    Renewal by Andersen of Portland
The crew did an excellent job. They secured the work area so no dust spread to the rest of the house and after the job was done they left the area spotless. Chino and Irving were very courteous and worked hard with no breaks until the job was done. The window and sliding glass door look great! I appreciate what a great job they did.

    Joseph Ketner Construction
Integrity, Quality, Professionalism is what Joseph Ketner Construction is about. From the beginning to the end, everything that Joe promised was delivered on time and with quality - no short cuts in materials or quality of work. From the moment I met him during his first visit to my house for an estimate, I knew that I would hire him regardless of the fact that I had received 4 other bids from other Contractors which were very competitive. After signing the contract to have my house completely re-sided, all new windows installed, new gutters installed and the house completely painted, I never once had "buyer's remorse" and was completely at ease with the decision to use the Joseph Ketner Construction Co. Joe and his entire crew & Office Staff treated us like friends / family and their quality of work showed that. I cannot recommend the Joseph Ketner Construction Co. any higher ! I would NOT hesitate to hire the Joseph Ketner Construction Co. again.

    European Craftsmanship
Fantastic effort! Very communicative, and balanced our desire to balance price with quality of product. We were faced with a daunting list of repairs that we needed for our recently purchased home, including water intrusion behind both siding and cultured stone on the front and sides of our house, water leaking through a deck into our garage, rot repair, water envelope replacement, and installation of a new sliding door. In addition, we needed to remodel our laundry room in order to make it functional. All the work that was performed was performed with the utmost of care and professionalism. I've never been this pleased with services performed with a contractor, especially in this environment when tradesmen / tradeswomen are so flooded with work. Definitely exceeded our expectations!

    M Brothers Construction
M Brothers did an incredible job with our renovations! Our projects were big and important to the value of our home. They came out to give us a bid. We had eight different companies give us a bid for the work and M Brothers were the first to respond and their bid was one of the lower bids. (Several companies never did get their bid submitted.) We chose M Brothers and they managed all aspects of the work during November, December and January. Even in poor weather they were working. They were always on time and left my home clean and organized during the work. The finished product is amazing. They take great pride in their craft and it shows. We were thrilled with the results. On time and on budget.

    Cutting Edge Contracting Inc.
We had 5 competitive bids and they all came in at FAR more expensive than Cutting Edge. We selected them because we understood that the cost of affordable is sometimes a relaxed timeline and greater project management responsibility on our own part. We found that with them, their workmanship was generally very good, but their project management and timeliness was poor. Projects tended to be months delayed and only when you pressed them were they completed. This led to an awkward working relationship. In some cases, this also almost led to damage of some of our materials, like a new front door that sat outside under a tarp for months while it rained, or when we had retrofitting and no siding on our walls yet and it started to rain, and Cutting Edge didn't come to add siding as planned. They came through at the last minute, but it was nerve-wracking. They also had a poor grip of project finance and billed us for things we'd already paid for, so we had to be our own project accountants to prove what we owed. Sometimes the project manager would be unresponsive for stretches of over a week. Overall, we would recommend Cutting Edge as a cost-effective and high quality option, but if we could do it again, to our contract we would add daily financial penalties for not performing on time, and an eventual performance cut-off date that would invalidate the contract. Also we would keep a spreadsheet of all the contracts vs. payments so there would no question of whether we'd done our piece. We're happy when we look at our house now, it looks gorgeous and is well done, and we couldn't have gotten it for the price with anyone else, but it was definitely hard to bear through the months of delays and the financial confusion.

    All Wood Restoration
Cabinets were refinished beautifully and VERY durable (6 months later) they are standing up well and looking great. The front door which has a lot of intricate carving on it was faded and I was leaning towards replacing it. After having it restored I am thrilled with the outcome. For the Floor Peter removed a room seperation railing and feathered in an angular cut piece of hardwood 6 feet long to match the existing HW lines. Carpet on one side & hardwoods on the other. Very well done.

    ROYAL EXTERIORS, LLC
I've been following this company for years and have even cut out the ads in the Sunday Oregonian.  It was finally time to get new windows before winter set in.   I know what my neighbors paid for windows as they have shared that with me.  So, the ads are definitely correct.. I did pay half of what my neighbors paid and got triple pane windows.  And, I should be getting some Energy Trust credits back as well.
The windows are solid and close like the door of an expensive luxury car. I really couldn't be happier and can't wait to see what my heating bills will be this winter since I no longer have drafts from my windows.  I would definitely recommend Royal Exteriors and Alside Windows to any one.

    Metro Lock Service
Lance came over the same day that I called. Dead bolt lock was so old, he could not fix it but had to replace the lock. He replaced it with the same brushed gold type so that it fits appropriately. Then he asked if I wanted the same key for the kitchen door which leads to the garage. While we were at it I pointed to the back door in the garage which could be locked from the inside but had no key. He made the same key for the 3 doors. While he was at it he fixed that back door so it was easier to close. The door was off kilter so it scraped the floor & was hard to close. Even the front door was hard to latch. Now all the doors close easily and all with one key. So much easier for me.

    Johnson Home Improvement

I called this company for an estimate on having 2 living room windows replaced. I wanted to go with larger windows. Glen came out and was on time and very professional.  He was very forthright about the cost of doing this: he told me that we would need both permits and drawings submitted, plus the cost of having all the construction and siding repair and dry wall repair. It was VERY helpful to have this honest information!

One of the windows was stuck and I was unable to open it. Glen actually pulled out the top half of the window while we were talking, put back the offending piece ( a balancer?) and replaced the window, and voila, it works! He told me that they are Milgard windows and in fact still under warranty, and don't need to be replaced.

I can't say enough about the quality of this company, and I would hire them in a heartbeat, if it turned out that I did need new windows. He also gave me helpful advice regarding our French doors. If there was a grade above "A", I would give them that.
