    THE BLIND GUY - PORTLAND
Rocky Hulm, one of the principals, showed up as scheduled for a free estimate. He was recommended to us by our son and daughter-in-law after doing all the blinds in their new home. After meeting with him and getting great advice on the best solution for replacing blinds with wood shutters, we arrived at an estimate that we felt was fair and gave him a 50% deposit to move forward. He estimated an approximate date for when the shutters would arrive. He suggested we should paint our windows and molding before shutter installations so the new shutters and woodwork would match. The shutters arrived as he estimated. Our painting was completed by then and we set a day and time for installation. He arrived about 20 minutes early, he and his assistant jumped right on the job by moving all the materials into our house. I was impressed with them. They had all the shutters marked already for respective locations and the assistant delivered them to the window locations where they would be installed. Rocky performed installation using professional tools while his assistant worked ahead of him by unpacking the impressive bubble wrap and prepping the shutter mounting units with screws so that Rocky could easily and quickly put them up and screw them into the window casings. We had 13 windows done with shutters. That was a lot of plastic wrapping and bubble wrapping. While shutters were being installed the assistant was cleaning up and moving those materials out of the house into their work van. When they arrived, I asked how long he estimated it would take, which was three hours and it took exactly that amount of time. Rocky and his team were all about getting the job done, doing it right, delivering a quality product and getting it done without any talking on the phone or standing around talking. We appreciated their professionalism and attitude. We are extremely happy with our new shutters. The look from the inside compared to old dated blinds is night and day difference. The appearance from the outside is stunning and it really updated the look of our timeless colonial home. We recommend The Blind Guy of Tigard to anyone looking for window treatments in their new or old home.

    Oregon Blind & Window Cleaning
I completely forgot to add a review for Lewis (Oregon Blind & Window Cleaning) - He is a great guy that does a fantastic job! We had him clean all the wood blinds in our home a year ago, then decided to start replacing all blinds with fabric. He not only did a GREAT job cleaning the blinds, but was more than competitive on price when it came to replacing the downstairs blinds with fabric (top-down, bottom-up).

    Die Hard Blind Services
It went very well. As the work was being finished I showed him a problem with the backing on one of the blinds. He said he would take it to the shop and see what he could do. He wasn't gone an hour when he was back with the blind. He fixed it and didn't charge us for that small fix.

We received the drapes as promised and they look absolutely beautiful. We are very satisfied with the quality of the materials and the fitting is perfect. We have installed the drapes ourselves without any problem at all. The draperies gave our dining room a grand new look! Communications with their staffs were quick and easy. I have been looking for window treatments for a long time, including many upscale brands that are much more expensive. All I can say is that I have received a high-end product at a fraction of the cost of what I have to pay at specialty shops. Highly recommended!

The Doug Hall Drapery & Blind Co
I responded to an Angie's List special for a discount on window shades, including measuring, providing the shades, and installation. In the event, I decided to save money by doing the install myself.
Mr. Hall got back to me immediately, made an appointment and arrived on time. He seemed very willing to spend time answering questions and exploring options to cut costs. The shades were custom ordered and I have not received them yet, so I can"t comment on the quality of the product, but the service was faultless.

    THE BLIND GUY - PORTLAND
I asked for assistance in selecting blinds that would look good, lay well, and be practical and cost effective. Rocky did an outstanding job helping me with my decision making. Previously I had someone else come out and give me a quote for very similar blinds. That person was not helpful with selecting the best blinds and the cost quote was almost double. Rocky noticed we had cats and recommended a product that was less likely to attract cat hair then our current blinds. Rocky came out and installed the custom blinds a couple weeks later and even left several replacement vertical blind strips in case any of ours became damaged in the future.

    Budget Blinds
I'd avoided doing anything with window covering for the first year we lived here because I really didn't want to spend the money and I wasn't sure which windows we really needed them on.  I had Jodie measure several windows (every window in the house that wasn't covered) knowing that we wouldn't order everything right way, just focus on our priority areas and then she would have all of our measurements and know what we wanted when we were ready to add more.  I think I did a really good job of confusing Jodie because when my order showed up and Craig came to install, things weren't quite right.  Craig and I quckly realized that the roman shades were for a room that I wasn't ready to order for yet.  (the rest of the order was great!!).  Craig called Jodie and when she realized what had happened, she got the correct ones on order right away and offered to make me a smoking deal on the others.  Jodie was very professional, I ended up with more blinds than I intended, but they look perfect in I couldn't be HAPPIER.    I will definetly use Jodie again and have already referred her several times.

    Annette's Draperies & Custom Sewing
Absolutely, positively found the right person for the job.  The drapes fit exactly as I  wanted.  When closed, there's a small, uniform gap all along the bottom of the drape and floor.  The drape I had had to be altered when I put up a window quilt and wood cornice over the 6-foot sliding glass door.  The drape fits inside the cornice and is used to cover the rather plain-looking quilt.

    THE BLIND GUY - PORTLAND
They were initally called to repair one blind and then clean a total of four Hunter Douglas Silouette Blinds. However, after looking at the particular model we have, they advised against cleaning them. This particular model has layers glued together, and the cleaning process might have compromised the layers. I was very impressed that they didn't want to take a risk at damaging the blinds. Repair they did was excellent.
