Where I live there's no public transportation and you have to drive everywhere and not knowing anything about leasing a car and what bothered me the most is that acting when they talked me into leasing of the car I had a recall on my car. So, if I had waited shortly thereafter I would have gotten a better deal and I wrote survey and sent to their headquarters about that and they justified me as being a female I could get some percentage and I let them know about that. If i had waited a day or week or so I would have gotten a better deal because I would have had more leverage to what I negotiated. My last Toyota 2012 was tied to the pricing into the lease car. I just think they were just being so greedy. They are very polite and very nice but they should have let me know that there was a recall on that car and I should have not have negotiated and gotten a lease car. They are the ones that sent me the recall. They were very good about punctuality.

It was easy to schedule an appointment over the web. They also handled filing the claim with my auto insurance. The person who came out was punctual and called 30 minutes before arriving to let me know when I should expect his arrival. He told me it would take an hour to complete and it was indeed an hour.  The money I shelled out was the deductible from my insurance plus the cost of the wipers.
Customer Service though could improve a bit. They were courteous but when they called and left a voicemail to confirm my appointment and location they had the wrong city and zipcode. When I called back they had to change the date and time, though the where I lived was only 15 minutes away from the town they had listed. I am not sure why they had to reschedule so that was a little annoying. Other than that the employees here are nice, professional and courteous. I would certainly use them again and refer others.

My main reason for such a high rating for this shop is their responsiveness. I have a 2008 Scion in very good condition. All of it's problem's have been the result of potholes, exposed manhole covers or nails.
I hit an exposed manhole cover one night in Scranton and knew immediately there going to be damage. I made it home, keeping a close eye on my car's emergency lights and had my mechanic husband go check it out. I was right and it turns out I was lucky to make it home at all. I called Blakeslee garage in the morning, explained the situation and carefully and slowly drove up to them. My husband could only tell me what he saw was wrong, and without a lift, lacked the ability to really check it out, but I did go in with a little bit of knowledge as to what was wrong. They took me immediately, without having an appointment (they have always taken me fast) and gave it a thorough look over. They even brought me in to the garage so I could explain where I hit and what I heard while I was under the car showing them. I've had a number of very small emergencies like this while I've lived up here, a frozen in "engaged" position brake caliper and a number of other things that I'd have to go talk to the mechanic of the household to remember. All I know is they always take me in quickly, have inspected for damage without charging me, immediately indicated what was wrong and asked if I wanted to have them do the work or my husband (since it's cheaper that way). When I've opted for them to do the work, they complete it quickly and satisfactorily. I have a little bit of an upper hand as I always go in with a very good idea of what is wrong with the car and how much it should cost. They've been surprised that I've noticed something was wrong before it got much worse (I drive a lot and immediately cry foul play when I feel something strange, my poor husband has to check out that car a lot).
I also appreciated that when I called up about a big job repairing my husbands car they came right out and said that it was too big a job for them, but they gave me an estimate of what it should cost so when I called other places I would have an idea of what was reasonable.

"Oh wow!" is right! The car comes back real clean. The steering wheel is not greasy. That is really important to me. You take a clean car in, you want a clean car back. They do a real nice job there. The office is well managed and they call and let you know when the car is ready and if there are any problems with it. It's a real nice place for auto service.

I recived a recall for my Toyota Tundra for rust through on the frame. I went to Halterman Toyoa on a Friday afternoon and was told I had no rust and they replaced the strapes on the gas tank. I was told to bring it back Monday morning and they would keep it for 3 days and undercoat it. When I returned on Monday, I was told this was not for my truck even though they replaced the strapes and my vin number was on the recall. Went to another dealer and got a free rental car for 3 days, the recall was done.

Bought car from them over a year ago. The engine died. The owner of company had us tow the car into there lot. We asked for an estimate. The owner refused to give an estimate told her we were not authorizing the repair until we had an estimate. She bought an engine for $1000 but refused to give estimate for the labor. When we arrived the owner had trhe car in the shop ready to start the work we still did not have an estimate for the job. Owner yelled and carried on about towing the car and buying engine but still refused to tell us how much for labor. Threatened to repose car if not repaired there regardless of amount of labor. Asked how can repose car if it is paid up to date. Threatend us with a law suite told her to go ahead. We finally paid for the balance of the car payment and cost of towing from Phildelphia. Refused to pay for engine because she still refused to give estimate for labor for installing the engine. Will never buy a car from them or take any auto to shop for repairs. Tow truck driver that towed car back to our home stated the mechanic in the shop does not have qualifications to replace engine use to work for him as a part time driver and installed tires for him. Very bad service, owner was unbeliveable to deal with felt like I was in twilight zone just wanted an estimate for repair was willing to pay what we owed on loan not willing to pay more then car is worth for a repair.

Very bad customer service, bait and switch method on getting people to come into dealership. Would not sell car because I did not finance thru them.

Great customer service. Nice waiting area and free WiFi while you wait for your vehicle. The full points inspection and car wash at no charge is always a nice benefit.
