Noe responded promptly to a request for an estimate. His crew was able to start work within a week. They arrived on time and did a great job. I can tell that my house is warmer already. Very neat and non- smoking crew. And this is a contractor trained for energy trust work which can qualify for rebates.

They responded with a phone call the same day I sent them an e-mail. A salesman/estimator (Kevin) came to our home a few days later on a day & time that WE set. The job was scheduled for one week later. The installation crew arrived on time, and went right to work. They were pleasant, professional and focused. Dylan headed-up the crew, and Kevin came with them to ensure there were no questions, miscommunications, etc. The work was performed on-time and on-budget. Clean-up was quick & thorough. They completed and submitted the application for an Oregon Energy Trust incentive/rebate that will return approx. $630.00 to us.

    Paul Cottle Construction LLC
On budget, ahead of schedule and looks beautiful! I called Paul Cottle Construction a couple of years ago for a small remodel, and didnt hesitate to call again to do some more updates to my home. There was some dry-rot in the siding on the south side of the house. I had the siding replaced, had a sliding door removed and replaced with a standard window and had a small deck removed. Jesus and Antonio did the work on the house. They worked in the sun, through 90+ degree days, and they worked hard. They were polite and professional, kept me informed during the process and finished the project earlier than initially projected. I so appreciate Paul and his team. I am very pleased with the work that they did. The exterior and interior look great. Changing out the sliding door to a standard window has made a large difference to the temperature in that room. They cleaned up well and left my house in great condition. I would definitely call Paul for other projects in the future and recommend him to friends and family.

I supplied the base, shower walls, plumbing fixtures and floor tile. The bath was done in 2 stages due to delays by Kohler in delivering items ordered. Demolition took place along with behind the walls plumbing, installation of the shower base and tile, and venting of new fan outside. The team, Mark and Audrey were prompt, professional, pleasant and excelled at all aspects of the removal and installation. Second phase completed priming and painting, installation of shower walls, completing of floor tile/trim, installation of towel bars etc. Once all was complete it was time to measure and install frameless shower doors. My installation was particularly challenging as the large shower panels couldn't make it up the spiral staircase. Mark and Audrey built a ramp to pull the panels up the the roof, then through the bedroom sliding doors. Every was done with the utmost care. There was one miscommunication about the shower doors that were to be installed. Paul immediately had the issue addressed and the doors were completed to my total satisfaction. I was totally impressed with the professionalism Paul, Mark and Audrey and absolutely love the work that they did. I was so pleased we are going to have them do our vanity/dressing area next. The picture below is before the glass shower doors.

Once work actually started it went well. The only real issue was that they weren't available to start the project until December (pushed back from November) and I had contacted them and got the bid in August. I only graded as good since it was a garage remodel it didn't need to be the most pristine job so there were a few details that were still left very rough when the job was done. I had considered adding on some more work as a change order but due to scheduling it would have been a while before we could have had it done.

Took quite a while to complete... I had additional work done than the AL deal (more square footage). Part of the service was rodent inspection, which was done 4 time over 6-8 weeks before actual project was started. Project was completed over several non-consecutive days. Debris was not picked up in a timely manner... stayed on property ~4 weeks. Crew was very polite, friendly, and courteous. I do not believe they ever smoked on the property, but I did not like that all of the men came into my home smelling of cigarrettes.

Kevin called ahead of the appointment to let me know he was running 10 minutes late which was totally fine and I appreciated the call. Kevin reviewed the current setup in the crawlspace, and gave me an honest opinion that the old insulation was in pretty good shape and other than a certain small section he really didn't see any issues. I appreciated Kevin's professionalism, expertise and honesty. If I find another weatherization project in the future I'll certainly be reaching out to Northwest Weatherization!

The job went very well. Mark showed up early every day. He has a lot of good ideas and is very meticulous with a great eye for detail. He also found places to save us money along the way.
We hope to have more work done next year and we will definitely be calling Mark for that.

Everything they advertise. However I was not happy when I was charged extra for cleaning the return it was not mention in the deal. How is that an extra? SMH paid nearly more then I paid for deal not deal

First of all, I'm wondering why Angie's list is doing all of this promoting and free advertising for a company that has a c- rating and multiple complaints with the Better Business Bureau?  This really upsets me, and I think something funny is going on with all the glowing reviews on this site.  The complaints on the BBB website sounded a lot more like the company I experienced.  This isn't just a matter of them being unprofessional, they are running a scam, and they know it.  I trusted Angie's list so much, that I made the mistake of giving this company a large deposit of $950.00, which was supposed to be half of the cost of treating my crawl space for rats, and removing the vapor seal and insulation.  I had a bad feeling and sent the owner an e-mail within two hours letting him know that I was going to get a second opinion from another company, to which he didn't respond.  I had another company come out,  and the confirmed my concerns that we were scammed.  Simmons and Crowe put three dime store mouse traps with peanut butter on them and claimed that they started the job.  First of all, as if it even needs explaining, you don't fix a rat infestation with  three mouse traps.  Second of all, it's not industry standard to treat rats with traps, even if they used the right kind, which they did not.  It would be like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.   This isn't just bad business, it's a complete joke.  The new company I hired the next day put several bait houses around the house which is what a reputable company does.  This method takes care of the problem because the rats eat the poison and then take it back to their homes.  I called the owner of Simmons and Crowe within 16 hours of giving him a deposit and told him I was using another company and wanted him to refund the deposit to by credit card.  He was very rude, confrontational, and defensive.    He told me he doesn't do refunds.  Then he had the audacity to tell me that I didn't do "my job" by researching other companies before giving him the deposit.  He also said I was just trying to take a lower bid, which I let him know wasn't true ,because we are paying the new company significantly more.  This was a horrible experience, and I'm very disappointed that my relationship and trust in Angie's list is what caused me to get in this mess.  We are formally disputing the matter with our credit card company.
