    Bull Mountain Roofing
Bull Mountain Roofing replaced our cedar shake roof with 50 year Presidential shingles during the summer of 2017. They also replaced the gutters and fixed some siding. We were very happy with their work and would highly recommend their services!!! We researched several roofing companies and selected Bull Mountain Roofing based on competitive pricing and responsiveness to our needs and questions. Hector was particularly friendly and helpful with setting up the schedule and coordinating the effort. The crew arrived on time, were polite, and very professional in their work. They cleaned up each day and provided an informed update on their progress. They always included us in any installation decisions. We enjoyed watching our house become a Street of Dreams.

    SFW Construction LLC
After much research on the web, including Angies List and the Oregon CCB, I hired SFW Construction in June 2018 to repair dry rot and other issues on the exterior of my Wilsonville home. I was not disappointed in their work. The SFW crew (Tracy, Don, Tom, Angel, and Matt) were the best: knowledgeable, skilled, hardworking, and just darn nice guys! Every interaction and communication with SFW was a pleasure, including their office staff. In the SFW office, I want to single out Natasha, SaDee, and Jeff as being especially helpful and focused on customer service. It doesnt get any better than this. Im so lucky I hired SFW Construction.

It went extremely well. Damiel came out day after we called and gave us a bid on doing the job. We hired him the next day as no one else even answered our calls or were booked until January. Since the window leaked despite intensive caulking we accepted his offer. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. He and his son are a great team. He kept in touch by email and text arriving as scheduled. The job was done much faster than we anticipated as we didn't have the issues we thought we would have. The drywall and siding in, job cleaned up in 4 hours! They are a wonderful team and we will hire them again to do some other remodeling jobs. I am also giving his name to my neighbors who are trying to find someone. Thank you Damiel!

    EXPRESS REMODELING INC
Not to well. I had made my down payment in Feb. I heard nothing from them until I called them in April to see what was going on. They finally scheduled me. Then had to cancel because of the rain, which I could understand, but they were not good about staying in touch. I had to stay in touch with them and find out what was going on. I was told that they never had to "hold someone's hand" as much as they did mine. Maybe that was true, but I don't know. I do want to know what is going on and when. It was a huge project for me and I wanted to make sure that it got done as promised. The crew were great people, but did not pick up after themselves until I said something to the person in charge. After that they did clean up after themselves. They covered up my door bell connection and said that they would be back to fix it. That was in August and it still has not been corrected. The paint job looks great from the distance, but close up you can see the flaws. I was supposed to put blue tape in the areas that needed to be addressed. Unfortunately there are areas that I did not see at the time, but that is my fault for not catching the areas that needed attention.

    IN YOUR HOME
It went terribly. Please see the email chain below. This company asked us the home owner to do the original measurements (obviously so they would not have to hire an estimator.) We did and they showed up without material on the day the work was to start. They wanted to charge us to go back and get it. We said no. They pleaded for another chance at the work up to and including a one hour credit they referred to as a "remorse credit." We agreed and by this time a "journeyman" with their company had taken all measurements and provided a complete estimate (company owner tried to claim it was a "quick estimate" but I had evidence to the contrary in their email from the owner himself.) They came back out and the $1100 estimate turned out to be a bill for $2100. Their "journeyman" was at our house for 2 days and never said a word about doubling the bill nor did their office, in fact told me he was trying to bring it in less than the original $1100 quote which the owner never addressed. They found one additional 16 foot board that had to be replaced and I said ok to a reasonable estimate increase and was then taken advantage of with a bill that doubled. Do not use this company. Sadly - the physical work itself was fine - but as I told the owner - quality is more than just nails and boards it's communication, it's honesty, it's fairness, which we didn't experience. Sent: Wednesday, August 02, 2017 3:32 PM To: 'Brian Bartholomew' ; Cc: Michael Megahan ; Richard Griffiths ; Sue Bowman Subject: RE: Invoice 5849 from In Your Home Brian we will pay the invoice in full but I have to tell you this is extremely disappointing. Couple comments. You refer to the $1100 as a quick guestimate which is not accurate. We have all of the correspondence from you and in part you previously said before the job started copied and pasted from your e-mail: If you are ready to proceed please advise and I will have a journeyman staff member swing by to confirm materials and dimensions. Nothing was a surprise we discussed it all with Rich other than one $40 board that had carpenter ants that he had to go and get and replace that was not forseeable.in no way, shape or form did anyone communicate that the bill was going to more than double nor was this a surprise or should it have been a quick guestimate. I dont understand the ethics or the math of how the original estimate more than doubled minus a partial credit. We will pay the bill though. You mention being completely satisfied - work is much more than the way the siding looks when done its a no surprise no doubling of an estimate no failure to communicate to the home owner when your personnel are on their property for several hours. From: Brian Bartholomew [mailto:brianb@pdx.iyhusa.com] Sent: Wednesday, August 02, 2017 2:45 PM To:>; Cc: Michael Megahan ; Richard Griffiths ; Sue Bowman Subject: RE: Invoice 5849 from In Your Home I did check in with our team and can share the following: More clarity with communication would be helpful to head off misunderstandings and disappointments like this. From everything I have gathered, it sounds like Rich did a good job keeping you informed of what he was finding and that more would be required in order to get a quality result. And he stayed later on the first day trying to get things closed up and in better shape. Rich conveyed that he felt he had good alignment with you as to the required work and what was needed. It would have been smart had we calculated what those additional hours and materials were going to cost you and given you a dollar amount heads up so you could have had that $ verification before the second days work began. The very nature of time and materials project is to spend less time estimating and budgeting and more time just getting the work done. I also understand that additional lineal footages and scope of work was added which also contributed to required work and budget spend. Our initial $1100 reference was clearly indicated as a quick guestimate and that our terms of agreement were an hourly rate plus materials for a talented journeyman like Rich to make repairs to your home. And that you would only be billed for actual work performed Hopefully you are completely satisfied with the quality of the work performed. I know Rich was in fact there working diligently on your behalf so only actual work hours are being billed. I will send separate email regarding your balcony project. Respectfully, Brian and Team

    LADA Enterprises Inc
Bid was almost double what we eventually got from another contractor - $21,800. LADA was going to replace three sides with "vertical" siding similar to T111. Instead we got hardy plank lap siding on all three sides and painted for under $12,000. I wish I could attach their bid to this review.

    Northwest Siding & Windows
We scheduled for July, but NW Siding had an opening in June so they came out early to get it done. The crew was very efficient and professional and my wife and I a very happy with the new windows and door. They open and close so much easier and the house has been staying much cooler with the new windows installed.

    Joseph Ketner Construction
Was contacted by the company promptly - advised the job was too small (which is fine - appreciated the communication.) They made some suggestions to try and assist although they didn't end up doing the work. My communication and experience with this company was helpful - if I have a larger job I will contact them. I incorrectly confused them with one of the many companies that never got back to us or no showed

    SFW Construction LLC
My first review was done before I had the opportunity to speak to the owner. After clarifying a few things, I wish to change my review. I found SFW to be very understanding and willing to work with their client. I would hire them again for another job.

    M Brothers Construction
These guys are real pros. They are excellent tradesmen. Used the best materials that matched existing siding. Superior craftsmanship including finished carpentry work around windows inside and out.  They treat your home as they would their own. They were on time, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves daily. I would highly recommend them for any general remodeling project. We have reengaged their services to replace two exterior doors and additional windows. We also expect to use them next year for additional work including a bathroom remodel.

M Brothers explained in detail what they were doing and were generous and patient with their time to ensure we understood the work they were doing. We are totally satisfied with their work and I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to neighbors and friends. The end product added value and beauty to our home.
