The desk assistants at Leighow Vet. Hospital have never seemed happy.  They do not smile when you walk in the office and it is difficult to get them to help you.  I expect the first people you see at the vet to be very friendly and helpful, Leighow Vet assistants are not.  Some of the veterinarians who work there are friendly, but so busy that they do not even ask you if you have questions and run out of the room before you have a chance to ask anything.  As a new dog owner, I had lots of questions.  They were less than helpful in answering them.  When I finally did get someone to sit still long enough for me to ask questions, they seemed annoyed.
I had my puppy fixed at Leighow.  The vet tech called me midday to ask me if my dog has had swollen eyes for days or if it had just occured this morning.  I told them that my dog did not have swollen eyes when I dropped her off.  The vet tech argued with me.  They asked if I wanted medicine to help her eyes and I asked them if they thought it was necessary.  The vet tech told me it was my decision, but without actually seeing my dog (we were still on the phone) and knowing exactly what was happening to her eyes, I had no idea if medicine was necessary.  I needed the vet tech to give me advice, or to ask the vet for advice.  The vet tech was less than helpful with this decision.  In the end, we decided to wait to see if the swelling went down on its own.  Later when I was allowed to go pick up my dog, the medicine to help the swelling was on my bill and the desk assistant told me I should take it because the vet had written it on the bill.  I was confused by the change and asked to see the vet.  It took me 10 minutes of arguing to finally get the vet to come out to talk to me about my dog's eyes swelling and the medicine.  I was furious without unhelpful everyone was at Leighow Veterinarian Hospital.
    I will not be returning.
