    Westland Home Construction
I want to provide feedback for my recent interaction with Westland Construction. I unfortunately had a long-term water leak that resulted in damage to my home and Westland Construction was recommended by a co-worker. I called and left a message for Antonio. He returned my call quickly and we scheduled a time that would work for both of us to get a quote. The quote was more than fair for the amount of work that would be required. Antonio provided me options for the repair and clearly answered all the questions I had and pointed out several things I didn't even think of asking. Once we scheduled time for the repair, Antonio and his team arrived on time. I was shocked how quickly they attacked the problem and removed the damaged areas. Unfortunately, the damages were greater than expected but even with the additional work, I felt the additional cost was less than expected and fair. Antonio kept me in the loop on the additional damages and potential costs. I was impressed with the level of professionalism and talent his team brought to this project. Antonio, Miguel and Alfredo all had unique talents and work together incredibly well. The team provided suggestions that were much better than my initial vision. For example, he suggested an accent to the shower tile that really made it stand out. My only advice to anyone considering Westland Construction is to listen to their suggestions. They know what they are doing. Although no one enjoys an unexpected expense, I feel I was fortunate enough to work with Antonio, Miguel and Alfredo. If/ when I have a need for a contractor, I will definitely use Westland Construction again and I encourage you to do the same.

    Total Comfort Weatherization
Overall, looks great. We are already saving money on our heating bill. Crew was professional and our sales person was easy to work with. The amount quoted was the amount paid and the value for the dollar is wonderful. Only complaint is that during window installation crew accidently damaged bathroom door and got candle wax from a scentsy that was plugged in on the curtains. Crew acknowledged the errors and immediately replaced the bathroom door, however, we still need to stain the new door ourselves.

It went really well. I was very happy with them. They were very easy to work with. The installers were extremely nice and polite. I had no complaints at all. I was very satisfied. I have recommended them to others.

    Total Comfort Weatherization
Professional, hardworking, good people. My VERY handy (and perfectionist) husband decided this was one job he didn't feel like doing. He took one look at the finished job, smiled and said one word...PHENOMENAL! Thank you, Jaime (lead installer) and Jeremy (sales)! A job well done.

    Total Comfort Weatherization
Perfect. I am writing to thank and commend Total Comfort for insulating our home. Alan was most helpful and knowledgeable of every aspect of the job, and quite a bit else about our home as well. The workers, Carlos and Pamfilla, arrived on time and knew exactly how long the job would take. They were clean, informative, friendly, and neat. Questions arose, and they had multiple answers and let me choose. They installed attic aerators on roof, installed the insulation in both attics, and wrapped the heating pipes. We are actually looking forward to winter to test the work.

    Dr. Crawlspace, LLC
We just purchased a home (built 1982 in Salem) and one of its issues was the crawlspace and its drainage. It definitely needed a new vapor barrier, a good cleaning, a few vent repairs and possibly some retrenching and we needed someone to tell us if anything else needed to be addressed. Dr. Crawlspace was the fourth and last estimate we got and we are SO glad we called them! Their estimator, Chris, arrived on time for his inspection appointment and took his time inspecting and photographing our entire crawlspace. He was extremely professional, friendly and detailed when explaining his recommendations for our crawlspace, using the pictures he had taken. While other companies wanted to install their own drainage systems, Chris explained that our drainage system, while not the best and below the standard of the system they install, would do its job for several more years and that he would recommend simply cleaning the space, putting in a new vapor barrier and repairing the damaged vents. This ended up saving us thousands of dollars. He also recommended adding a high-water alarm, in case the sump failed a great suggestion, which we followed. Chris gave us a detailed, written estimate on the spot, then kept in touch with us the next day as we asked some follow-up questions communication was good and we never felt like an afterthought or a bother. A little more than a week later, their five-person work crew arrived as scheduled at 8 a.m., introduced themselves (Jeff, JT, Nick, etc.), reviewed with us the work they planned for the day, per our estimate/proposal, put on their work uniforms, goggles, etc., and disappeared into our crawlspace. After a few hours, JT came out and gave us a progress report, asking if we had any questions, then went back to work with the rest of his crew who, by the way, sang throughout the day in our crawlspace! They finished about 5:30 p.m. JT took before and after pictures, which office manager April sent us, along with our final bill (very reasonable), within a couple of days. Each staff member's interactions with us inspired confidence that they all knew their jobs and took pride in their work. This was one of the best home repair experiences we have ever had, from start to finish.

    NORTH WEST INSULATORS INC
I called to discuss the possibility of having someone come out for an estimate on work we need done in the crawlspace under our home after it was damaged by a pest control company. We are desperate to get the fixes taken care of because we have three small children in our home and we are approaching cooler weather. It is not currently safe for us to turn on the HVAC system because there is insulation in the ducts from the previous work. The NW Insulators trucks and billboards around town say "free inspections/estimates". I was told that our job was too small and would be a bottleneck and inconvenience to the company and that there was no profit in it for them; they were already too busy and booked up. We had a different insulation company come out to assess the damage and they estimated our repairs to be around $2,180. If you have a "small" job in this ballpark, I would not recommend wasting your time calling North West Insulators unless you are prepared to be belittled. I am leaving a lousy rating for poor customer service.

    Leighs Construction Co
I could not be more pleased with the result of all three projects. I feel like I have a new house. I had ideas about what I wanted but there were a lot of details involved and at times it was overwhelming. Jeremy and all of the people involved were very good at giving me guidance and options without pressure. I was referred to a kitchen designer who was very helpful in reviewing layout possibilities and was able to give me computer renderings as my ideas changed, The sub contractor that refinished the floors, did a beautiful job on floors that had seen some damage. Jeremy gave me the suggestion to use the wood in a bedroom to repair and replace damage in other more central places. Using new wood in the bedroom, he recommended a darker wood border around the new wood so the difference in woods looked intentional. The result was more than expected, it looked beautiful and I liked it so much I had it repeated in the kitchen. People always comment on my floors.ed
The whole team was very helpful, professional and considerate from Diane in the office to Rick who supervised my project. Rick provided me with some lovely custom shelving in my new bathroom and kitchen giving the rooms character as well as vital additional storage. The relatively small problems that I did encounter, were also handled by Leigh's smoothly like the sink that arrived damaged and the refrigerator I ordered the wrong size. I feel like I have a new house and for the most part I do.
This was a big and extensive series of projects and by the nature of it, very disruptive and the folks at Leigh's seem to really understand that and looked to minimize the impact. They advised me on how I should prepare and assisted me in setting up. I think Jeremy and his group are skilled, professional, reasonably priced and go the extra mile. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and I would definitely use them again.

    Rob Miller's Handyman Services

Rob reviewed the job, gave us a bid and scheduled the work. He arrived at the appointed time. He removed the existing wall board, insulated the wall and replaced the old board with new plywood which he cut to fit. He cased the windows and door and calked the areas. He cut the casings and window trim and applied all in a very attractive manner. He does an excellent job of reviewing the job, letting us know what supplies we need to purchase and is accurate in his bid.He is professional in his work and we have been very pleased with all the projects he has worked on for us.

    Aden Roofing
Michael took my $99 where I was promised $400 of insulation work, and gave me nothing. I've done better at choosing contractors by myself than using someone recommended from Angie's list. Angie's list is supposed to provide trusted contractors, vendors, and suppliers and I was scammed.
