Everything went well. It was a pleasure working with Amadou. His workers showed up on time, they did the job and cleaned everything up afterward. Workers were kind and respectful. Everything went smoothly and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. I would for sure use their services again in the future.

    Let's Remodel
The website is easy to use and the office is nice and full of samples and ideas for your next project. I was on the fence about what colors and materials I wanted to use, Polina and staff helped me narrow down my choices. The construction staff showed up on time and promptly completed my project. Overall: Loved this power couple! The staff was professional, caring and helped me make the best decisions for my property.

    JR Insulation Drywall
This is an update to an existing review. Angieslist won't let me update the old one. The original work had a few issues. Javier contacted me and offered to fix the ceiling at a discounted rate. The crew did a great job and now the ceiling has no strange lines or warping. Javier definitely follows up on any issues and makes them right.

    ALEX FREDDI CONSTRUCTION LLC
We are very pleased with our new Master Bathroom. We removed a large tub which we never used, replacing it with a custom shower and linen cabinet. In addition, we replaced the vanity, light fixtures, countertop, plumbing fixtures, flooring, etc. Alex was very responsive to our initial inquiry and subsequent questions. It was an expensive project, but the bid was fair and we were given more affordable options when possible, while keeping the quality outstanding. Our Project Manager Gary was easy to work with, kept us informed and kept to the schedule. He was onsite for most of the work and we had no issues with any of the subcontractors. Our bathroom is beautiful, and we would not hesitate to work with them on our next project.

    Wonderman Remodeling & Handyman Services
The project Wonderman completed for us was, at its core, a re-piping project for the 2nd floor of our home. Two years ago, we had a leak on the 1st floor that educated us about the fact that the pipes inside our walls were all PVC, a cheap option used in the 1990s that is doomed to fail. Our homeowner’s insurance covered the three-month remediation when the leak occurred but did not cover replacement of the PVC plumbing – that cost was ours alone. We didn’t have enough $$ to re-pipe the whole house then, and we didn’t want to extend the time we were in a hotel with our 2 cats. So, we only re-piped the 1st floor during the original remediation. Now, two years later, it was time to re-pipe the 2nd floor. We intended to re-hire the same company that our insurance adjuster hired 2 years ago to finish the re-pipe project and to add a couple of upgrades while the bathroom walls were open. But, when we got the bid estimate from that company (a general contractor), the re-piping project cost was so high that not only was there no way to pay for any upgrades, but also the bid cut corners on the re-piping method to meet our budget. For example, it proposed that some of the new plumbing run along the ceiling on the inside of our home, not between the walls, so that there was less destruction and repair of walls to do, and so that a tub/shower surround did not have to be replaced by a new tub and tile surround. That estimate was so disappointing that we decided to seek other bids in case we could at least get the re-piping done between the walls for a reasonable price. We thought about trying to be our own general contractor, by hiring a plumber and a construction repair guy separately and trying to organize their schedules ourselves. Although less expensive, that was too daunting. We wanted a hybrid between a subcontractor and a general contractor – more reasonably priced, still highly skilled, and able to coordinate with one other subcontractor (a plumber) to ensure that the project got done promptly. After combing through dozens of reviews on Angie’s List, and meeting with 3-4 possible options, we found what we wanted in Wonderman. Raoul came to bid the project, and my impression was that he is a strong combination of capable, no nonsense, knowledgeable and articulate. He offered to handle the project either way – as the construction subcontractor (and he would recommend a good plumber), or as the general contractor. He said it would cost more to act as the general contractor, because coordination takes time and time is money. But it was clear that we could save money if we bought any parts and hardware we wanted to have installed (other than the pex pipes that would be provided). His bid to complete the re-piping project as general contractor did not involve any corner-cutting and was substantially less than the other company’s bid. So much so that additional upgrades were affordable, which he was willing and able to do. For the same price the other company was charging to do the job halfway, Wonderman would do the job 100% right and also complete upgrades that would let us SEE some improvement, not just have invisible improvements inbetween the walls. Raoul was willing to restrict work days to the days my husband does not work his graveyard shifts – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday -- so my husband could sleep days he had night shifts He and his workers and subcontractors were on time, clean and respectful. (One minor concern was that no one wore masks, but we never insisted on it, either.) The project lasted from July 14th through August 27th, with a total of 22 work days. Raoul, Gus, or the plumber or tile subcontractor (or a combination) were always reliably at our house between 7:30 – 8:30 AM. They took only a ½ hour lunch, always at noon. They typically left at 3pm, but on some days when they had to stay late to complete something so that the next thing could begin the next day, they stayed up until 6pm. They worked hard the whole time they were there. There were a few notable challenges that they met superbly. One was matching our hand-brocaded ceiling pattern when they repaired holes made to insert new pipes. Gus figured out how to match a pattern that even real estate appraisers in the past had said would be impossible to match. The company we had two years ago (that was so expensive…) couldn’t match it at all. It was like Gus was a “wonderman.” 😊 Another challenge was my request for a pass-through window in a partial wall in the master bathroom, to let the sun through to the vanity area from a real window on the other side of the partial wall. When the drywall was torn off, it was apparent that the partial wall was filled with closely placed studs, pipes, and electrical wiring. It appeared impossible to fit a pass-through in that would allow for any standard sized glass shelves. Raoul figured it out, though, and made it very beautiful. Another challenge was the 3/4” thick glass shower door I bought to have installed. Raoul had to add wood to studs in the wall to ensure it was installed in a way that would not be compromised over time, but he did it with a smile. Another challenge was creating a vent to the roof for a bathroom exhaust fan that had never originally been in the master. It took an extra day to figure out, but they did it very well. While I can’t say that communication was perfect, I can say that it was immensely better than the communication we’ve had with other contractors and subcontractors, both ourselves and on behalf of our parents. I got about 75 – 80% of my email and text questions answered, within 12-24 hours. Raoul was always professional and friendly, and accommodated add-on requests for work up to the very end. We are beyond thrilled with the final results. See the before and after pictures. I recommend Wonderman whole-heartedly. If you are seeking an honest, reasonably priced, skilled person for anything from handyman work to general contracting, I don’t think you can do better than Wonderman. We will absolutely hire him again for all of our future projects.

I had a leaking roof and needed to get a new one quickly. Lo's Contracting had the best bid and time frame. I'm happy with the end result however it was a bit a fiasco. When putting on the roof there was a bad rainstorm at night and only the underlayment was down at that point. Water came in through almost every room in the house. As you can imagine, I was freaking out! However, I was able to get a hold of one of the workmen who called it in and everyone came out that night around 8pm in the dark and rain and put tarps over the entire house. They brought in huge de-humidifiers the next day and had them running for a few days which seemed to dry everything up. (Lo's Contracting paid for the extra electricity that the de-humidifiers used). They also replaced the insulation in the attic crawlspace at no cost. Three years later there was a leak around one of the nails and pipe collar on the roof, which reading up on does happen(not sure if it should happen after 3 years(that's why the B...but) Amadou was quick to check it out the same day I called and then sent someone as soon as their schedule allowed, a couple days. I appreciate them fitting me in to the schedule and responding so quickly and apologetically. They also cleaned my house after all was done. Amadou, the owner, and Marlon and his team were great to work with, friendly and fixed a couple little things that weren't on the bid at not cost. I would hire again - I'm just not doing anything during the rainiest months of the year again!

    MoldEaters
I had a very good experience with this company, from the quote derivation process all the way to mold remediation project completion (which included reconstruction of the impacted area - in this case the utility closet and flooring/subflooring adjacent to that room). The team was hardworking, effective, and committed to the terms of the contract to get the job done!

Rick did an outstanding job. Not only was he knowledgeable, fast and efficient, he was also an excellent listener and funny! The installation was easy and flawless, and it came in under the bid price. We enjoyed having him in our home, and will definitely hire him back again!
