    GT Pressure Washing
Very well. Our house has not been pressure washed for several years. When Tim finished it looked as though we had a new paint job. Walks and driveway never looked so good since they were installed over 20 years ago. He was a great guy to work with.

At a time when it was difficult to find a contractor who could either respond in a timely way or give a competitive price, White Sand got back to me quickly and with an affordable estimate. They were able to start promptly and completed the job quickly (even despite bad weather). Their crew was professional, courteous, and unobtrusive. The completed work was impressive, of better quality and appearance than I was even hoping for. I will definitely be using White Sand the next time I need a contractor, and recommend them to anyone looking for quality, affordable help. I'm also pleased to support a family business that has its roots in my local community.

Roger has done various improvements on our 1940s cottage over the past three years. He is kind and easy to work with, he guarantees his work, he is good at solving problems on irregular old houses, and he has taught me a lot about home maintenance. He is great :)

    M Brothers Construction
Oleg Malofeyev and his brothers did an exceptional job in replacing our old decks.  Oleg was very helpful with the design of the new decking and provided material samples as well as suggestions that we visit the showroom of his supplier.   In order to provide the best support in changing the decks from cedar to PVC, they added additional joists to develop 8"centers instead of keeping the 16" centers. That increased structural support allowed a solid base on which to lay down the solid PVC decking.  In demolishing the boards from one deck, the brothers discovered extensive dry rot in the glue lam that supported the deck joists.  They needed to be very creative in removing the defective glue lam and replacing it with a new chemically treated beam.  Replacement of the beam was not in the original bid for the job, but since they didn't have to add a new layer of siding to the house adjacent to the decking, they offset the two items and honored the original bid price.

The brothers were very professional, prompt and well disciplined in doing the job and we would hire them again in a heartbeat.

As a side bar, we had employed the M-Brothers around fifteen years ago to replace our synthetic stucco house siding with Hardiplank. When we discovered that they also did decking, it was an easy choice to tap there services again.  Our only reason for reducing their "responsiveness" rating above was their lack of returning to shim up the newly placed joists against the support beam.  They eventually did return and complete the shimming job to our satisfaction.

    Giron Roofing Inc.
Over all this was a great experience.  We had all of our siding  replaced, new gutters installed and a new roof and of course the painting.  The crews were polite and worked really really hard.  Cleanup happened every day.  Every time We turn into the driveway we smile :)  It feels like we are turning into a new house.  We highly recommend this company, fair prices, high quality materials and skilled workers.  Thanks Giron!!

    Square Deal Construction Company, LLC
Perfect from beginning to end.  Terry called me shortly after I left a message describing the work to be done.  He came to look at it the next morning and was able to schedule the job within a few days. Ward & Matt showed up promptly at 7:30am as scheduled and not only did a fabulous job, but spent a lot of time applying tape/plastic surrounding the work area to prevent dust.  We are extremely impressed with the professionalism and personable and gracious demeanor of Terry and his staff. Now that we know a contractor we can count on, we're looking at a lot of other projects that need to be done here and will not hesitate to hire them again...and again...and again!

    DaBella - Portland
We ordered new siding through DaBella. When we ordered the product, we were notified that after all measurements were taken, that the product could take a couple weeks to arrive. We were fine with this but did let the salesmen know that we would be leaving on vacation that month so the installation needed to be complete before our departure. The siding installation was complete a few days before we left, however, the garage door repairwas performed by a different contractor and was done the day before we left. I was uncomfortable with the timing, considering we had let the company know several times that we would be on a specific time frame. The contractor called me the morning of installation and let me know that the worker was running behind as he had encountered some traffic picking up the door and parts. He was supposed to arrive at 9 am. He arrived at 3 pm. I had waited the entire day for him and had work that I could no longer put off so I had to leave him working on my house. He seemed put off that I was leaving. He was gone when I returned home later that afternoon. We left for vacation the next day. The contractor called me three times but did not leave a message. On his fourth call, I answered. He said that because I wasn't home when he finished the work, he did not get his paperwork signed. I explained that I had waited all day for him to arrive and that I was in Disneyland and unable to sign any paperwork for him. He got angry and said that he wasn't going to get paid until he got signed paperwork from the home owner. I told him I would have to deal with it when I returned in two weeks. He was less than happy with my response.
The installation of the siding itself went smoothly. The two man crew was very competent, professional and punctual. They kept my house and yard very tidy and did their best to be careful around my garden area. They even bravely fought a hidden nest of wasps during installation. My only complaint is that they did not properly install the stairs off my back sliding glass door. They rested the stairs against the house but did not secure them to the house. My husband stepped onto the stairs, which slid away from the house and fell down. I called DaBella and they sent the crew back the following day to finish the repair. This could have been a very serious incident and a disappointing moment of their service.
All in all, DaBella has been a good company to work with. Aside from a few issues with their sub-contractors, they are punctual, professional and hard working. The materials used are great quality and I would do business with them again.

    Straightline Exteriors
As far as we can tell, the siding looks good and we are pleased with the result.  The project manager was good to deal with throughout the process.   When we were seeking bids, Straight Line was extremely professional and gave us a very top notch presentation.  That, combined with the pricing, were the reasons we decided to use them.
But we had a big bump along the road....
The work was originally scheduled for late June, but had to be pushed back due to their schedule.  Unfortunately, the first couple of days of their work intersected with the last couple of days of our vacation and we were out of town when they began.  I will NEVER do that again -- with them or any other contractor.  On the last day of our vacation, we received a call from the project manager saying that his crew showed up in the morning to work and saw that our house and shop (a separate outbuilding) had been broken in to.  The doors had been pried open with a crow bar (conveniently, an item being used to demo the old siding).  Several items had been stolen from our home including both TVs, a brand new lawnmower, and several items that belonged to my dad who is no longer with us and are, frankly, irreplaceable.
While it hasn't yet been proven by the sheriff's office, it is very difficult for us to not conclude that the break in was related to the siding work.  In 25 years of existence, our neighborhood has never had a break in.  We were shook up and our neighbors were shook up.  Someone was in our home, in our 18-month-old's bedroom, in every room in our house, going through our things, our file cabinet, our drawers.  We feel violated and it has marred our whole experience with the siding.
Otherwise, there were several annoyances like the crew playing extremely loud music from their truck, working at our house until 7:00 or 8:00 at night, leaving cigarette butts around the yard, etc. that we probably wouldn't have worried about except we were so rattled by the break in that it just added a whole nother level to the project.
So, despite their professional presentation of the bid and the amiable project manager, we are glad to have our property back to ourselves and the siding project completed, and we hope the person that broke in to our home is caught ASAP.

The siding on one whole side and a couple of other sections of my house needed to be replaced. Unlike some other contractors, Starkey didn't try to oversell me, replacing only the parts that were damaged. They removed the siding and underlayment and did a great job; making it better than new. The guys were on time and finished the work in short order. The work site was cleaned up, leaving no parts or mess behind.

    Northwest Siding & Windows
NW Siding was great to work with and did an excellent job.  They worked with us around scheduling to coordinate with some concrete work, gutter replacement and vacation!  The siding crew and the painting crew were all very courteous, professional and cheerful.  They arrived promptly each day and cleaned up daily before they left.  We had just had new concrete installed and they carefully covered it to protect it.
Alex (siding crew leader) and Jack (paint crew leader) check with us about details and were great about making sure we were happy with everything.  For example, they had finished the siding on one side of the house when we decided that we didn't need a vent (that they had carefully trimmed around), and they went back and re-did that section.  One corner board was painted three times in three different colors before we decided which looked best.  They were great throughout and cheerful about working through these details. The finish quality is excellent (although we aren't siding experts), it seems everything is flashed and sealed and we have yet to find even one drop of paint splatter.
The house looks so good, we are now getting an estimate to have the crew come back to paint our gazebo to match.
