    Unique Indoor Comfort
    When the technician, Pat King, came out and inspected the situation, he showed, and explained to me that I really did not have a problem. So even though they came out for basically no reason, they did not charge me a penny (I have a service contract). I sleep better now that I know I'm not breathing CO2, heating exhaust, but more importantly, that I have hired an honest contractor that I can trust. Pat King ---you "Rock"

    As senior citizens we feel like we were taken advantage of based on the following experience with Marshall Services. First, here is a little background information. Approximately 7-8 months ago I called Marshall Services to repair my heat pump. I was given six options for different levels of service, ranging from $281 to $1,429 that could be performed. I chose the most expensive option, $1,429, based on the opinion of the service technician that we would likely get at least two more years of life out of our system. Recently our system stopped working. While this was very unfortunate/bad luck, it's not the reason for my dissatisfaction. I mention this only to show that I was an existing, good customer. A couple of weeks ago when my system stopped working on a day when the temperature was in the teens I called Marshall Services to have someone look at it. They wouldn't give me an estimate of when a service technician would arrive but I had no reason to expect that it would not be that same day. Later in the day when the technician still had not arrived I called back to ask when they expected the technician to arrive. Here is where the issues begin. The woman I spoke with still would not give me an estimated time that the technician would arrive so my expectation was still that he would arrive that evening. However, the woman immediately tried to sell me their one year "Comfort Club" package/membership that included various discounts and coupons. I was very hesitant but finally caved in and agreed to pay $299 for the package. The service technician arrived around 7:30 pm and within minutes he was able to reset the system and put it in emergency backup mode. The system could run in this mode until I got it repaired or replaced. By the way, their charge for a regular service call is $69, which is what this should have been. The following day (less than 24 hours later) I had time to review the details of what the $299 package included and decided I didn't want it. I called Marshall Services and talked with a woman, Donna, who said it would not be a problem to cancel it. She was going to contact a fellow employee, Erin, who would credit the $299 to my credit card because it had already been charged. A few days went by and I didn't see the credit applied to my card so I called them back. I again spoke with Erin (who may be the owner's daughter) and she said I would not be credited the $299. We had an extended conversation but she still refused to apply the credit to my card even though the other person, Donna, a few days earlier said it would not be a problem. It���s interesting that at one point she said that all telephone calls were recorded. However, later in our conversation when I asked her to replay my original telephone call in which she sold me the package she told me it was not available. She also did not seem willing to listen to the recording of my conversation with Donna during which I was told that the $299 credit would not be a problem. As a side note, in a response to another complaint here on Angie's List the owner said ���We have a policy that every customer is to have complete satisfaction, which I personally guarantee���. Well, I am certainly not completely satisfied. In the end I just gave up. There are more important things in the world than losing $230 ($299 for the package minus $69 which is what I should have paid for the original service call = $230). We were disappointed and upset that an existing, good customer would be treated like this. God bless you.

    These guys are great. I found them on Angie list about 2 years ago. They have been incredible. We have two old (15 year) central AC and heating units at our home that we have them sevice every year. This time one of them was not working and we decided it was time to get new ones rather than repair the old ones. Munro told me what type of units I needed and went over the different types and energy ratings. We also had a room over a garage which never was cool enough in the summer nor hot enough in the winter. They recommended a ductless system. They did an excellent job of installation and the systems work perfectly. They spent the time to go over everything we me. They installed a new WIFI thermostat and explained how to use it. They have been great.

    In August 2016 they came to check my AC unit as it was not cooling. After checking the unit they said they could not find anything wrong and that it might be s small leak and that recharging it would most probably solve the matter. They put 2 pounds of R-22. When paying with a check the insisted me to show them my driver's license to give proof of who I was even though they were at my house. At the end, they charged $305.00. The following day the AC was not working...When I called them they said the AC unit needed to be replaced and the only way to get a refund was if I would buy the new unit + installation from them. They wanted to install a cheap brand at a non competitive price. I did several attempts to have them returning my money. They never followed up with me.

    We were without AC on the hottest stretch of summer. Called Steve and made an appt for him to check out our system and give an estimate. He arrived early and checked out why the system was not working and recommended a new motor. He and his assistant were clean, efficient and had the system up and running in a few hours. He also gave us good advice to check the system on our own to spot future problems.

    They came out on emergency on a Sunday and were very good about keeping us up to date as to when they were arriving and handled the problem quickly and efficiently. They were genuine and helped the problem on hand and didn't try to sell us on anything else.

We just bought our home and this is our first home. It has oil heat and a heat pump so we had a lot of questions regarding the furnace itself and all the things on it. He was very helpful and answered all our questions. He also took an extra time to look at other things that we asked him about outside of the scope of what the service was for. He was very responsive in answering all the questions we had and took a look at the things that we had questions outside the scope of him just looking at our furnace and our heat pump. This is our first time getting our furnace serviced.
