This was my second time for for these procedures.. The colonoscopy was a routine follow-up from the previous one 10 years ago. The endoscopy was a follow-up for the symptoms of Barrett's esophagus. They were very good. They were very patient, very kind and very good. The doctor I had was very good. You have to wait. It is hard to get in. The only problem I had is getting in. They are very popular.

Gastroenterology Specialists did a great job reminding me that is was time for my colonoscopy of the decade (What?! Already?!) I appreciated the persistent reminders, so I not skip this important health screening. Once I made my initial appointment, the well-organized and thoughtful organization made the process a very patient-friendly process. My colonoscopy started with an initial informational meeting with a staff consultant --a nurse, I believe--who took my history, spoke clearly about what I could expect and presented my options for drinking a small ocean in advance of the actual procedeur. She was easy to talk with and took on my questions with plenty of helpful knowledge. I was sent home with an appointment for the colonoscopy set for the following week plus a nice clear set of instructions on the pre-colonoscopy regime. I found the whole process quite painless, and all the staff, from start to finish, to be adept at helping a patient through a procedure that is just naturally not on the top of a person's to-do list.
