    Silver Falls Dermatology
Been going for 4 years. Every year I get a new doctor. This year my new doctor was not available and I had to reschedule. On to another new doctor. He happens to be running late. Asked if I want to reschedule. I say how late is the Dr running? Clerk had to go check, You would think she would have that information at hand. Any way the answer was about 30 minutes. I left with no plans to return. If one does not mind having a new doctor every year, you can be satisfied with this group.

Dr. checked all spots on my face and scalp as I requested.  He reasured me that all were of non-cancerous type. He explained my choices of dealing with the various growths, including an honest assessment of pain level.  Once I made my choice, he proceeded with the treatment and it went just as he described. He also prescribed a shampoo to help with scalp issues. I will return in a year for a checkup.

    Dermatology Clinic PC
Jordan Praytor is a very competent PA and surgery will be painless and effective.
One weakness of this clinic is that for a medical specialty in which the patient is partially or wholly disrobed, the comfort and dignity of the patient seem completely off their radar screen.  I would characterize the behavior of several staff members as being outright derisive.  I always leave the clinic feeling diminished.
A more serious weakness is that the quality of your care depends on whether the staff member likes you or not.

    Ullan, Dr. Amy L.
I first saw Amy Ullan after an unsatisfactory experience with another practitioner in the same office. She is very pleasant to work with, respectful and informative. We have been seeing her now for 6 years and have always been treated professionally and with respect. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything to us. She always takes time to answer our question and let us decide on treatment options.

He does a very thorough skin check once a year for me and twice a year for my husband. So far I have only had one biopsy and it was OK. My husband had more sun when he was younger and he has had several biopsies, spot removals and freezing some skin tags. The staff and doctor are friendly and professional. They make you feel at ease with health cares that could make you nervous.

He explained everything very well to me. He was able to biopsy the mole on my back, and then sent it to OHSU lab for analysis-- the office called me back with results. Most offices will not call you back if the result is positive (i.e. no cancer), but they were kind enough to call me and let me know everything looked fine with my biopsy.
I had to return to his office a few times because my acne was not clearing up with the medications he was trying me on. I did not want to take an oral antibiotic, and he was fine with this. He was able to provide me samples so I didn't have to buy a large supply at the pharmacy of something that wasn't working. We finally found a topical cream that worked.
Overall, I had a very good experience.

    Silver Falls Dermatology
I have been to this office several times. It is a large business with offices in other cities. For each of the last 6 visits I was seen by different care givers. Only being seen by and quot;myand quot; own doctor twice. Each of my exams was Less than thorough, with condescending comments such as and quot;Nothing to worry about.and quot; The exception being Dr. Lear, the surgeon. His work, professionalism and rapport were excellent. Each time I had a biopsie, I was told to expect a call with the results of the test. Out of the last three tests, I was called only on the last one. The other times I had to call. The first time I called explaining that I was assuming the biopsie was clear, since I hadn't heard otherwise. Rapidly, the receptionist rushed to find someone who could call me, as the result showed cancer.

    Ullan, Dr. Amy L.
Amy was attentive and thoroughly checked every area of my body, head and mouth. She also examined an area recently worked on by another surgeon. Her manner was friendly yet professional. She answered all my questions and concerns. I was so impressed that I filled out a form to have my records sent to her office for future reference.

I went online, filled out the forms, walked into the office, and they had a cancellation for that day so I was able to get in. I was seen ASAP. There wasn't a lot of wait time between the nurse and the doctor in the exam room. The exam itself was very quick. He explained things very well, and I was satisfied with his bedside manner and his exam. He did the job efficiently.
