"Not good: 1. There were two locations for the biopsies. It took two numbing injections in one location and FOUR in another before they were numb enough for her" to begin. 2. Dr.
was supposed to do a punch biopsy and instead used a tool to dig out the skin. It took 1/2 hour for her to do what should have only taken a few minutes. 3. Instead of sitting on a chair, she bent down next to the table where I was laying. I felt she was not steady while doing this procedure. 4. Toward the end of the procedure, the medical student who was assisting her had to leave. I had a friend with me during the procedure and Dr.
asked her to put on a pair of gloves to help her. All I can say is that I'm glad my friend happened to be a nurse! 5. The office staff is inefficiemt.

"The Dr is not friendly, and did not spend much time with me. He didn't listen to anything I said, most importantly that I had been injured in a bad car accident," and had since had severe and chronic pain. He decided the injuries were irrelevant and began with a treatment for migraines only, none of which worked. After the initial visit, I only saw the PA. After trying his prescribed migraine prevention, I had several severe reactions to the medications and left his practice. I've since found out the migraines were from the injuries to my spine and jaw sustained in the accident. Will not recommend him to anyone.

The benefit is not in "choosing" a provider that is listed on AL - it is in using AL to screen potential providers before choosing one by looking at their ratings and reading the reviews prior customers havae posted, so you get a preview up-front of what people like or dislike about them. You can also google the doctors names combined with the word - complaints - to see other blogs and comments about specific doctors - there are also a few medical-specific review sites out there. In dealing with a specialist like a neurologist, your regular general medical provider can also provide recommendations. And be sure if your insurance company requires it (almost a certainty) that you have a referral from your general doctor AND insurance company pre-approval IN ADVANCE of the first visit if you want his/her services to be covered by your insurance.

He was the first doctor after 15 years to listen to me and believe how much pain I was in from chronic migraines. He always researched everything and stayed up on all the testing needed. He took very good care of me and always followed up with my family doctor to make sure I had what I needed.

He's very personal. He's very friendly and caring. He doesn't push things on you. He really seems to care. I've been seeing him for two years or so. I see him every three months.

I am *not* an easy patient's wife to

over. I am my husband's advocate, and I'm not there to
Oregon City Neurologists Provider Name Locked
friends--I'm there to make sure he gets the best medical treatment the doctor can provide. I've fired highly-placed neurologists for not listening, for trying to run roughshod over my husband's preferences. Dr.
Oregon City Neurologists Provider Name Locked
listened with great courtesy, he put my husband's preferences and well-being ahead of his own ego, he volunteered to consult with our former neurologist, and he caught issues that had gone unaddressed in the past.
He's a very dignified, quiet gentleman whose aim is to provide quality and compassionate service to his patients. When I asked about one appointment in which he was running a bit behind, I was told he'd been at the hospital with an emergency patient. The office staff was friendly and gave us a time at which we could reasonably expect to see him...we left for a bit, came back at that time, and were in the office within 5 minutes. They juggle issues quite well, and are very supportive of their doctor, and their patients.
The whole group have my respect. They've earned it.

Dr
Oregon City Neurologists Provider Name Locked
was extremely professional and friendly. Asked questions, listened intently, did physical tests and examination of arms, legs. Had me walk the hall to observe gait. Set up appointment for X-rays within 24 hours. When results were in, she called me and volunteered to call my home and talk to my wife to help her to not worry.

I went to the
Oregon City Neurologists Provider Name Locked
in Amherst for a severe concussion. They were polite, easy to work with, and knowledgeable about my condition. I do not like the wait to see the DR., so I mostly saw his PA. I would definitely return if I needed more services.

He did a nerve conduction test, and not only did I suffer in extreme pain the whole time. It ended up making my condition a lot worse. He did not know how to do this treatment and should have never attempted it with my Complex Regional Pain Sydrome (CRPS).

It did not go well. The Dr. did not ask him any questions, did not show any care, was uninterested and rude. I would not recommend him to anyone. We found a new neurologist that did care and did take the time to understand what was going on. He should give up practicing if he treats all his patients this way.

Beware! I wish we had checked online reviews before my parents went to this doctor. I consult with them on medical issues. If you do check online reviews, you will see that he has been rated below average and poor. Now, we know why!
He was rude to the point that he yelled at my parents. They are the sweetest people and very educated. They tried to explain that they had seen other doctors and inform him of what they had been told. He would not listen and continued to bully and berate them. When the visit had gone completely downhill, they told him that they would not see him again.
This doctor had been rude to my dad on several occasions before the final visit. This time he had family present to verify the unbalanced behavior of Dr.

.
We will never know the reasons for his rude and scary behavior, but can help others to avoid this doctor at all costs. I trust Angie's List reviews and hope that you will too! We have never had this kind of experience before. We admire doctors and this was an unusual experience.
