    Diamond Construction & Remodeling Inc
We were the designers on the job for the Kitchen and Pantry of a recent home addition project. We worked closely with Diamond Construction on all of the details. His eye for detail was great. The communication and understanding what we were trying to achieve in our designs was seamless. If there was a question, he called us immediately. All of the subs were extremely respectful and we would like to work with them all again. We work with many contractors and in our opinion they are one of the best we have worked with.

    JDR Home Improvements
Great! Joel and his crew were perfectionists. They worked very well together to create a beautiful, solid and well-built Trex deck. They worked through rain and heat to have it finished in four days. After the deck was finished, they built the new railing for our front porch. Everything was completed and totally cleaned up in five days. Joel and his crew were very pleasant, hard-working, and knowledgeable. The work was well-done and reasonably priced, and we are very happy with JDR Home Improvements!

We could not be more pleased with our overall experience of working with Mike and his team throughout our deck transformation. Mike met with us on several occasions prior to the project and discussed all of the options to give us the perfect new deck for our family. The team was very pleasant, professional and thorough during this entire project. They arrived at 8:00 AM and worked efficiently every day. They cleaned up everything at the end of the each day, and especially at the end of the project. We are extremely happy with our new deck and would definitely recommended Mike and his crew for your next project

    B T Johnston Construction Inc
I will say that the workers were good craftsman and did quality work as directed. However, the owner is focused on strength of construction over design. During our initial meeting, I presented several photos of what I wanted after doing research on what Trex offered. These were pictures of completed TREX projects. He was not willing to change his design even though I expressed my fear that it was to "HEAVY" and did not meet the look that I wanted. If you have specific look in mind, I suggest you find another contractor. I will take some of the responsibility for signing the contract when I was leery about his proposal. He even told me I was afraid of change. The deck is beautiful, the stairs are functional and to code, but they are not what I wanted. I don't know if this is a design issue or not, but my husband and I have stumbled going up the stairs several time as we brought the furniture back up to the deck. Due to his design, the stairs are narrow as compared to our previous stairs and any others I have seen and the top hand rail is quite a distant below the deck post. I don't know how that is safe, but it is to code. In addition, our large deck is above our large patio. Most of our entertaining is done on our patio and in our yard. Our previous decking over the joists looked rather attractive as a ceiling for our patio. Where the Trex deck boards butt each other, per the instructions for installation, the contractor added a block of wood underneath to attach the clips. Since the boards meet randomly, the underside of the deck now has a very unprofessional appearance with these randomly placed blocks of wood. Knowing that we are not the only people who have this situation, I would think that Trex would have some suggested solutions. But we were told that is the way he had to do it and that it had to stay that way. Unfortunately, we were not told about that BEFORE it was done. We were also not told about a major change to the design of the stairs until AFTER it had been done. And the work took 3 1\2 weeks rather than the 6 to 10 days we were told. I noticed in the previous reviews references to the contractor offering many suggestions. Just be aware that you may not be able to disagree with them.

    Goetz Contracting
Goetz Contracting is an extremely professional company that prides themselves on customer service and provides a high quality of work. We recently needed to have the porch, gutters, and railings in front of our house replaced. Michael and his team were honest, easy to work with and have great attention to detail. The communication, and constant follow up by Michael and his team turned this difficult project into an enjoyable one. I would HIGHLY recommend their services and will definitely use them when it is time for our next project.

    EAS Roofing
The experience has been extremely positive. During my initial meeting with Eugene I immediately felt comfortable and the options were presented in a non pressure / non salesman style that made it easy to arrive at a combination of services that best fit my needs and budget. My interactions with EAS were always professional and very much customer focused. We even discussed EAS's dedication to keeping the work area clean to mitigate any safety concerns for my family and pets. The work area was kept very clean. I was very impressed with the dedication of the work team to complete the roof cover as quickly as possible to avoid weather issues. The team worked 11 - 12 hour days to complete the roofing and the gutter team worked on Saturday. A supervisor review of the work was conducted each day. Eugene proactively communicated with me to ensure that I knew what progress had been made and what the upcoming schedule would be. I am extremely satisfied and would recommend EAS to friends and family.

    Suburban Home Improvement
The job was completed as described / agreed. However, not long afterward there was a problem with some of the work starting to "sag" in the middle. I called the company and was told that one of the "foreman" would be out to look at it. Weeks later I called back for an update and was told that they would stop by "sometime" and look at it. Months later I am still waiting. Clearly they do not back their final work product. I am very disappointed since we paid a lot of $$$ for the job.

    Betterliving Patio Rooms of Pittsburgh

After buying a house with an old deck we quickly decided we wanted something enclosed. Our kitchen also was designed with a horrible "bump out" - sort of a bay window for a door, which we hated. We didn't know exactly what we wanted but we know we wanted something enclosed. Having a carport for a third car below was something we were considering.

We met with Ray and had lots of questions. Ray helped us to focus on what it is we really wanted and what was important for us. For example, we knew we wanted a sunroom and a small outside deck for a grill but only thought about it based on the existing deck. Therefore, we were thinking about laying it out exactly like the existing deck - with the deck and stairs closest to the driveway. Ray pointed out that this layout would not be optimal as the railing of the deck would somewhat obstruct the view from inside the new sunroom. Since our view is only towards the east and not the west Ray suggested we flip it so the deck and stairs would be on the west and the eastern view would be completely unobstructed. Sure this means a slightly longer walk to the driveway, but the view is now incredible and unobstructed! This is just one of many decisions that could have gone either way where Ray helped us make the right decision. Not that what we wanted would have been wrong, we just didn't know. Sure, with the deck and stairs on the other side its a longer walk down to the driveway, but we hardly ever use those stairs but I see the view every day.

Work started within our expectations, about three months from when we signed. After we signed the contract we started working dealing with Jami the production manager on coordinating timing for work to begin. Once work began we talked pretty much every day coordinating whether or not they needed to be inside the house that day, minimizing the amount of time we needed to stay home during the project. Ray checked in on major milestones along the way and stopped by from time to time which was a nice touch.

What we got was a great sunroom with maintenance free deck, with stairs and railing with a carport underneath big enough for a car, RVs, a boat, etc. Most importantly, we now know we have the best possible view from inside our sunroom which we see every day. We absolutely love the new room, the deck and the carport is a nice addition too given all the snow we have had.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

Mike called almost immediately when I requested a quote.

The crew was there on time every day and cleaned up every day. They were very nice and courteous.

The work was unbelievable. The results are amazing. I love my new deck and walkway . It adds to the beauty of the house immensely. I was completely satisfied with every phase of the job. Mike also was great to tell me when the job would start and to call him if I had any problems or questions. the customer service provided was top notch.

Had meeting with Gary to discuss deck project; the meeting went very well, but since then have not been able to contact anybody at the company.  They do not return emails or phone calls.  They did have a serious family situation in June, but since that time they cannot be reached.  Phone calls get the same answering machine message with no return calls.  May no longer be in business.
