    James Tycast MD
Dr. Tycast prescribed a much stronger (and much more effective) antibiotic. He also explained that the elevated PSA often is an incorrect measure when there is a bladder infection. He was able to quickly resolve the infection and follow-up tests resolved the PSA count situation. I received quick physical relief and quick mental relief from his care.

    Schieber, Dr. Scott E.
I really liked Dr. Schieber. He is very friendly and engaging, and seems to understand my plight of aging (I'm 57) but want to keep active. He gave me a cortisone shot for my elbow, and referred me to physical therapy for my elbow, and to a podiatrist for my foot. Only one visit so far, but I am was very satisfied. He may be hard to get as your physician however, as he has a full roster of patients already.

.Bladder cancer is not cureable, but can be controlled by careful and frequent treatment as required.  This treatment has been ongoing for more than 13 years and I would call that a success. I expect that it will be ongoing for the remainder of my life and I will die some day from a common cold...or something less!   My appointments have been as often as 1 year apart to as often as 3 months apart depending on activity of the cancer.   I have had several O-R operations over the years and many Dr. office treatments.

The doctors office recently converted to electronic patient files.  Their new system requires the office to scan insurance cards into it.  My son had an appointment last week but only had one insurance card with him at the time.  The office had both cards in his physical file.  They only scanned the one card he had and added it to his electronic file.  The office didn't make any comment about it or ask him to bring his other card.  Now we've run into all kinds of problems as a result because they're new system only shows him as having the one insurance.  This is one of multiple problems we've had with their office managment in the last year.  Their priority, in my opinion, does not appear to be to take care of their patients.  They change their system, but don't make sure their patients information is all tranferred.  The office told me they expected their patients to give them all the information that was required.  If my understanding is that they had all the information in our file then why would I think to give them information I thought they already had!?

    George Kiser MD
Our criticism is only in relation to prostate cancer biopsy and consultation. My sweetie had rising PSA & went to Dr. Kiser who performed a prostate biopsy, which was very painful. We’ve since learned there are methods to mitigate the procedure which were not performed. (See Bob Marckini’s book: “You can Beat Prostate Cancer.”) Dr. Kiser was surprised to learn it was painful. The biopsy did show prostate cancer and Dr. Kiser went down the list of options, ultimately recommending cyrotherapy (freezing) which was his specialty. He said it would leave my sweetie impotent but that there were ways to deal with that—pumps, etc. We left shaken and discouraged and began researching. As Dr. Kiser had said, there are nearly a half dozen treatments, equally effective at cure, but widely varying in side effects. But Dr. Kiser did not even mention the treatment we finally selected—proton radiation therapy—and was disapproving when he heard our decision. Two-and-a-half years later, my sweetie is healthy, continent, and with no sexual side effects.

    Ullrich, Dr. Robert J.
I injured my back. Dr. Ullrich got me in to see him the first day. He did a thorough examination and decided to send me in for an MRI and an x-ray. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory medicine and the application of heat to the injured area. After a few days, I was not getting better so he referred me to a specialist. His nurse called the specialist's office and asked them to call me for an appointment time and let them know I would bring in a copy of the MRI and x-ray. Dr. Ullrich is always professional in his manner and is willing to answer any questions I might have for him. He checks online to be sure he is giving me the latest information on medications. He does not hesitate to make a referral to a specialist when it is necessary.

    Flora, Dr. Timothy L.
She is pain free, back on her feet, and very happy to have avoided surgery. She will go back to Dr. Flora if any follow up is needed. The experience exceeded her expectations.
