    All About Concrete & Masonry
During my course of researching for the most competent concrete and masonry contractor in the Portland/Wilsonville area, I began asking neighbors in the community for referrals. The name All About Concrete and Masonry came up again and again. Not only that, but neighbors were happy to showcase Ron's work for me. Because a previous concrete contractor had poured a concrete patio up against the cedar siding of my home, the siding had dry-rotted! Also, my brick pillars were failing. I needed to know what my options were from a knowledgeable concrete and masonry professional! I telephoned Ron. Ron was prompt, knowledgeable, pleasant and down to earth. He explained my options thoroughly, and provided estimates for various options. On the day the first of the jobs was scheduled, Ron and his crew arrived ready to go to work! I found Ron's crew to be super hard-working and conscientious! When the work was completed, the crew cleaned up the area to perfection. In my book All About Concrete and Masonry is the best, hands-down! Since then, I have had Ron and his crew do all of my masonry and concrete repairs. When the time comes to replace my concrete driveway, I plan to select 'pavers', and All About Concrete and Masonry will without a doubt be my #1choice to do the job!

    Forest Landscape Inc
Jose and Rigo clearly have expertise in concrete pouring and excel in customer service. Forest Landscape was one of  four vendors we contacted for proposal estimates. First contact towards the end of April. Able to schedule estimate visit with Jose within a week. Jose provided written estimate the following week. At the time of estimate, they were booked about 5-6 weeks out. Over the next month, continued to look at various projects to determine stamped / texture options and color.

All of their previous customers we contacted highly recommended them. We did not sign contract and pay required 50% down until May 30th. Our project was put on schedule for July 20th. Jose was extremely helpful in providing various locations to check out in order to get "color and look" we wanted. Both Jose and Rigo were very responsive throughout the process whether trying to reach them by text, phone, or email. Rigo contact us to start a few days early, but unfortunately we had planned on July 20th date around work schedule so still had some prep work to complete (run electrical and propane lines). Forest Landscape crew started on July 21 with prep work and poured entry and part of back patio on Thurs 7/23. Because of other work, they originally were not going to return until Mon 7/27 to finish, but after insisting they please pour remainder of concrete on Friday, they did.

Rigo sent additional workers to ensure the job got done. This was especially important because the week of July 20th had lower temperatures and the following week temps were forecast to be in 90s again. I'm sure this decision impacted another customer, but we were very grateful to have it poured when they did. Some crew members returned on Sat am to wash off powder release coat and sealed a small portion of the entry area so we could see what finished product would look like. They returned on Mon 7/27 to complete the rest of the first seal coat. We are especially pleased with the concrete color. We wanted a dark charcoal/almost black color to match stone on house. And even though the dark base color (Onyx 920) was considerably more expensive than original proposed Slate color, it turned out to be the look we wanted. Crew members, lead by Ramon, were pleasant, consistently worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. Although there is still work to be done to complete patio, the results of the concrete portion exceeded our expectations.

We are so grateful to Jose and Rigo' for their patience and understanding. They kept reassuring us along the way, this is what they do everyday. Clearly they know what they are doing. And a week after completion of work, when they was a concern about dirt settling under stairs and potentially going to cause a problem, Rigo responded to an urgent phone call and checked things out on a Saturday morning. Reassuring to know they are available and respond to their customers even when the job is completed. Highly recommend and would definitely used again.

They were good. Everything was good. They were prompt. I would tell a friend that they do good work, they are reasonable price-wise and I would hire them again. They are hard workers. They did an excellent job.

    All About Concrete & Masonry
Expertly done from start to finish.  Pavers must be installed properly to look right and stand the test of time.  It is obvious Ron and his crew know what they are doing.  Our HOA does not allow pavers, so we did stamped concrete on the drive.  It is beautiful!

    Earthworks Landscape Service
We hired them through a personal referral. They were fantastic. They were terrific to work with. They were very warm, friendly, professional and helpful. They had lots of ideas. We didn't implement all of them because we weren't prepared to go to that length. They did a great job with what we decided on mutually with them. We would absolutely use them again in the future.

    WOODSMYTHE REMODELING & CONSTRUCTION LLC
He was in and out for six weeks.  He was very good for what I wanted.  He was very professional.   He cleaned up and kept everything neat and tidy.  I chose them as they had a good plan at a reasonable cost.  He was very good and did excellent work on the building.  He was nice to work with.  He came and went at his own time when he was free.  I would use them again in the future.

    Blue Lake Construction, LLC
Clancy showed up on time to our initial meeting.  We discussed the job in detail and he made several suggestions on how to complete the job.  Not only did we like the ideas he had, but it was cheaper than what we had planned.  He took notes on the job and e-mailed us a detailed  bid in just a few hours.  The crew showed up on the day the job was scheduled to start and were professional and courteous.  We had company coming in so we were on a tight schedule.  Blue Lake worked through the weekend and completed the job two days early.  The driveway come out even better than we had hoped it would and was right on budget.  Clancy was on the job every day and kept us well informed of the progress.  There were a couple of minor changes made along the way which we worked together to resolve.  I've worked with other companies in the past that tend to make decisions for you and tell you about it later (and bill you for it).   I was very happy that Clancy discussed everything with us before any work was done.  Overall this was an excellent experience.  I absolutely recommend this company and will be using them again on future projects!

    G's Concrete Inc
The names of two concrete contractors were obtained from Angie's List.  Both submitted bids.  G's Concrete won the bid not only on price but also for his great customer service and attitude. He was able to complete the project within a week of being notified that he won the bid. His crew was there when they said they would be and completed the job in a very satisfactory manner. There were a few coordination issues with Verizon but they were also resolved satisfactorily. The crew removed the old junction box and installed the new one left by Verizon.  It now sits at grade level within the sidewalk. The also made a couple minor repairs to the existing sidewalk. We are very satisfied with the project results.

    CLIFF HOYT CONSTRUCTION INC
Cliff is very knowledgeable about concrete work. We told him what we wanted and he went to work figuring out how to do the work. From that he made several suggestions on to make the stairs work and minimize cost. After the excavation, they took one day to build the forms and another to pour and finish the concrete. They took pride in their work and made the finished concrete look very nice. (Ignore the retaining wall blocks in the photo, those are mine).
