    Quinn's Excavating
Terrible! One star is not a low enough rating!! It’s absolutely too generous. Wouldn’t let this guy shovel dog poop out of our yard. They were hired to excavate and cover up for a drip line septic system. Two years of calling them, complaining, and threatening legal action, our yard is STILL a death trap! Holes and dips all through the yard, and there’s a huge pile of dirt that was SUPPOSED to be used to help fill in the holes and dips that STILL sits in the yard. It’s been there so long that it has grass growing on it!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER recommending them to anyone! DO NOT hire them! Such a waste of money! I’m so glad we paid $30k extra for our house to have this project done. Joe is an absolute crook! So much yard that can’t be used now, because someone could trip and hurt themselves!!

They did a good job and I was happy with their service. They came when they were supposed to come, their work was satisfactory and I had no complaints.

I called 5 different contractors for a quote. Brian was the only one to get back to me. When we finally settled on a time he showed up, got the job completed and the yard reseeded. Thanks Brian for a job well done.

    STROUSE BROTHERS INC
In both cases Strouse Brothers were competitive in price, coming in close to or under competitors in both jobs. In the case of the sand mound, both Dale and Mike (father and son currently running the operation) have been friendly, informative, and helpful throughout the process. Their crews were equally enjoyable to work with, asking me throughout the process if there were decisions to be made and working with me however they could. An example of them going above and beyond was when they were excavating for the new lines, they found a drainage line for my gutters. Not only did they work this into their plan, they set it up in the alternative location I requested and ran the new drain line at no additional cost to me. The crew informed me of their schedule in advance, and always kept to what they committed to. I've really been pleased to work with them overall. As far as any negative points to working with Strouse, I will say they're an in demand company in the area, and due to their relatively small size (versus a large conglomerate for example), there are some delays at times with starting larger jobs. This was more of an issue in my case due to the nature of the project (escrowed funds due to bank conditions of home sale). I'll admit I was nervous about this at first, as I could have had issues if they hadn't finished in the agreed to schedule. But once I spoke with Dale about the situation, he was responsive and they started soon after we spoke, finishing well within the agreed upon timeframe. Overall you can't find a better or more ethical company in the area for this type of work. If you need further proof, ask any locals who they would hire for these types of jobs. In my experience, the 10 or so people I asked all recommended Strouse first. I thought about writing a review based on another positive encounter I just had with Mike Strouse. I called their offices to setup a septic tank pump out, based on the schedule I'd understood as normal for that service. Mike asked me a few probing questions (if I was still living alone here, other conditions of signs this should be performed, etc). He then said based on the size and setup of my system, I could easily wait another three years before having this service performed. All of this advice was of course offered at no charge to me. I'm impressed by that type of service as you don't find it often these days; Mike could have just as easily scheduled a pump out and charged me several hundred dollars, and I'd have had no idea it wasn't really needed. Having a company you can trust goes a long way for me in being able to recommend them to others.

    Advanced Septic Services Inc
They were very responsive and very good. It was wonderful having the septic tanks cleaned. We didn't need it done but we wanted it done. The price was pretty good; it was a little high. He did a great job and the tank was clean when he was done. He was on time and he was definitely professional. We would absolutely use them again.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
The total price was 1550.00 and they let me put down $500.00 and write 2 post dated checks for $525.00 each which was greatly appreciated the only problem was that they put all 3 checks in at once which caused a problem but they took care of the stop payment on checks and 2 new post dated  checks was issued...

    Aspire HVAC-R
I guess it went okay. They're very good. We didn't used them but they're very good. They come back with a quote. Very, very nice people. Very nice man I spoke with. I had called them and they came, I think, the very next day for the quote. They came out and looked at the area here and we got a quote, I think, about a week later. The quote was $5500 with the extra tank that we needed to put in from Aspire and $4500 without the tank. We didn't know it at the time when I spoke with the man but we found out later from our sewage enforcement officer that we did need the tank. They just kind of checked the area that was out here that we already had the drain field in and we spoke to them. Like I said, very, very nice people. That was pretty much it because there wasn't much else they could do. They were at least an hour away but they were willing to come here and do it. We started looking around closer to home and that's why chose the person closest to home then to do the job. We still haven't had it done yet but the other company is going to do it. If they were closer, we would use them. There was another man that he brought with him and they were both very nice. Sometimes you do go with local people, too. But as far as Aspire is concerned, they're a very good company. When I called, he called back. I would recommend them for their professionalism and their promptness. We just decided because we got a better price close to home, we decided to use it.
