Very pleased with Colin! Great work and all completed on time, just as he said. Colin also communicates well, and his workers were all polite and friendly too. I plan to hire Colin again for future projects.

    Ehsan's Interior Remodeling LLC
Ehsan and his crew completely remodeled a one-bedroom condo for me, installing new flooring, a new bathroom and a new kitchen. The unit was in very poor condition, but they made it look new again from top to bottom. They completed everything on time, on budget and the quality of the work is excellent. Even better, working with Ehsan was a delight. He was professional, responsive, patient, and provided many design suggestions that resulted in a finished product that I couldnt be happier with. This was particularly important for this project because a challenge Ehsan and I faced with this remodel is that I live in a different state. This meant that I needed someone I could trust and Ehsan acted with integrity throughout. I always felt like the property was in safe-hands even though I didnt meet Ehsan in person until the end of the project (we communicated by phone, text, and email). Amongst other things, Ehsan and his crew installed: new cabinets and a new quartz countertop in the kitchen, new vinyl plank flooring in the living areas, new tile on the bathroom walls and kitchen backsplash, new heaters, new light switches, new fixtures, new sinks, new doors. Everything looks flawless. Prior to working with Ehsan, I solicited multiple quotes from different general contractors. Some I found online and some were recommended by Portland friends. I excluded the ones that werent licensed and bonded (Ehsan provides his CCB# on all communications), and excluded others that werent able to begin work for several months (Ehsan juggled his schedule and began work within a week). I then used my previous experience with smaller remodeling projects, HomeAdvisor and other websites to price each individual component of my remodel, and compared this research to the remaining itemized bids. Ehsans bid matched my research. Even better he responded quickly to my communications and didnt seem phased by any of the logistical issues associated with remodeling a condo in a shared building with limited parking vs a single-family home. All in all, Ehsans Interior Remodeling gets two thumbs up from me. The company really went above and beyond and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

    Vesta NW Remodeling, LLC
We had a wonderful experience with Vesta Remodeling NW, from initial consult to completed kitchen. Each member of their team was not only professional and skilled, but also gracious and accommodating. Every kitchen remodel comes with a few hiccupsthings beyond anyones controland when these hiccups occurred, Vesta was quick to alleviate the problems and get things back on track. Unlike a lot of other contractors, Vesta bent over backward to respect and manage our budget, offering us tips and options to save money without compromising quality. Our completed kitchen is exactly what we wanted. Thanks to their hard work, we now have a beautiful, comfortable space where we can more easily host family and friends. We will definitely hire them again in the future.

    On The Level Remodeling Co.
I was trying to think of the perfect word defining how it felt to work with On the Level Remodeling. And it is integrity. Zandy Butler has the expertise, judgement, and true grit to guide you through the remodeling process. His thoughtful, considered way of approaching his work, makes it easy to collaborate. His subcontractors are the cream of the crop, dedicated professionals. When an upstairs addition by a former owner caused structural and plumbing complications, there was added cost and a very minimal time delay, but other than that, we were on time and on budget. Whew! And the outcome? I couldnt be happier. I absolutely love my gorgeous new kitchen.

    C McNearney LLC
Charles and team are amazing! This is the second time we've worked with him, and he didn't disappoint. We needed to do a major renovation of our kitchen to accommodate family members with disabilities. We had fairly specific design requirements, which involved raising the ceiling, adding structural support to one wall to create an archway, and adding another wall to allow for more cabinet space. After signing the contract with Charles, we realized we also needed to have our entire plumbing infrastructure replaced because of rusty pipes. We scheduled the plumbing work to happen before the kitchen project began so it wouldn't be an issue with the new appliances. The plumbing work left us with holes in the drywall in several rooms, plus a bathroom that needed to be gutted and rebuilt. Charles was amenable to adding the bathroom remodel to the kitchen contract--and we were amazed at how he was able to fit all of the additional bathroom work into the original kitchen schedule. Work finished on the exact date he'd targeted. He was also very accommodating of us in several other instances where we basically grew the scope of the project as it progressed. We are thrilled with the results and are planning to have him do a couple of smaller projects once we get our kitchen unpacked. Charles has two major strengths as a contractor that have made us want to hire him multiple times. The first is that he is an excellent craftsman. He is able to think through complicated designs and then execute them impeccably. The second is that he stays on top of every detail of the project and runs it like clockwork. Once work starts, he doesn't stop until it's done. His subs clearly value working with him; they show up exactly when they are supposed to and keep at it in order to finish in time for the next phase of work. Even when Charles isn't on-site while subs are working, he knows the exact status of their progress and keeps things moving until everything is finished. Charles is often booked out several months, but he is worth the wait!

    Lamont Bros.
The experience exceeded our expectations from our first call to Designer Daniel Birch, who immediately visited our home and soon offered us an very complete written bid, to the completion of the remodel. We were given an exact schedule of work to be done each day and, prior to beginning, Daniel introduced us to the Remodeling Superintendent for our job, Joseph Tauscher, a mont employee with experience in tiling and such remodels. He explained that the firm selects employees to oversee jobs in which they have the most experience. He personally, with the help of assistants, performed all the tile work. Each day he informed us of work to be done the next day. He visited the job when sub contractors, a plumber and a glass installer, and informed them of work to be done and later inspected to make sure it was done to our satisfaction. He worked closely with us throughout and was always available to us by phone, if we had questions. He spent a lot of extra time bringing us various shower heads to try as the one we first selected was unsuitable. We are extremely pleased with the wonderful work that was done, which included removing a bath tub, tiled walls surrounding 2 sides of it, down too studs, and building walk in shower with walls tiled to the ceiling. plumbing was changed to accept a hand held, adjustable height, shower and a built in tiled seat and safety bars were installed. We highly recommend Lamont Brothers.

    REF Construction
We hired Ryan a 1 years ago tho do a complete kitchen remodel and Master Suite down to the studs. He and his crew did a phenomenal job. Ryan and his employees have a Customer first philosophy which was a pleasure to work with. In addition his subs did a great job, and had a similar philosophy. We we introduce to each of the subs working in our home. The bathroom remodel we just had him do, was a very small job for REF, but Ryan took it on because we were a prior customer. Once again Ryan, his employee Sean, along with his subs did a great job. They performed this small job just as they had for the much bigger remodel. We had a great prior experience, and we were curious if REF would provide the same attention to detail in this small remodel, and whether they would provide the additional time to address the small changes we asked for. Once again REF did everything we asked for, and the project came in on budget and on time. We would unconditionally recommend REF to our friends.

    BSC General Contractors Inc
Bryan responded very quickly to my inquiry about the bathroom addition. He requested that I call him back to discuss the project. When we spoke on the phone Bryan was very upfront and honest about the project and his company's ability to take on an addition; stating that this was the type of project his company used to do, but with the economy not so much anymore. I really appreciate Bryan's honesty and professionalism. He did not want to make us feel that we were being brushed off; which can happen often with contractors especially when your project is out of their range. Bryan also offered some suggestions to help us find a contractor that would be able to do the project for us. Angie's List misled us into believing that BSC Construction is a company that can do additions when we were searching for companies to fit the needs of our project. Just be aware of that when searching Angie's List for this kind of project. Unfortunately we can't use BSC for our project but with the kind of professionalism we saw, we will definitely be in contact with Bryan for other future projects.

    REF Construction
Ryan responded very quickly to my inquiry about our bathroom addition project. Unfortunately REF does not do additions in that they add to the square footage of the house, which is what we're looking for. Angie's List misled us to believe that this is something REF can do when searching for companies that work on home additions. Just be aware if you're looking for this service. REF sounds like a great company to work with, they just weren't right for our project.
