On Wednesday, June 5, 2013 I called the Dr on duty. I told her that my contractions were pretty close and lasting a long time. She said that it was time to come to the hospital. After I arrived I was given a cervical exam and told I was 2cm and 70% effaced. Approximately 1 hour later I was checked again and told that I was now up to 3 cm. So the Dr. on duty told the nurses to admit me. I was given my IV and fluids. Within the next few hours I was told that I progressed to 5cm and was also given my epidural. The next day, after the Dr. on duty changed, I was checked by the dr. and he said that I was only 2cm. I found this very strange since I was just told that I was 5cm dilated. He told me that if by the time he came back to check me again, I hadnt made a cervical change, then he was going to send me home. I got very upset and even started crying, this continued for awhile. I didn't want to get sent home and then have to come back again and have to have all of these things done again. Well, luckily I made a cervical change. Other than this negative experience, I really enjoyed these doctors. It was very different for me, going from only having one doctor to having multiple, but I really liked most of the doctors.

I was put at ease as soon as I entered the building. The front-desk staff was very friendly and the surroundings were comfortable and visually pleasing. I was called back on time- my appointment was at 9am and at 9am I was taken back to the room. The nurse was friendly and took a thorough background of my health history and that of my family. After she left, I only waited about 10 minutes for Dr. Opida to come in. She was very nice and I must say very gentle with the exam. It was actually the most comfortable exam I have ever experienced. Afterwards, she asked about my use of contraceptives and offered me other alternatives and gave my literature on them. I can now say after that experience I am now a patient of Dr. Opida's until she retires!

The nurse I saw was very nice and did a good job answering the few questions I had.  However, my complaint here was the LONG wait.  I had my six week old baby along and ended up waiting in a gown for close to an hour.  I had time to read two magazines and nurse my baby before being seen.  This was  really big problem especially since my three year old was with a sitter.  I would encourage them to let patients know of these kinds of waits and give them the opportunity to call their sitter or reschedule.

When I first saw Dr. O'Brien I was only a few weeks pregnant, and I was having cramps. When I called into his office he had me come in weeks before I was due to make my first appointment. He had me checked every week to see what was wrong with me and my child. He saw that I was carrying twins and showed me what was going on. I miscarried my sons twin but Dr. O'Brien was there and helped me with what happened. He had me in every few weeks for five months after that I was in his office and went for pictures of the baby every two weeks. When I was in my 8th month he had me come in to check on me and my son every week and pictures of him three times a week. Anytime I was worried he was there on the phone himself making sure I was ok and had me into his office to double check. He never once treated me like a worried mother that was crazy and always trusted that I know my body better than anyone. He's the one that told me that and made be believe that I would know if something was wrong with my child. I have to have a C-Section and my son was due the day after Christmas, Dr. O'Brien was going on vacation that week since December 17th is his birthday but because that is the day I needed to have my baby he came in and delivered him. He was one of the best doctors I have ever had I would trust him to anyone I knew. He is also the doctor that tied my tubes and he did a great job with that. Also I bleed and almost died with my other two children and Dr. O'Brien did a great job that I had no problems at all and did not even need to have blood after. If you need a doctor in this area I would go to him.

This provider was horrible. He delivered my daughter, but was extremely unprofessional and nearly killed us both. Let me go almost a month overdue. Improper cleanliness of office rooms and hands before exams, caused sepsis. Had to demand a c-section. When my heart rate and that of the baby went south he told the nurses to let me know that he would be in after he stopped at sheetz to get breakfast and coffee, then when I was stable he decided not to come in. So after 24 hours and me begging finally did my c-section. Sent me home with a severe infection and ended up back in the hospital after he told me I was pretty much faking it for my entire 8 day hospital stay. My record included my medication allergies, but he sent me home with one on the list which cause bloody stool among other things. He also called children and youth on me before I left the hospital because he said I was arguing with him and therefore unstable, plus there was failure to bond. I was not allowed to see my daughter most of the time because I was so medicated and sick and she was in the ICU. Then my post care: I was left sitting in an exam room for an hour before deciding to leave and not waiting any longer. Would not recommend and will not return to. He always had appointments available, but not all the staff was friendly. His one nurse was very pleasant tho and billing wasn't a problem.

I went to see Dr. Zlupko, for a high blood pressure, and breathing problem. The Dr sent me home he told me it is expected due to being pregnant. One hour later I was taken to the hospital due to breathing problem, and was admitted. The Next day Dr. Zlupko again discharged me and sent me home, and said what do you want to do is stay hospital for a month until the baby is born, note he said it very nasty to me. One day later I was taken to the hospital again same thing and admitted again and they ran test for four days, and could not find any thing. Then on the four day they found the pressure around my lungs was very high. With in the next hour I was being packed up to be sent by helicopter to a new hospital. Once there a the doctor ran the right test and found a blood clot, and treated it and had me out of ICU within two hours I got there. Then after I got home that Dr and his group charged me a office visit even when I was in the hospital.
