    West Hills Animal Hospital
They are the best Vets around, I've used others and always come back to West Hills. They listen and provide options. They estimate charges. They are sensitive and supportive. They cost more, but are worth it.

They were very friendly and will answer your questions.  It?s just a very nice environment.

They are very thorough and they will go out of their way to find out what?s wrong with your pet.  They care about your animals.

From the moment we checked in the boys were greeted by name, taken outside, while the staff made sure they had all the information needed for medications, food, what the boys were allowed to do and not to do - we have an older cocker spaniel who has some physical limitations - and double-checked phone numbers and assured us that we could call day or night to check on the boys. When we picked the boys up they were fresh from baths, wearing wonderful bandanas, and we received a full report of all that had happened. Both boys fell asleep in the car on the way home!

OK but not great. I took our 14 year old shi tzu for a first time boarding and vet check. We are new to the area so this was our first experience. The staff was very friendly but not reliable. Our dog was having some problems with a sore on his hip and a few other health problems. I asked to have the vet check him out while he was being boarded as he was in some discomfort. They wrote the request on the estimated bill but the request wasn't made known to the boarding staff or veterinarian. He was not examined and when I picked him up a week later his eyes were matted (looked as though his face was never wiped in that week ) and he had chewed his legs on both sides to the point they were raw and sore. We won't use this facility again.

After years of using another local vet, I decided to try Ark Animal
Hospital. They have a great facility that includes boarding. My elder
cat had an exam and round of vaccinations for a fair, typical price. I
also needed to board her and the staff at Ark encouraged me to use one
of the home care pet sitters they are networked into rather than leaving
her to board with them. It was definitely the best choice for my cat
and indicated to me that they made her welfare a priority. I will
continue to use Ark in the future.

We have brought our dog here 2X (friendly lab, 3 yrs). I like that Peggy
checks out the dog personalities PRIOR to accepting a dog at the kennel
(you have to and quot;interviewand quot; first). She asks for proof of shots. I like
that there is supervised play time for 4 hrs during the day. I like that
there is a small pond for water loving dogs to swim in. Our dog seemed
well cared for and she came back to us well exercised (she usually goes
to sleep right after coming home) and relatively clean (not dusty or
smelly). I would board her there again.

I found her totally reliable & trustworthy as well as sensible. She gets all information she needs for emergencies, feeding instructions, & gets to know the animals she’ll be taking care of before you leave so you know your animals are in very good hands. When I came home from my trip, the house was spotless & the dogs were happy.

    Town & Country Animal Clinic
I felt it was expensive for me but probably worth every penny. I have also taken guinea pigs and dogs to see vets at this clinic in the past fifteen years. I was very pleased with the care my guinea pigs received and would recommend this clinic for them.

My dogs are very excited to go. They spend the day running in a fenced field, usually with access to a swimming pond. Nights are spent in an indoor/outdoor kennel. Indoor kennel is heated. She will provide her own food or your food. I have one dog on a special diet and it was no problem. Baths are given at the end of the stay- and I imagine they need them after all the fun they've had. One of my dogs plays well with others and he generally runs around with the dogs at the kennel that also play well with others. My other dog is a problem child: often doesn't play well with others, jumps fences, requires special food. She has always welcomed both dogs and is able to accommodate the problematic one with his own area. We did have an event that required a vet visit. She called us via our cell phone to let us know what had happened. I felt that the post-vet wound care could have been better and my vet was not happy about how her instructions had been followed. Dogs say A+ for fun.

Owner Heidi Sterling runs a first-rate, very professional service. We have always been exceptionally satisfied with her work. She always does a little extra, and is always easy to deal with.
