  • I appreciate the work that occurred. After they left - things are working - thats always a good sign.
RE: the electrician that was sent - I felt that he had a very good ability to listen to customer needs and be able to translate into (smart/appropriate) 3D electrical solution(s). This electrician also had a very good ability to explain concisely and/or demonstrate well. A+ on listening and application.
On a less than positive note: few little snafus along the way...
    1. The laborer when digging the trench, busted a drain pipe and I had to pay another guy ($50) to replace the pipe, do the install/labor. Would have preferred that the company spring for this as it was their damage issue not mine.
    2. When the electrician was working in the workroom, he created a gouge in my wall by the switch plate about one inch plus long and thick enough as to be quite noticeable on the newly painted white wall. We left it that I would patch it. If he had offered to patch it - I would have preferred that...again as I did not create the damage, damage issue not mine.
    3. When the electrician left, I was quite surprised that he left all of the trash?? He left all of the cardboard boxes from the lighting fixtures, all of the cardboard tubes from the tracks, all of the cardboard boxes from the light bulbs, all of the "little garbage" - the plastic baggies, the twistie ties, everything?? I am much more used to contractors taking their own trash with them. Maybe its just not within their scope/policy at this company? I dont know. Didnt ask. Was just quite surprised at this - that's all - myself coming from a family with family members working in construction (both Brother and Father) , an ex husband working in construction and 3 ex boyfriends all in construction. I very much prefer that construction people take their trash from the job with them. I myself worked in construction for several years and I always had to clean up the jobsite at the end of the job.
Other than these bullet points - I am overall very pleased that everything is working = that's what really matters right?
I would use them again. The people are all very pleasant and considerate.

  • The person I spoke with each time was cheerful, pleasant, concerned, and
professional. They even called me back to make sure that the job had
gone okay, and to make sure I had been helped.

  • Our situation was just one of hundreds reported around the area during our recent winter storm, so I knew immediate service was impossible. I called three area plumbers - Artoff, Accurate Plumbing, and DrainPros -- and was put on their waiting lists. The folks from Artoff called back the next day to set up an appointment. They kept in touch during the day to update me on arrival times - greatly appreciated, since most of the roads were still covered with ice and packed snow. When Matt arrived, he immediately set to work. It was a difficult repair in a very tight, cramped corner of the well house, and the broken pipe was still covered in ice and had to be thawed. It took over two hours, but at the end, water was returned to the house. Matt gave us some tips to keep it from happening again -- and the cost was surprisingly low. Matt was friendly, personable, and professional, and we would certainly use this company again.

  • A severe winter storm caused the water line to the house to freeze, then break. Our situation was just one of hundreds reported around the area, so I knew immediate service was impossible. I called three area plumbers - Artoff, Accurate Plumbing, and DrainPros -- and was put on their waiting lists. The folks from Artoff called back the next day (12/11/13) to set up an appointment, so I called Accurate and DrainPros to be taken off their waiting list. To my surprise, the folks from Accurate Plumbing called back the next morning, just to check if our problem had been corrected. We've never worked with this company before, so it's not like we were a repeat client...and there are still hundreds of folks out there with frozen pipes and other plumbing issues. The fact that they'd take a few moments to call and check back really impressed me. We will definitely consider them for future plumbing jobs.

  • But....Robert did not believe that the sand filter was the cause of our accumulation of water in the lawn. He suggested possibly the curtain drain or the drain field, nothing was done to either of these parts of the system. So it still remains a mystery where the water is coming from but after paying $585.00 we could not afford to check the status of the drain field.
DON'Ts: Originally, over the phone, we accurately described the problem; the work done was as described over the phone; there were no hidden problems that extended the scope of the project. We were quoted over the phone that it would cost $159-$359. The difference was the lower cost would be if we could uncover the sand filter (we could not, but it was only 20and quot; down); the higher cost would be if he uncovered the tank to install flush outs. Well when all was said and done the price was nearly 4 times the lowest quote and almost double the highest quote and paid $585.00. Perhaps this is the going rate, we won't know now but the charges did seem excessive to us.
DO's: In the future, I would prefer to get an estimate in writing that comes close to the original bid +/- 10% or this case we feel we were overcharged for the service performed.
Otherwise we would have given My Plumber straight A's - but price was really a D+ and overall about a C+/B-

  • John has 24 hour emergency service and is very fast and reliable.  He gets the jobs done very quickly.  When he says he is going to be there, he shows up.  He was alert, courteous and well mannered.  We are just very pleased.
