    Javier showed arrived to preview the project. I let him know about a tentative start date and he expressed his interest and relayed that I would get an estimate before hand. After not receiving an estimate, I contacted javier again to follow up and he asked me to text him my email again. He never did respond with an estimate or even a follow up call. If he was not interested in the project it would have been nice if I wasn���t lead to believe he was. The lack of communication is very unprofessional.

    The "4 weeks" promised is now going on 4 months. Had one guy one half day over the last 2.5 weeks. Will not return phone calls or texts. I guess I got taken on my end with so many items outstanding that were paid for. Hire for minor remodel and multi other items (ie, installing new light fixtures, installing outlets, painting).

    request an estimate for covering two popcorn ceilings Javier called promptly his estimator Fernando came out, told him I had sent a sample of popcorn ceilings out for asbestos testing, he told me depending on the results what option i would need to do. later that evening he sent us the estimates when i received the positive asbestos report i advised Javier and scheduled the job. took 3 days his workers worked had and finished, very good job rooms look great all popcorn is gone..

    This was our first remodel job (my husband & I are retired) and Bryan was exceptionally patient with our decision making process while guiding us along the entire way. When he sets a calendar for each stage of the process, he sticks to it. We'd heard stories about getting contractors to stay w/ respective jobs, but our experience with BSC General Contractor was all positive. We had the hard work of clearing everything out, living in our downstairs, and doing what Bryan called our 'homework': pick out our appliances, counter top and cabinets. The sub contractors he works with are professional and experienced & therefore very helpful with all our questions. Also we can't say enough about Bryan's son, Ben, who is extraordinarily skilled as is Bryan's nephew, Brian, at demolition while keeping the area they worked in clean. And since our home is from the 70's and has 'settled', Ben knows how to work with uneven walls, floors, etc and make the new countertop, cabinets and tile work evenly! The team is responsive, always timely, easy to communicate with and kept on track even with a few days of snow/ice. We are budgeting to have our bathrooms remodeled hopefully later this year and will not hesitate to hire Bryan to do this work for us.

    No, I absolutely would not use this provider again. They could create a definite time line for the job to begin and end. They could have a more specific list of things and could be specific about the project like the color and brand of paint to be used and if they don't have that to ask for it when they are drawing up their plan. They didn't have a clear scope of the issues that came up during the demo, like the duct work they claim they didn't know was there. They were up in the attic crawlspace beforehand looking at what was involved in that area and clearly there was a duct in that space. That wasn't figured into their work scope so we had to stop everything and get that taken out. There were problems with the fire stop on the framing. When they were putting the framing in they didn't calculate the fire stop and then later tried to charge us extra for that when it was clearly part of the scope of the project that they didn't figure into and then tried to pass it onto us to pay extra. That code was in place many years before. The contractor told me it must have been a new code that he was not aware of  and that was not true. There was some due diligence that wasn't completed on his part. I had asked him to drop a floor for a shower that was going to be going in and he just didn't contract, he didn't include anything about the shower. There were some errors probably on both sides, but he didn't help me to understand that there was more to be done if he wasn't going to pursue the shower that I needed to find other solutions if he didn't want to give me an estimate on that part. My tile person thought my contractor was doing the shower ect. There were some communication problems early on and they and they seemed to drag the project out forever based on their schedule. They weren't at all concerned about our schedule. That is due to the fact that there was no specified time line and that may very well be a part on our side as well. My dad had to use a porta potty for months and had to go live with other people for months because they just took their time and tried to blame it on other factors that didn't have a lot to do with it. They had one guy coming to work when we expected a team of workers to come in and just working on this. He came up with a lot of excuses which was definitely not very professional. Especially with his electrician, we had a horrible experience with him and getting him to come back and finish what he started. We had even hired him to do extra stuff because he seemed to be promising when he first got here and he turned out to be a total dud. So, that wasn't a very good experience. The job did finish, I'm just not completely satisfied with the end result as far as some of the paint job and the fact that we had to constantly babysit every aspect of the job. They had to redo a lot of things that they were trying to pass off as good work. The ceiling in the bathroom was lumpy. I mean, it had obviously lumpy seams. The seam work was horrible, you could see it. He tried to tell me it would just go away with the light, once we had the lighting in. We were not happy with that so we told him it was not a good explanation for us and that it needed to be redone. He made it sound like it wasn't a big deal. Just kind of dismissed our concerns. Later he tried to apologize for it but I just, I had already gotten a bad taste in my mouth about this person and it really didn't sit well with us. They ended up redoing the ceiling and it turned out much better. We had to have them do a lot of touch up painting. I think that was kind of normal after all the other workers had come in. The trim work painting was horrible, horrible. I was assured they would do prep work before they painted the trim because it was existing trim. I raised concerns about it in a photo that I had sent him and he said they were definitely going to do trim work before they painted and they did not. It just got to the point where it was exhausting to try to tell these people to come back, that it looked bad. I just started living with it because I didn't feel like I was getting acceptable work. So I just sort of dropped it after that.

    Ron's Repairs
    Fantastic! Ron pays close attention to detail. He is a perfectionist in his tile work and always goes out of his way to assure that everything works exactly right. He is always punctual, communicates well, and is fun to work with. I trust him with everything in my home. He's knowledgeable in so many areas, I'm not sure there's anything he can't fix. The only negative I can think of is that his schedule is tight because there are so many people that want him to work for them. You can't go wrong hiring him for any job; he's a great find and a true talent.

    Shower head is still sloppy after Kevin came out and replaced it, caulk is messy and in places it should not be and the water valve was installed upset down so it hits the valve that turns on the shower head from the tub spout. Kevin had to open a wall and has patch/repair of said wall is visible. Kevin had said he would get the correct piece for the shower head and be back in a few days. I waited over two weeks and tried to contact him and he has yet to reply to multiple text messages and voice mails.
