    The lawnmower was looked at and a gasline issue was found.  I had it repaired but a different company first and the lawn mower ran 30 secs before dying.  They ordered new parts and installed a switch so i could turn the gas off completely and drain the line.  Took a while to get the parts but it now runs perfectly.

    Horrible communications around setting the right expectation, and keeping me posted of delays, on when mower would be fixed.  They had my mower 3 weeks. Now my grass is too tall to mow.   I had to call them about 6 times to continually check on the status.  They never once called me to tell me of the delays.  They just kept saying, "part has been ordered, should be here any day.. you will have it by this weekend".  Then the part they ordered was broke.  They need bettter management around tracking orders and communicating proactively with their customers if things deviate from the expectation they set.  When I told them I was not happy, the service guy took an attitude essetially communicating he really didn't care if I was happy or not.  I wrote an email to the general mgr and all he did was make shift the blame to me, and didn't care that I told him he lost a customer who had used them 3 years in a row.  He could at least PRETEND that he cares about customer service.  I missed the window for mowing, spent $353, and got attitude instead of an apology.

    I took my John Deer Lawn Tractor to Fisher for service. The mower is about 7 years old and used regularly on my acre of grass/field.I told them what I wanted, and I got an estimate on the phone later that day.The work and parts were expensive, but they always are for a quality brand like John Deer.Their work was done well, and when I dropped off and picked up the mower, they were more than helpful (considering I didn't have the proper ramps for my trailer).

    I purchased a power washer from one of the box stores a couple of years ago and apparently didn't prep it correctly for winter storage. Last year I tried to unsuccessfully to start the machine; to the point of pulling a muscle in my back. This year I decided to take it to a shop and have it serviced. I asked around and took some personal recommendations and a couple from Angie's. The other shops I called had limited business hours or did not return my calls. After a phone call informing me it might be as long as 2 weeks, if parts were required for the Honda carburetor and there was a $35 upfront fee and they would receive the machine on a Saturday I took my washer to HRB. 4 days later I got a call that the machine was ready, just had water and bad fuel in the carb, no parts required and no charge above the initial upfront $35 service charge. I came by on Saturday morning, they started the machine (1 pull on a cold engine), activate the spray unit to my satisfaction, and then they helped me load it into the car. They were upfront, no sales pitch and willing to ensure I was satisfied with the end product. Can't ask for too much more than that.

    Two year old lawn mower would not start. Dropped it off at Jay's. Estimate was $72 and 1 week turn-around. Three days later I got a call that mower was fixed. I picked-it up over the weekend. Repair bill came to $83. Tech fired-it up in front of me to show me that everything was working again and helped me load the mower into the back of my pickup. When I used it on my lawn, the engine fired-up right away (actually it is now more responsive and requires only a single pull to start). Great price, honest service and mower runs better than new now. I would definately come back to repair my mower if it breaks down again.

    When I bought my house, the previous owners left the lawn mower, an old, 21-inch Murray push mower. It worked okay, but was visibly "well used" and it had debris in the gas tank. Dropped it off at Roy-Boys on a Saturday, was given a sight-unseen estimate of ~$95 and that it would take 10-12 days to complete, and they helped me unload it out of my vehicle (an SUV). The work was completed on time, included an outside steam clean, the final bill was cheaper than the estimate, and they helped me load it into my vehicle. With dropoff and pickup, I interacted with two, separate individuals and both were pleasant. I would encourage an estimate based on actually seeing the equipment just so everything is above board. Also note, there is a minimum work charge that is not obviously noted (yes, there is a sign in the service/repair-side of the building, but my dropoff interaction took place in the retail-side and the sign wasn't noticed until during pickup when I saw it through a hole in the wall during my wait in line).

    Roy-Boys were referred to me by my previous landscapers. They have a great service department that is as big as the store. They cater to many professional lawn care people. They carry very good products for businesses or for homes. They truly know what they are doing. They are professionals in their area. They took my old mower apart and explained what needed to be fixed and the cost.

    We dropped it off on a Saturday afternoon and by Tuesday morning they had a quote and had it repaired by that afternoon. Absolutely wonderful customer service! They explained in full detail what they were going to do and were very honest about what was going to be done. They did a lot of work for a little amount of money. Very impressed!
