    Chimcare
We've had leakage around our chimney for the past 3 years resulting in 2 different companies making repairs (one of which was Top Hatter who is now out of business). Their work was literally terrible; took us for thousands and left us with repair work that was amateurish and ineffective. They used caulk instead of mortar in repairing the bricks, didn't repair the flashing properly, using some type of black ****, put the roof flashing over the chimney flashing and much more. The result was that an analysis by Chimcare showed we needed to rebuild our chimney from the roofline up. The persons who came out to do the rebuild were Igor and his assistant. I have never seen technicians this organized and work so hard. They were right on time, worked like crazy the whole day and came back the next day to finish the job. It was outstanding. The workmanship was exceptional. Igor is one fantastic employee. He not only does terrific masonry work, but explained everything that he did and made sure I was satisfied with the work. He even showed me pictures of the final product so I could better see what he had all done. We are planning to have him come back in the future to do more masonry projects. After our experience with other chimney companies, it was a pleasure to have a professional organization like Chimcare do the work. Our only regret is we didn't contact them first several years ago. Highly recommended.

    Bridgetown Chimney and Masonry LLC
Our chimney is about 60 years old and was in need of significant repair. Bridgetown gave us a very clear estimate of what needed to be done, with a couple options. We ended up having the upper portion of the chimney taken down and rebuilt, plus some maintenance on the lower portion of the chimney. The crew arrived on time and did the work in a very timely and professional manner. We were especially impressed with how all members of the crew seemed to genuinely want to do a good job and ensure that we were happy with the work. They made sure we knew what was going on and that all our questions were answered. They did a few extra things along the way without any extra charge. I would recommend them to anyone.

    The Wall
The Wall's in-house crew built a patterned-block retaining wall (with drainage system) and steps in my backyard, and they did an excellent job. Challenges faced (steep driveway and limited work space and staging area) didn't deter. Throughout the project the crew carefully protected structures, such as a deck and fencing, and landscape plantings. When the job was done, they left the job site immaculate. I'm so glad I chose this company. They did beautiful, quality work. They were also very easy to work with and accommodating. Highly recommend!

    PORTLAND CHIMNEY AND MASONRY INC
The crew was very thorough, and did a very high quality job. The job took longer than the estimator had anticipated, but the crew did not rush the job. They even took care of some extra problems (decaying top coating on the shoulders of one of my chimneys) that the estimator had not enumerated, all still within the contracted price. The team worked diligently through a record-setting heat wave. Everyone that worked on my house was courteous, and cleaned up carefully after the job was done.

    Euro Masonry LLC
Very responsive. Came quickly, spent considerable time examining the patio and going over options with me. Careful explanations without any hard sell. Told me I could apply sealant myself rather than having him do it. Quickly provided an estimate. We decided to hold off doing the repair but I will definitely contact Jozo should we decide to go ahead in the future.

    Euro Masonry LLC
The wall is fantastic, built with great skill.  I have very high standards and Euro Masonry met them. They showed up on time review the project, make the proposal and completed the work as scheduled. They came every workday until the job was done. I hope to use them again for future projects.

The price was in-line with the other proposals. There was considerable effort getting the material from the driveway to the build location.

    Tom Payne Masonry Inc
Tom responded quickly to our request for a quote. He visited our home and discussed our mailbox ideas and went over the plan thoroughly and made his recommendations. We have been making improvements to our newly purchased 1992 built home for six months and worked with many contractors.; we found Tom to be one of the best we had the pleasure of employing. He was responsive, price competitive, knowledgable, directed us to a brick supplier to choose our brick, and for a bonus has a good sense of humor. :-). Mailbox looks terrific!

    The Wall
We contacted The Wall in late July, 2015 and Rick, the owner, came out to survey the project and give us a bid. We were told that they had several projects in the pipeline and would most likely be late August before they could get our job started. We were contacted in late August with a start date the week  of Sept. 7th. Chris, the project manager, came out and laid out the plans for the forms, landings, etc. One caveatt was that they had to form up against boulders lining one side of the walk and maintain a 3 ft. wide step top to bottom with 1/4" drop in each step for proper drainage. A daunting task. After the forms were built, but before pouring started, we called Chris back out with questions about the visual effect. He explained why they had to do certain things to work with the lay of the land and asssured us we would be pleased. The day the concrete truck arrived it was a treat to see The Wall crew do their magic. They worked together like a well oiled machine moving steadily from top to bottom. Chris was in his General Patton mode working the concrete himself as well as overseeing what everyone was doing. We were most pleased with the personell, the work, and the final product. We will use them again when a retaining wall in the back is to be replaced.
    Sincerely,
    Bill and Sharon Lamberth

    Superior Chimney Services Corporation
It was a very good value. They came out like they said, they worked with my realtor since I am out of state currently. They did a very thorough report and informed me of what needed to be done in order to get the chimney up to safety standards. The estimate was reasonable to rebuild the chimney and fire box. I haven't used them and the sellers are getting other bids as well, but I thought they were very fair and were happy with their quick response and promptness.

    Northwest Outdoor Living and Landscapes
Bret was wonderful to work with.  He came to our home a couple of times before he started.  He spent time with us mapping out a plan to replace our existing pavers with new ones and re-shape our entryway to make it wider and safer.  We also installed stairs and a pathway down to a setting area. We had a little seating area that was done by our gardener.  He had leveled it out and put down quarter minus rock. We cover up the rock with an outdoor rug and used it as a patio.  Within a year it started to slope and deteriorat.  Bret came up with a plan that made it bigger and gave us a lot more ways to use the space and fit more people.    Our entryway was real odd the way it was shaped and sloped.  Water always pooled in the middle where water ran down the driveway.  Due to the original pavers( that were never properly installed in the first place) we had drainage problems that caused some damage to our basement. Our home is on a very steep lot so there were a lot of challenges along the way. Bret's crew totally redirected the water to drain efficiently and effectively away from the house.  We wanted to wait until we had a few good rains before we left comments on Angie's List just to make sure everything worked.  At Bret's suggestion we used larger pavers instead of the small ones. We are so glad we listened. It looks so good and we could not be happier.  He was also very accomidating when we came up with a few design changes along the way.
His crew was excellent.  They came on time, they worked hard all day and the foreman was always so polite and willing to answer any questions we had.  We have done a lot of work on our home (it was built in 1970) and I can't remember ever having a project go so smoothly.  All Natural Landscape was recommended to us by one of our neighboors that had their driveway redone with pavers.
Bret wasn't the cheapest, but he certainly wasn't the most expensive quote we got either.  We never felt any pressure from him after he gave us a quote.  We had one company that kept calling wanting us to make a commitment. We didn't use him because his quote was not detailed enough.  It's important to have that detail so you don't get shocked by having to do a bunch of upgrades for things you thought you were included.
