    Ace Handyman Services
I worked with Mike H. on two projects and I could not be happier. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and does fantastic work. I've used other handyman services in the past and the work Mike did was vastly better. I cannot recommend Ace enough. When you call request the services of Mike.

    Superior Building Concepts LLC
We struggled to find a contractor to take on this somewhat unique project. I guess because it is a "wine cellar" some folks probably saw dollar figures when quoting, so we got some pretty high estimates. It was sure refreshing when Stan's bid came in just about exactly where we expected it. From day one we were impressed. Stan listened to our requirements carefully and drew up a detailed bid for the project at a cost we felt was reasonable and fair. He started the project very promptly (very much appreciated), and worked diligently throughout, finishing everything up almost two weeks ahead of schedule! Amazing attention to detail, Stan took the extra steps we might not of thought of (such as protective covering over studs where electrical or plumbing was present, for example). Our one change order was handled quickly and effectively, and Stan was always on site personally (if not doing the work directly himself). This project also involved installation of a specialize wine cellar cooling unit (split system - think HVAC). These are complicated units, and I doubt very much he had any experience with them previously. He and his crew pulled it off perfectly. We were very impressed, and wouldn't hesitate to hire again. Thanks Stan!

    Paul Cottle Construction LLC
Paul’s crew did an excellent job remodeling our kitchen. This included removing the soffit, upgrading the electrical service, installing new cabinets, and installing some new appliances. We stayed with a similar layout for the kitchen. His main crew person, Mark, did 95 percent of the work and was highly skilled. This included demolition, preparing the space for the new kitchen, installing the cabinets, and putting in duct work for the new hood. He even unpacked all the cabinets after delivery. His attention to detail was impressive in all areas like ceiling texture, painting, backsplash tile, and trim/molding pieces. Mark will be able to figure out and resolve any issue your old house might present. New appliances were on our own to provide, and the contract clearly stated “owner supplied.” New cabinets were also on our own, and here Paul included an allowance. This allowance is an amount he will subtract from the final amount you owe. That’s nice when you get to the end of the project. Your cabinet estimate will come from the cabinet supplier/design company you go with. To give you an idea, in our small kitchen we spent $10,000 on cabinets from Parr. Paul coordinated the main construction, electricians, plumbers, and countertop installation. He even communicated with the cabinet supplier we ordered from. The project took a tad over 6 weeks which was about right for the work involved. Each day there was noticeable progress.

    Refined Restoration
It was a pleasure to work with Randy and his Son on my home project. Very friendly and personable and joy to have in the house. All subcontractors performed excellent work and the whole remodel process went completely smooth. I have heard the remodel horror stories but experienced none of that. Just good quality and loving craftsmanship. I really wanted to bring my kitchen out of the 70's but also retain the 20's bungalow vibe. Refined Restoration made it happen. Randy really listened to my ideas and he had some great ideas too, that I would have never even thought of. We had received bids from two other contractors that were big companies, we chose Refined Restoration because we felt we were getting a more personal experience. We love our new kitchen! Best Contractor in Portland if you have a historic home! *Just a reminder it's Covid so remodel projects take longer than normal (obtaining supplies, how many people can work in the home at a time, etc.) so just be patient it was worth the wait.

    Let's Remodel
The website is easy to use and the office is nice and full of samples and ideas for your next project. I was on the fence about what colors and materials I wanted to use, Polina and staff helped me narrow down my choices. The construction staff showed up on time and promptly completed my project. Overall: Loved this power couple! The staff was professional, caring and helped me make the best decisions for my property.

    5 Star Painting/Shad & Patty Holmes
I saw the job Shad and Deborah did on a friends house and had to get this team on my project. Their attention to detail and pride in what they do shined in each brush stroke. And if that’s not enough to have you hire them immediately. They’re the coolest most laid back team I’ve ever worked with. I was sorry to see them go but will definitely see them for future projects!! They are NOT to be confused with “five star painting”. These are the ORIGINAL!!

    Envision Painting & Roof Coatings
Julio and his crew showed up on time, looked over the bathroom and discussed some of the details with us. They did an incredible job. The new drywall was primed, and everything was painted as requested, with the correct paint. The clean-up was spotless. The entire job was completed in one day. Two days later, we saw a little area by the shower door where the paint didn't quite cover, which we hadn't noticed initially. We called Envision and Julio came back the next day and touched it up perfectly. We would definitely hire Envision Painting again.

    Artistic D-Zine Construction Inc.
D was Awesome! before even giving a quote for the work D did more due diligence than any of the other of many contractors we contacted. He looked through the crawlspace and even (with permission) carefully took apart some existing siding to discover that the wall behind it was solid concrete. He helped us think of problems that might arise during the project and how to deal with them in advance so that there would be fewer surprises. D has an eye for detail and put in extra work at no charge to fix up some things that weren't in the original bid in order for the finished work to be perfect. D worked hard and got things done quickly and professionally. I definitely recommend him and expect to have him do more work on my house in the future.
