I really tried to give this guy my business. I gave him a date when I needed the work done, he said he was on vacation and to call him after. That's fine, but when I tried to nail him down for an appointment, here was his response- You seem very strict and bossy. I have so many people emailing and calling me everyday. I have it written down. Thank you and have a terrific day, Mike Dunn - Owner M. T. Dunn Plumbing So, I'll find someone else to do the work. It's hard for me to understand how people get any business acting like this-

After finding the knob he thought would fit, Terry mailed it to me priority mail with the understanding that if it did fit I would pay him $10 for the part and $5 for shipping, which I was happy to do.  Unfortunately, the package was not shipped to my correct address and was returned to Rose City.  Because of illness, the package was delayed again.  I received it today, it fit and I called Terry to confirm the $15 charge, but he said he was not going to charge me anything for the knob.  Terry gave me excellent customer service--beyond my expectations.  Because of his tenacity, my cook top has an extended life.  I recommend Terry at Rose City highly, if you are having problems finding parts for old appliances.  Thank you, Terry!

It was fine. They were able to fix the refrigerator, but the microwave has to go to microwave heaven. He was nice, straight forward, and it went very well. They guy was really honest with me, he said it could be a really simple fix or it may not be. Thank goodness it was.

    Preston Tv & Video Inc
I initially took the CD player to another shop. They told me that it couldn't be fixed because it was old and parts weren't made for it anymore and that I might as well throw it away. The player was very expensive at that time. I then took it to Preston TV and Video and said that they might be able to fix it. A couple of days later, they called back and informed me that it was ready. They barely charged for it - I believe it was just the minimum. I was impressed. They're a small, non-corporate store yet they knew what they were doing. They were friendly as well.

When I called to make the the appointment, it was explained that the price for the service call included 30 minutes of labor. If repair time exceeded half an hour, the cost would be charged by the quarter hour. The Angie's coupon was applied toward the service call. I appreciated knowing the financial terms up font and then could estimate accurately what the labor cost would be. Brandon arrived within the scheduled time frame and called ahead to let me know he was 10 minutes away. Brandon explained what the problem was and the probable fix. He replaced the worn out part and was finished within 30 minutes. The next morning I expected to see a full ice bucket and was concerned about the few cubes produced.. I called the office and was told Brandon was on the road; they would contact him and get back to me. The office called back with information that the monitor would take about 48 hours to get into cycle; if I didn't have a full ice bin then, to call back. 48 hours from the time Brandon completed the repair, I had a full ice bucket. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional and I will use Appliance Guys again as the rest of my appliances wear down and age out.

After a kitchen remodel, the old disposal didn't want to work.  The next morning, I started e-mailing for quotes, and Larry answered within minutes.  The price he quoted was better than anyone else, and he was very responsive.  He had an opening for the next day, and arrived exactly on time.  Within 45 minutes the work was done, and my new disposal is working better than the old one ever did.

Called on Friday, set up the appt. for Saturday. Repair person was on time and courteous. He got right to the job and completed both the refrigerator and garbage disposal within 90 minutes.
I used a coupon from Angies List, which they honored. Overall cost seemed in line, but not sure about the replacement part...$80 for a ceramic part that took all of 2 minutes to replace. I bought the garbage disposal myself at Lowes, so total cost for both was actually closer to $400.

    A & P Appliance
My built in microwave and my refrigerator both stopped working. I called A&P appliances on a Tuesday, and set an appointment for late afternoon on Thursday.  The repairman arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with the refrigerator as a burned out circuit board, which he quickly replaced.  The microwave had a leaking magnetron, which could not be fixed in my home. He removed the microwave from the wall, took it to the shop for repair, and reinstalled it about a week later.  Both appliances are still working fine about 3 months after the service.

Contacted the manufacturer who got me in touch with this company for a warranty repair on my mirohood. I let the repair company know I had lost my receipt for the item and discussed if we could still do a warranty repair with the evidence I had purchased the item within the year. The office indicated my evidence, a claim ticket on the box, and a print out from my credit card company would be sufficient so we scheduled an appointment with a tech. The tech was late the first day, there had been some confusion about the time he was supposed to arrive. We thought he was supposed to be here in between 10am and 12pm. He was actually scheduled to arrive between 11am and 1pm. The tech arrived around 1:30. The tech was not comfortable doing the repair with the evidence that the microhood was purchased in the last year so we decided to reschedule. This was frustrating as I felt I had cleared with the office that they would be able to make the repair with what evidence I had. I was able to contact the store I purchased the item from and they faxed me a copy of the receipt. I scanned this and emailed it to the office and they, again, cleared the repair and rescheduled. The office staff seem very helpful and friendly. The tech came out about a week or so later. He arrived within the time window they had given us. The tech again reviewed our paper work and was apologetic that he could not view the machine the last time. The tech dismantled the microhood and ended up breaking one of the vents as he was taking it a part. He attempted to diagnose the problem, noted he would need parts and would schedule a return visit in two weeks. During our last appointment where he was supposed to arrive between 11am and 1pm he arrived at exactly 1pm. He spent some time reviewing the machine again and changed a fuse on it. He gave us a replacement vent for the one he broke at his second visit. The microhood still doesn't seem to be working as good as it was before it broke but it is functional.

The first company I called was bad because after the visit, I had to call him back because the problem was worst. He came back, made an adjustment to the rubber sealant around the tub and said if he had to come back again he will charge for the visit even if the problem persists. I called Bosch and complained and told them they should not have this company on their authorized list of technicians. They told me to call another company and that they will pay for it. I called Fieldpro. They seem more experienced. however, the problem I had with this dishwasher was unique. it was not easy for them to figure it out. however, what I appreciated was that they said they will come back as many times as needed to fix the problem to my satisfaction. they stood behind their work. it took a few more visits, then it was resolved by Todd who is the owner. he showed that he knows the Bosch machine and he took the time and was very meticously in trouble shooting the problem. And he resolved the problem. It was a simple problem that the machine was not set in properly in the first place. The installer wanted to set the machine in flush with our cabinet and by doing so, the machine was not level, thereby causing one side to not seal properly. None of the other technicians took the time to take out the machine and determine why it was not set properly. Good job Todd!
