    Artisan Piano Services
Very well. My piano, which is a small good quality grand, was reconditioned by Classic Pianos several yrs ago, and David from Artisan replaced the action then and did a fine job. It was great to have him and Artisan do the above mentioned more recent readjustment, etc. work. The result was excellent incredibly faster/ responsive keyboard action. David is an excellent technician, and in addition he has excellent people skills so he is a pleasure to chat with/ deal with. He is very fair about charging for his services, and on more than 1 occasion has not charged me at all for a follow up visit, and on 1 occasion when I arranged for him to come to my home to tune my piano, he advised me that it really didn't need any major retuning, just a few "unisons" were out which he corrected and didn't charge me for this. All in all, Artisan pianos does great work based on my experience with them.

    LINDA SCOTT PIANOS
I called Linda on a Sunday to arrange piano tuning. I expected to leave a voice mail message and get a call back during the week, but Linda was there and arranged to come tune my piano first thing Monday morning. She was prompt, efficient and had great suggestions. Would recommend and would definitely use again.

    Artisan Piano Services
Artisan Piano Services is an excellent company.  After finding the recommendation on Angies list I called to make an appointment to have my piano tuned and repaired.  I received a prompt call with the very professional David and was scheduled within a weeks time.  When making my appointment I explained that I had a spinett that held sentimental value.  I was told by another local tuner that it wasn't worth repairing, and a cheap low end piano.  David has experience working on this type of piano and encouraged me that it could probably be repaired.  Not only did David arrive on time, was able to completely tune and repair the piano, he was very kind and respectful of my piano and my feelings towards it.  After the tuning and repair were complete my piano was in working order and sounded beautiful for $100. (Angies List discount)  David informed me that eventually the all the little rubber pads would need to be replaced or I would be replacing them one at a time as they broke due to the age of the piano.  He offered an option of replacing all of them at some point.  I told him I wanted to go ahead and schedule that.  He was able to get the materials, return and complete the job the same day.  The additional repair was a big job with a minor price tag.  I'm thrilled and looking forward to many more years with my special piano.

David was very professional, punctual, easy-going, and knowledgeable.   During the original visit he provided various options for restoring parts of the piano vs an entire restoration in order to meet our budget.   He's been doing this much of his life and was obviously very knowledgeable about what needed and didn't need to be done, how the work would be done, etc.  In the end we decided on a full restoration to allow the piano another 100 years of use w/o any major work.  He provided good advice on different options when fixing a few of the broken keys...the keys they found matched perfectly.  He and his team also went the extra mile to research  the original decal -- since it was no longer available they took the time to re-create the original using a stencil.  Throughout the process we received regular updates as to when it would be ready and where they were at in the process.   The final result was perfect - they did an absolute fantastic, high quality job.  It's obvious they take pride in their work .   Could not be more happy.

    DENIS WILKINSON PIANO TECHNICIAN
Denis was so prompt he must have been waiting outside our house to ring the bell! (Kidding...) He has a pleasant, knowledgeable attitude from his years at this tuning profession. All the work was accomplished in three visits (see above) and we were only without the working piano overnight because he picked up the keyboard one day and returned it with the hammers all sanded (or "voiced") early the next day. The one flaw in our pleasure is that we queried him about removing kitty paw prints from the lid of the piano. Well, in trying to help, Denis gave us a bottle of "Cory AllBrite", a solution to be applied sparingly with the requisite clean, soft cloth. You probably guessed it: a smidge of the stuff caused the finish to get cloudy, which no rubbing removes. Denis said he has used it for years and never had a problem with it. He did recommend a couple (antique) furniture refinishers. We will be having one visit us to see what can be done, on our "dime." ;-(
