    Window Nation Inc
The entire process was seamless. Our salesman, Brian, was very knowledgeable regarding what would be the best window for our house (e.g. most cost effective, most durable, best appearance, most functional) and walked us through the process from purchase to installation. The installers were excellent; they did a great job on the install and cleaned-up afterwards. Overall a great experience and I would recommend Window Nation to anyone.

    West Shore
When I made the appointment to meet with West Shore I asked for samples of the windows so I could actually see what I was buying. I decided on slider windows but the only sample available to look at was a double hung which caused confusion on my part because I did not realize with a slider window it does not slide all the way over due to the locks (see picture), Had I seen the window I was buying I would have made a different choice. Also, we discussed that the windows would be made of thermo seal glass for energy efficiency which is a good thing but there was no discussion about the fact that the incoming light would be muted and there would be NO natural light coming thru. You see a green tint when you look out (see picture) and there is much less light coming in. My kitchen is now dark when rooms I did not have windows replaced are many shades lighter. I did not ask for the thermo seal and there was NO discussion of the negative impact of the light coming thru. The results are not acceptable. When you sell a product that is going to have such a dramatic affect on the lighting in a room, that needs to be disclosed. I would have never agree to these windows if I had know I would loss the natural light. I reached out to West Shore and hope they fix this situation ASAP. In addition I was told of the company always checks for lead as if it was a perk of using West Shore but found that I was actually charged for the lead test. This was a lot of money to be so unhappy with the results.

We got 3 quotes for windows for our house. Window installation specialists was the best offer of the 3. They were $5000 cheaper than the higest bid. They even included an Angies list coupon they had going at the time. (We were quoting the exact same line of Marvin windows). They were professional. Melissa even called to see if they could reschedule the installation start date, because one of their guys was in the hospital. I appreciate that she communicated with us up front. The crew was professional and finished on time. There were small little things, like one of our kitchen backsplash pieces broke off, but they fixed it nicely. There was also dirt on some of the walls. Not a huge issue, since I could wipe it off. (For $5000 less, I can wipe some dirt off of walls). Part of the window sill wasnt fastened on one of the windows. The owner thought it was that way before. (He wasnt at the site). We emailed him a video of the problem and when his crew was out the next day they sealed it for us which was great...helped keep wasps out! The crew was really professional. We loved having them around! We even got a bottle of wine out of the deal. Weve already recommended them to two friends. Actually thought I wrote this several months ago, but I do not see my review.

Craig was great to work with. Quality product, quality job. He did wonderful work and was very professional. He finished ahead of schedule, and everything turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend SUN-UP construction to anyone looking for a skylight install or replacement.

Everything went PERFECT. Steve came with 3 other workers. They were ALL so nice and friendly and having them in my home for several days were NO problem at all. Not only was the install smoother than I thought would happen - they cleaned up after themselves constantly. They dealt well with my 2 doggies when they came in and out of the house. I TOTALLY recommend you call Steve to come out for an estimate. I will use Steve again when I replace my front door.

    Pittsburgh Glass Block
The basement windows went well and look really good. I had one done last year and it looked so good I decided to have the other two in my basement replaced along with a bathroom window. When they first came out to measure they advised there would be no problem replacing the bathroom window.  The cost was twice as much as a basement window but, they explained it was a little more complicated to do a bathroom window. I asked and was assured the block window would fit and I would not have to have any additional repair work done after the window was installed. When I read the contract it indicated Pgh Glass was not responsible for any repair work such as plastering, wood trim, and finishes other than mortar. I noted on the contract that I was told there would be no need for plastering etc. because the window would fit so my expectation was there should be no need for that type of additional work. I got a call about my note on the contract and again explained I did not want the window if I was going to have to have another workman come in to plaster or repair anything because the new window did not fit the space. I was told Pgh glass would send out the men who were actually installing the window to measure it again to be sure. They came out and measured again and expressed no concerns. However,  once the window was actually installed I found that it sat back about 4 inches further than my old window did leaving old tile that is a different color than the tile on half of my windowsill and walls surrounding the new window. Now it's going to cost over $400.00 to paint the newly exposed tile and, the company who originally did the tile no long has the color I need. Also, there is mortar used to secure the window along the edge of most of the new glass blocks which needs to be scraped off. Lastly the mortar used between the blocks is grey which I was not expecting for a bathroom window, The basements windows do not have grey mortar between each block.
When I called about the window not fitting into the space as far in as the old one did leaving the old tile exposed I was told bathroom windows are tricky, you never can tell what will be found, and that the women I talked to about my concerns at the time I signed the contract had tried to warn me not to replace the bathroom window. I was also told to buy a paint scraper to scrape of the excess mortar on the new window myself.  This is exactly why I asked when I signed the contract if they would confirm the window would fit in a manner I would not have to have further work done. I was assured after the second measurement that would be the case.
Not sure why Pittsburgh Glass block would advertise they do bathroom windows and then explain that they are often tricky to put in and further repairs might be needed after it's installed. Also why the color between each block is grey which does not look great in a bathroom. Lastly, why I would be tasked with buying a paint scraper to scrape off excess mortar. Pittsburgh Glass block did not offer to do anything to correct any of these issues.

    Metropolitan Window Co
An appointment was set up immediately to give me an estimate.  Of the multiple estimates I received, MW was on par with the others but had the best professionalism and communication with me as a customer.  Guy explained the product well and helped me to find what I was looking for.  The window installation was timely and professionally done.  We are very pleased with the result and would definitely use MW again.

The project went really well. The company was not able to come on the first appointment but it did not end up being an issue. They were very efficient. I appreciated that the same person who measured the windows did the installation.

    Buccos Roofing
The crew assigned to my job did an outstanding job. They were there early in the day and worked their tails off until it was done. They were fast and competent and flat-out good.  They started removing the old roof around 8:30 in the morning and were done by 10:30!  Incredible.  I have installed new roofs before, when I was a lot younger, and went up on the roof to check things out when they were almost done. They used top-notch materials and the workmanship was very good.  They even painted the pipes and exhaust flues to match the roof--a very nice touch I wasn't expecting.  And when they were done on the roof, they cleaned up around the house BETTER than it was before they even started.
They even took my shutters down so I could paint them, allowing me not to have to climb a ladder.
I told them to tell the entire crew that I was impressed with their attitude, their work ethic, their ingenuity, the quality of their work, and their sincere humbleness. I wish everybody I met could be like they are; it was refreshing.

    Pittsburgh Glass Block
Bruce showed up and gave us 20% off right away when we mentioned Angie's List! We picked out the design and gave him a check for $100.00 down payment and selected a date that was good for us.
The worker showed up a few weeks later on time and installed the windows in 2 hours. He took the old windows with him and cleaned up when finished.
All went well without any issues.
