DESCRIPTION OF WORK
I recently noticed a lump in my breast. I scheduled an appointment with Joan Laufer in the Women's Center. She gave me a much more thorough breast exam than my Ob-Gyn's ever have. She felt the tissue was normal, offered ultrasound, and said she wanted to see me again when I was in a better part of my monthly cycle when breast tissue wouldn't be so swollen. I agreed and came again at the appropriate time. She performed another very thorough exam. The lump had pretty much disappeared, and she felt that it was still normal tissue. She instructed me to come back if I noticed anything at all.
