    HomeSquare Furniture
The sales representatives I dealt with were very helpful and patient as I made my decision on what to purchase.  The prices are competitive and the quality is superb.  Both purchases were made by the Amish community - superior craftsmanship.

We went looking for a couch and chair in Early American style.  Royal had many types and manufacturers to choose from.  We got custom made furniture for a very reasonable price, much less than I thought it would be.   Curt, the salesman, was very knowledgeable about the construction, fabrics, etc. for the various furniture.  We had a lot of questions, requests, and wanted to compare different options.  Curt was very patient and accommodating with our requests.   The professionalism at Royal Furniture definitely played a part in the decision to purchase from them.

When I called and explained that our dryer would start heating up, then go cold and stay that way, I was told it was most likely the igniter. They said they would order one and scheduled a service appointment for the following week. When the service tech arrived he said the igniter was ok and the problem was the timer.  It would take a week to order the timer and a service appointment was scheduled for the following week.  When he showed up with the timer a week later, he finally opened up the dryer, replaced the timer, and then noticed that a circuit board was burned.  He now said it probably wasn't the timer and was the circuit board and it would take a week to order..  He told me he would hang on to the old timer and put it back when he installed the new circuit board so I didn't have to pay for any unneeded parts.  Someone called him before he left and they scheduled the service appointment to replace the circuit board for two days later.
He arrived two days later to put back my old timer and a new circuit board. But he had a different truck and didn't have my old timer. He did have the new circuit board.  He installed it and declared the dryer fixed. He told me to set up another appointment so he could swap the new timer for my old one.  I was then presented with a bill for $275.
We were going to a wedding within a couple hours of the repair so we didn't get a chance to use the dryer till the next day.  After $275 and a couple weeks of screwing around, it did the same thing it did in the first place.
We are now heading out to Sears to buy a new dryer. By dealing with Lehigh Supply I've added $275 to my replacement cost.

UPDATE: 9/8/15   The owner came today and removed the new parts that were installed but didn't fix the problem..  He gave me a refund check for the $275 I had paid...  He did say that he was pretty sure what the problem actually was...  Wish he would have been there weeks ago...

Due to the long delays and mounting piles of dirty wash, we purchased a new dryer from Sears...

I upgraded the professionalism score to A..  This isn't to reflect the serviceman's multiple attempts to find the dryer's problem (unsuccessfully), but to reflect the owner's taking responsibility of the situation and providing a refund.

    Bossert's Custom Refinishing
Garin from Bossert's came to our home, examined the furniture, and then took it with him.  It was clear he loves what he does, which left us reassured that he'd take great care of both pieces.
He returned the older desk first, after having completely disassembled and cleaned it.  We can't tell where the repairs were made, and he used a teak oil (I believe) that gave the piece a rich tone.
With the second desk, the only reason we can even tell at all that it had ever been damaged is because we know the exact spot where it was broken.  It looks  beautiful now, and it, too, was cleaned and polished.
We had a disagreement over the bill, but it turned out to be entirely our fault.  (We insisted we'd never seen an estimate for the work before it was done.  We were wrong; it was right there, on the Bossert work order!)  Through it, though, Garin was polite, professional, and I believed him when he said he his main goal in doing any project like this is to please people with the restoration of their belongings -- especially when they have meaning to the owner, as does my mother's antique desk.
I would trust Garin and his staff with any piece of furniture in our home, knowing the work would always be done with the greatest of care!

    Carriage House II
I am not wealthy, but I knew I had quality furniture, and that it would be wiser to reupholster then replace. I searched for months for a company who provided top notch services at a fair price. Indeed, the heavens shined down upon me and introduced me to Carriage House. Right from the start it was a great experience. Diane is very knowledgable and personable. She, walked me through the entire process, down to the smallest detail.
I am having 3 pieces done in total, an 8 ft sofa and 2 tuffed swivel chairs. I staggered the pieces to have something to sit on, while the other pieces are done. The sofa has since been delivered and (oh boy) did I carry on. It was as if, I was on one of those home improvement reality shows. I do believe, I cried! My sofa is absolutely beautiful, I could not be more pleased. So pleased in fact, that I asked Diane give me a price to convert my wood table into a kitchen island. Being the professional she clearly is, Diane gently informed me, that it just wasn't worth it. Thank you for your honesty. I highly recommend Diane and the Carriage House!!

Bought a lovely chair and sofa in September of 2011 and was very pleased. We paid $128 extra for teflon fabric protector and were assured if we had any problems they would come to our house and remove the stain. The summer of 2014  we had a spill on the chair cushion. We called so they could come out and the care of the stain. They said they couldn't do anything unless we had the receipt from 2011. They said they would also look for a record of our purchase. Three months and several phone calls later they still weren't able to find our original purchase receipt. Finally my wife finds the receipt and now they want us to return the chair cushion to the store in order to be cleaned. We don't really live anywhere near the store.
Like the furniture. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently, you are on your own once you have given them your money.
Would not purchase at Ebert's Furniture Gallery again.

    Jacobs Music
It was a very positive experience. The store manager worked with us and was very helpful. We were expecting a high-pressure sales  experience based on everything we had read about piano purchasing, but that was not at all what happened. The Store Manager was very friendly, helpful with our young child (who was shopping with us), and willing and able to talk a lot about the pianos we considered, both new and used. She was able to provide us with very a realistic picture of each piano, as well as various perspectives on the pros and cons of the various pianos. What she told us was very much in line with what we had read as well as our own experience of the pianos. We spent two days looking at/playing the pianos before making a decision, and she was very patient and easy to work with. The prices offered were reasonable and within the range of recommendations from other sources we consulted on line. We definitely felt VERY good about the quality of the pianos offered and of the piano we ultimately purchased. Most importantly, we felt we were able to get the piano that was right for our particular circumstances based on all the information gathered and assistance from the store manager. We would definitely recommend this store (at least the one we visited in Allentown--apparently they have other sites elsewhere).

    Carriage House II
I am extremely pleased with the work done by Carriage House.  The furniture was collected from an apartment, initially to be refurnished, but after further examination it was determined that the pieces needed to be refinished.  The work was completed in the time established and was then delivered to my home.  The 2 dressers and nightstand look beautiful, I couldn't be happier.  Diane and her staff did an outstanding job - I would highly recommend Carriage House!!!

Diane did a unbelievable job refinishing and making some changes to an old hand me down dining table.  It was given to us years ago and my husband made some half-hearted attempts at refinishing it, but never got behind it.  He kept begging me to get rid of it, but I knew there was an awesome piece of furniture under there, and Diane found it!
My ideas were a bit wacky and included lowering the height of the table so I could use it with club chairs instead of regular dining chairs and rebuilding one of the leaves, which was done perfectly using wood recovered from the height reduction...brilliant!  We also went with an unconventional stain choice and again, it came out beautifully.  So now we have a unique piece of furniture that is all our and I swear is a cool as anything at Restoration Hardware, (which is where I kept looking).
She is extremely creative and has great skills.  Even tried to get her to redo my patio furn, but she was honest enough to say the set wasn't worth the cost.  Carriage House 2 has a permanent spot in my contact list.

Did an excellent job in reassembling the table pedestal in time for the holidays.  I also got a piece of good advice on keeping this problem from happening again.  I will definitely go back there for other furniture repair and restoration in the future.
