalism.  He states them "But..."  and capitalizes letters as though in a childish argument.

    I currently have a complaint logged with the corporate offices and their response to this matter will determine if I only change agents, or carriers altogether.  If you are looking at Allstate, look for an alternate agent.

    Remmey Insurance Adjustment Company
    David submitted the claim and tenaciously followed it through the various stalling tactics of the insurer. Since the roof was not actually leaking, they didn't seem to have an urgency to resolve the claim. Had I been handling this claim myself I probably would have given up. The result with Dave was that the insurer settled by paying for an entire new roof more than I ever expected as the roof was 26 years old.

    Metro Public Adjustment Inc
    I phoned 3 times and was promised an agent would be assigned and would return my phone call to discuss a possible public adjuster event as a result of Hurricane Sandy damage.  I explained that I needed to talk to an adjuster prior to speaking to my insurance company field adjuster.  Metro main operator at customer service indicated to hold off speaking with the insurance company and agent would call to discuss my problem.  Again, Metro never returned my phone call and now I would never consider using Metro Public Adustment due to their poor customer service. 
    I read the ratings on Angies list of other Public Adjusters and their contacts and their discussions were successful
